Benzac hmm usually watson doesnt stock it, but guardian has it and its about 13 dollars? its alot better than panoxy i find, because it doesnt smell that bad as panoxy, and the ONLY active ingredient is BP, in other words its pure benzoyl peroxide and doesnt have other ingredients that may be irritating your skin..

i have a giant cystic one on my nose, got a facial and got it squeezed out gosh i hope it doesnt come back!!

Hi guys, I just came back from overseas a few wks ago and my face broke out quite badly. It could be because of the weather. I went to my GP and he prescribed nimegen to me. i've been on it for 2wks and my face is very red!! I've broken out more too, I hope it'll stop breaking out soon. My lips are dry and I'm using Burt's Bees lip balm. Just found out about this website a few days ago, and purchased an 8oz. BP to try it out. I'm really hoping my skin condition gets better soon... :shifty:

hey there, wish you all the luck you need. No doubt I think your skin would get better. I came across this site at first and i thought this is crazy i would never be able to clear my face. But hey presto it worked. It took about a month but it is finally under control. I used to have red, inflammed acne all over my face and it was seriously bad. I brokeout almost everyday!

Now, i dont have supermodel skin, because i still get the occasional nasty nose pimple and small pimples here and there, but hey its better than my old skin anyday.

Thanks babe! I need all the luck I can get.

I've just started on Dan's regimen with Neutrogena's on the spot BP. The bumps have flattened out but it tends to leave a white residue on my face. I can't complain though. Can't wait for Dan's BP to arrive!

hello dear singaporeans! Happy to see you all here.

Anyone who is on the regime during the first few weeks experienced ITCHINESS? I am on my 6th day of the regime.

Using eversoft moisturizer2x cleanser, Neutrogena spot treatment and Clean&clear oil free moisturizer.

My face itchy like crazy , well ok not like crazy , but i couldnt tolerate it and have to scratch it to ease the itchiness.

For eg: an area on the face is itch, i scratch it gently , after awhile, it became red and looks like insect bite. Weird........`

normal ? Help me ? Any advice?

Your face itches because it is dry from the BP. You need to get accustomed to using BP, you'll notice that after the first or second week, the itchiness will be gone, provided you're using a good moistuirzer. Just bear with it for a few more days.

I couldn't really get used to Neutrogena's on the spot BP treatment though, it makes my skin very dry and patchy, but Dan's BP is really good. It dries up the pimples but doesn't make my skin look patchy.

Thanks so much quesie. I ordered dan's products already. Need 1weeek to 4weeks to arrive.

My face is so itchy that i wash my face with a cleanser in the middle of the day. I did not apply BP again, but moisturize.

Feels better now, But SUPER DRY.. to the extend of Flaking when it wasn't before. Now i am wondering if i should wash my face again at night , apply BP , moisturize.

washing the face makes it very dry so try to do it twice a day only. moisturize alone after that might work but not recommended. i prefer to use AHA in situations like these

nimegen is like Accutane. works great for some people but terrible side effects can happen.

singapore doctors really dont want to prescribe this unless forced to. I have been asking most of the doctors I see to get me on a prescription of these for the past 2-3 years to no success. U need a blood test and a liver check before you can go on it though

actually not to discourage any of you but any treatments take time, including the regimen. You cant expect clear skin overnight, but small changes do happen each night and these all contribute to the big change in the months to come..

and if its really expensive, i would say not to order the products if the price is abit steep for some of you (i get it, im a student, and im always broke and i have no idea why) so i use benzac 2.5% (its pure benzoyl peroxide 2.5%, and MUCH cheaper than neutrogena on the spot, with the same effectiveness!) its about 13.25 from guardian. Lots of moisturisers and gentle cleansers can be found locally as well! :)

Kind of off-topic but does anybody know of a good place to get peels in Singapore? I've not tried any chemical peels before so I figured maybe they should be of help.

well guys, anyone here to share how is the regime working for you?

I have been on it for almost 7 or 8 weeks , but improvement is not satisfying.

There was once which i thought i was recovering really well but broke out again .

The products i am using now are all ordered from acne.org . They are running out and i am wondering if i should continue?

