your regimen sound great but i think it would be best if u didnt spray it on your face and instead used acotton pad or ball to rub it on your face.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot 🙂 (Just a question-- why do you think that'll make a difference? More gentle?)

if u spray it on then the acv is basically going to just be sititng on your face.. using a cotton pad will ensure that the acv gets into the pores and aborbs.

hey pumpkin-

my skin's gotten to the point where i have to blot only once (or no times) a day... do you think this could have any potential negative effects? like being too drying? cause trust me, my t-zone was oiiiiiiiiiily and now it's completely dry.

i kind of want to experiment and stop doing the acv toner to see if the oiliness comes back. if it does then that means either 1) the acv is more or less permanent or 2) it is definitely the acv and not my skin being funky... what do you think?

hi pumpkin. just wondering, are you using ACV that has already been diluted to 5% acid (that's what it says on my bottle) or 100% ACV?

i have a feeling she got the 100% ACV because she said she bought a stop-n-shop brand (aka cheap stuff). i know the fancier kinds like heinz have the diluted with water.

At the store where I bought my Heinz Pure ACV (5% acetic acid by volume), the cheap brands also were 5% acetic acid by volume). They are all the same. The ingredients were the same as well. The Heinze one was 10 cents more expensive per litre than the cheap brands. I've never heard of a 100% ACV. I think most ACVs have 5% acetic acid by volume.

Nec, you could just apply the CV before u use the AHA think of the CV as a toner and beofre moisturizing some ppl put on Toners .. so byou could just do that.

oh man, pumpkin- YES.. it is amazing. my face really is only oily on the nose and the skin adjacent to the nose.. but seriously, that section produced enough oil to fuel all of america. i could replace the middle east in being our primary oil supply. seriously. but it's amazing- i've kept up with ACV for some time now, usually twice a day. it's summeritme and you hear all that stuff about heat waves and ridiculously hot weather lately... but my face is maintaining its dryness (not like.. overdryness;; i mean like lack of oil). I don't even have to blot my face now, but before ACV toner I blotted around every 1-3 hours.

FURTHERMORE this stuff is amazing on redmarks... i had 7 really visible redmarks and it'd take me soo long to cover them up with makeup. Now, I can go out with just covering three or four of them- and covering them up is soo much easier because they've faded so much. I don't have to do elaborate rituals in the morning anymore! Anyways, the rest of the redmarks- granted, they're not completely gone, but I can only see them when I look closely in the mirror... so, i don't have to cover them up with makeup because they've faded to almost my skin tone.

conclusion: ACV toner is amazing, pumpkin is amazing for suggesting this, and if you want oily skin to be amazing... do it!

I tried making a thread about how ACV and stop oily skin but i guess no1 wants to listen and probobly think its b/s .. maybe you should make a thread about ur experience bc this is wonderful! Oh btw my name is Rebecca, what is yours so i dont have to keep calling you cucumber lol.

Hey I've only tried this ACV thing today and I had no oily skin whatsoever all day long. It's so cool. I've used it 3 times today dilluted with water (50/50) and it feels great. If it's gonna help with the red marks it's gonna be even greater. :D:dance:

P.S. Thanks SmashingPumpkins for posting all this good info on ACV

it's where all the dressing is, it should be right next to the white vinegar
