Hey guys,

an article about skin printing. I did not know, that this technique is far enough to produce real healthy skin. A citation from the article : " Atala said the researchers already have been able to make "healthy skin." " Sounds interesting. Hope it will give us results soon. Stay tuned, all together.

Here is something new that stops fibrosis.

What do you think? So many treatments and nothing works completely. Well. When will there

be something that really helps?

That's what millions of people wanna know. I dunno... So many DECADES people have been hearing of the possiblity of scarless healing and still it isn't here. Seabs posted this article once which was from 1928? or it was even older which spoke of scarless healing. So you could think it's kind of against one's better judgment to think that WE WILL see scarless healing in our lifetime contrary to all those people in the last decades and decades and decades and decades, one could say. But.......like Jerry Cooley said what we're seeing now are the first fruits of the hard work and all the research that has been done in the field of regenerative medicine over all these years. That's the current time. So.......I'm still hopeful. Like I said many times, the thing I'm most excited about is decorin which is coming. When it will be here, I don't know but... I'm sure we'll see it when we're still (kinda) young. That is if it doesn't fail. But I have a good feeling about it. I kinda repeated myself here and all of this you already know but I just thought I'd come on here and ramble a bit. lol =]

Which medications contain decorin? We must investigate that

Why? I mean even if you had medication which has it...what are you going to do? Plus decorin not being the only component makes it kind of useless too, I think. I really think there's nothing we can do except wait until it comes out. Unless anyone here is multi-multi-multi-multi-millionaire and is willing to invest that money into a running development plan for decorin of some other potentially helpful drug. ;)

car-decorin is not or in testing phase, so that product goes on sale sure will spend 30 years, and there are no other things to the view. We cannot expect that these products goes on sale that we would be too old already.

We have no time must experience for ourselves. the question is that.

Decorin is the answer?

It might be. Some people who appear to be genuinely knowledgeable say they believe decorin will in fact do the trick. Time will tell, I guess.

Ive come across a couple surgeons who are currently using stem cells for procedures. They ofcourse arent promising 100% improvement, but it sounds like the results are a huge improvement... and who knows how long we'll be waiting around for the cure, so I'll take the best I can get. Ive been looking around to fix up my stretch marks, which are in the same catagory as scars, and lots of you seem to know alot more on this topic than I do, so I thought Id get some opinions from you.

http://austinaesthetics.com/stretch-marks-scar-removal

http://www.nathannewmanmd.com/

Its atleast a start at getting stem cells into surgical centers, etc.

There is also a clinic in Ukraine called Emcell. It is the worlds largest fetal stem cell transplant center. For the most part it looks like they deal with diseases, etc. But there is an area on the website for anti-aging purposes, so it appears he also does cosmetic procedures.

Here's a pic of wounds treated with RGTA (that's a synthetic extracellular matrix approach) in a pre-clinical study:

RGTA.png

It's not something that makes you go "Whoa, that's AMAZING!" but it's the first pic I've seen of RGTA used specifically for scar prevention so I thought I'd post it. I saw it on their website:

I don't have that much time right now but next time I'll check out your posts, PapayaWhip! :)

http://www.ocregister.com/news/spinal-324725-stem-cord.html

This sounds to good to be true.

I will quote the most interesting part:

"A. I'm working on two new projects, and I'm really excited about them. Both are on chronic (long term) spinal-cord injuries. One involves getting rid of the scar that forms after an injury. If you get rid of the scar, that would make an old injury a young injury again. Therefore, you could apply all these new technologies that are emerging to treat acute (short term) spinal cord injury.

It looks like we've been able to do it in a dish. We've grown spinal cord cells in a dish, we've made them become scarred, and we're able to reverse that scar in a dish. Now we move on to rats.

One thing that is very interesting: if it's successful, this treatment also could be amenable to treatment of multiple sclerosis, which is a brain auto-immune disease, where one's own immune system attacks the brain, and causes scarring. We would use the same approach to reverse the scarring, remove the scarring. This is one of the greatest challenges in central nervous system regeneration research. No one has been able to come close to doing it. It remains untouched."

They reversed scars in the dish. Well. If this is possible scars should be something of the past. I hopethat more treatments will be on the horizon, which heal the characteristics of scars.

Third degree burns healed "scar free"

In third-degree burn treatment, hydrogel helps grow new, scar-free skin

After 21 days, the gel has been harmlessly absorbed, and the tissue continues to return to the appearance of normal skin.

Yeah, the scarless healing thread is BACK!

And this sounds great. So maybe another 4 years and 3000 posts in this thread later, this stuff will be on the market :D

Well that gel seems quite cool. Dextran, eh? More saccharides to the rescue. lol One thing though...they are testing on animals, right? Well I read on Wikipedia about it not reliably predicting effects in humans according to some. Didn't Renovo, whilst testing on pigs, get results which weren't seen when they tested in humans? I might be remembering wrongly but... Anyway, I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. I wonder how they define "a few years". It's cool though. I mean if this thing can do the trick... We'll see... We'll see.

Thanks for posting that, Seabs.

Here is the original paper, for the ones who like to read it.

I don't think, they will need much time to switch to humans.

There is nothing problematic and it can be produced on a

larger scale in quite a short time.

I think, this is something to keep in mind.

I wonder how they define "a few years".

I think as it has no artificial chemicals, It would be tested as a device instead of a drug. I'm sure devices need less time to be approved.

But assuming that this comes out within the next 3 years how would one apply it to old scars? Fraxel, Dermabrasion or C02 first then apply the hydro gel?

I mean for some they would have to remove a WHOLE lot of skin to remove all the scars. Either way this sounds really promising I wonder if combined with the skin gun or re-cell with have added benefits. Fingers crossed it gets approved soon and quickly made available for comestic uses not just severe burn victims.

Uncut It regenerates skin completely in 3rd degree burns in around 21 days, hair follicles and blood vessels with no scar etc. It allows the body to regenerate itself. Also note that if you are burned by 3rd degree burns, this looks outstanding.

Seabs, this does sound amazing but with the whole crap FDA approval system it's still while away from being on the market. But like you said since

it's likely it'll be marketed as a device hopefully this will speed things up and hopefully there's more news on this in the upcoming months.