Skin now is looking dull ( Or darker shade then before) , oily after moisturizing , feels that my skin is getting more and more sensitive to products/sun etc.

Frustrating , i was hoping this could work

@SimplyHeaven: I understand your predicament very well. I have weaned off BP for quite a while now, there's no denying it works great in drying your acne but I found that it stings a lot and it doesn't go well with makeup at all. In the afternoon, I'd find my chin flaking like crazy!!! My face looks burnt too. Very embarrassing when I have to go to work like this. I suppose my being on nimegen was also the reason why I was flaking so badly. I've been on a low dose of nimegen for 11 weeks now and I'm seeing vast improvement in my skin. I should warn that you might experience IB in the first few weeks. I broke out quite badly until the 8th week. My face has gone from pizza face to only 3 zits on my chin area. I still have some redness though. But I'm not complaining. It's been a lot better since I first started treating my acne. The itching has subsided too. I am using doctor's prescribed creams and lotions and I'm sticking with it for now.

I hope you'll find something that works for you.

Simply Heaven: dont worry, it took me about 5 months before it actually showed some improvement. Persist on, and continue the regimen. It would be the best decision you've ever made, trust me!

I actually still have alot of scars from the days of acne, and I cant find a decent AHA cream in Singapore.. will continue to hunt!

Avene AHA + BHA is awsome, really does not sting much even on sensitive skin - effects kick in after a week of usage easily obtained at your nearby watsons/guardians

Well the way i see it girls that have taken accutane are basically ruined for life

hollowed-out shells with only a small semblance of still being human walking around blindly

with their clear skin but soulless faces. zombies.

Accutane basically destroys the DNA, the woman's eggs are forever spoiled and the womb becomes

nothing more than a vessel for deformed stillborn babies.

I would never put my seed into these ruined vessels, i would rather fuk an alien. Not that they even

have any lubrication left on their vaginas to even facilitate such an act.

yours truly

Hi fellow Singaporeans =]

Wow, it's been a long time since I've been on this site (almost a year in fact). I came across this thread when I was looking for AHA and jojoba oil since the people down in Watsons clearly did not understand what I was looking for. They all insisted I needed acne products instead of helping me look for AHA, and after skimming the shelves, I was unable to find much.

As I am a student, and I have tried an arsenal of topical and oral medications prior to hopping on to Dan's regime (two weeks and proud), my parents are skeptical about buying more acne products thinking I have had spent a small fortune of their money on them already. Would anyone here recommend me something fairly inexpensive containing the 10% AHA and you guys found some decent, affordable jojoba oil? Some of you guys said Avene works, but are there other options? I feel bad to request for my parents to pay the extra USD $40 just for a small tube of AHA+ and some jojoba oil from Dan's site (as the total cost would add up to $70 or so).

I have bacne as well, but I haven't started BP on my back, considering how it bleaches clothing. At least, not until I have the solution to another problem. I have to wear a white shirt uniform for school, but I am worried that my mom will yell at me if she finds some abnormal spots of BP staining on it. That is, if it can be detectable on fully white fabric (I have not tried in fear of the consequences). We all know that Singapore is hot and humid, so wouldn't it be extremely uncomfortable to wear an undershirt under those layers of uniforms? The weather calls for constant sprays of deodorant and wiping off excessive amounts of sweat. What have any secondary/JC people here done?

Thanks for your help :D

@Alex

Try to refain from doing chemical peel intead try research all sorts of natural remedies unless at last resort. One clinic i can recommend is Dr Cindy, she is nice and good and understanding so is all her nurse they wun laugh at you or what. Good service.

@Peachy

I know where got jojoba oil. At Nature Farm they sell organic stuffs. I know Yishun Northpoint does have one outlet. I not very sure whats AHA. Can i guess it is suppose to exfoliate? If that case why not make natural stuffs? COs i heard some horrifying stories about aggrevating more acne since all not all method works on everybody. Like strawberry can exfoliate. Or using salt or sugar etc. Research more.

(:

I am really glad to see this topic is revived. Seems very little singaporeans are aware of such forum. Hmm..
