What's a good AHA product sold in Singapore? I've used Paula Choice to good effect in the States but it doesn't seem to be sold here. Currently using Avene Clearance K, its alright but I want a higher glycolic acid concentration.

Hi, new member here. just started the regime 5 days ago. Got to say I'm already seeing some improvements. I was wondering what kind of moisturizers do you guys use? I just bought the Cetaphil moisturizing lotion, makes my face look damn oily. Decide to just use it during bedtime. Any moisturizers out there that doesn't make my face look shiny?

Qooguy : until now, my skin slightly flakes, depending on the % of BP i use. My derm prescribed 5% and its too strong for me, and so now i back on 2.5% thank god, and it doesnt flake at all :)

kit_fisto : I use neutrogena's moisturizer, scroll up for the link i posted :) its a really good moisturizer, because neutrogena is a brand recommended by dermatologists, and i personally like it as well :) it as SPF, so i dont need to worry about the UV rays and stuff. Its important to buy a moisturizer with SPF because if not it will aggrevate acne.

I personally have no experience using AHA becaue i need to get clear before i can worry about the scars of pimples past ;D

Wow, i have been on the regimen for about 6 weeks, and i still flake even though i am using 2.5% bp =(. But i add in jojoba oil,, and it helps abit. However, ii find tht the neutrogena moisture always turn white on my face whenever i apply it after BP. Do u have the same problem vague?

Just something to share with you guys. For people who faces turn red after the application of BP, well I have the same problem too. I thought it was the BP acting on my skin. But it turns out that its the moisturizer that's been giving me the lobster face. Before that I was using the Cetaphil lotion. After changing to the Neutrogena one, the redness subsided. So it may not be the BP that's giving you redness, it may be the moisturizer. :D

Anyone has a recommendation for a carry-around lip balm? My lips are peeling from accutane. Kiehls maybe?

qoo: yes it does turn white, but i will smooth it out evenly so it disappears :)

bblack: ive had peeling lips, and i think the ones you can get from pharmacies are a lifesaver, they are white and the cap is usually pink or blue and it's shape is like a triangle, like your average tube with a rounded cap. i think its called vaseline lip therapy :)

Yes, the moisturizer might make your face red inititally but its one of the best around after you get used to it. jojoba oil might irritate your eyes though, so be careful not to let it get too close

petroluem (vaseline) might be slightly irritating on some skin. its good if you are not sensitive to it though as its cheap and really does the job well

Hey thanks for the input.

My derm gave me skinceuticals lip repair, it comes in a pump bottle and works wonders but its costly ($59). I'm currently using kiehl's lip balm for men, great travel size and works well too.

I used to have Neutrogena lip balm stick but it never helped for me.

I think in terms of products, everyone has different skin and we must all experiment with different kinds of creams before we know what our skin is suitable for :)

for my, salicyclic acid products do NOT work, even clearasil does not work.

However for my friend, it worked wonders.

Thank goodness the regimen worked for me, because I would never dream that in 6 months from pizza face i became normal looking

it takes patience and time, and meanwhile you've got this forum to keep you busy :D

nono not accutane, its medocycline or something like that, its an anti-inflammatory drug.

^Just to add, medocycline or w/e is just antibiotics...

I took doxyclcine + bp, worked very well for the past year, then an bad outbreak in Jan this year, so I'm on accutane.

Really hope it helps, i got pepperoni pizza face now :(

actually she said the BP is kinda like spot treatment, it doesnt actually stop the pimples, nor prevent it cures :(

hi fellow singaporeans.. are you guys still on the dan's bp regimen? hows the results so far?

I've been on the regimen for about 5+ months. I got results after 2+ months. I have to say, my skin is a lot better. Pimples that appear fades away after 2 days. Can't believe I spent so much money on products that don't work before. My cost so far for the regimen, $140 in 5+ months.

And if im going to use benzac 2.5%, how much is the full amount to use??

Thanks alot!

For me I use half the length of my index finger when I first started out. As the weeks go by, I increase to a full finger length.

I dont use as much because my skin will flake like crazy and it feels like hard and dry, but i just spread it evenly over my entire face and let it dry before doing the sph 15 moisturizer. It works for now :) anyone having problems with acne on the back? ive got alot of scars ohno

Hi, I saw this post a few days ago and decided to try the products you listed. So far, I got the moisturizer and the cleanser. However, as for the Benzac, I can't seem to find it. Hence, I switched to the Neutrogena cream. Hope it works...

hi guys

i have tried several things b4

from what i gather...

AHA - clear pores

BHA - clear pores too but go deeper

BP - kill Pacne

that all u need

so.....

arm with these knowledge i have been hunting for the product that will work for me

btw.. different skin different result..

it might work for me but u might not work..

but it follow's DAN regimen.. only not so much...

i started with Kiehl's blue series

cleanser, toner and moisturizer, Neutrogena on the spot..

i have replaced the

Kiehl's cleanser with Neutrogena Acne wash

because both contain salicylic acid *BHA* and it is cheaper

so i have been on

Neutrogena cleanser, Kiehl's toner, Kiehl's moisturizer Neutrogena on the spot...

for nearly 2 years.. mild breakout...

and i occasionally skip the toner cuz it is alcohol and kinda hash

and when i stop the BP.. i usually get break out after 2 days.. if laziness wahahhaa

not immediately..

but recently i found another product and i am so far loving it...

i replace the Neutrogena cleanser with

Hada Labo AHA/BHA cleanser

this cleanser doesnt come with fragrance so it smells awful, and no other nonsense ingredient

compare Hada Labo wash with neutrogena wash

my face doesnt feel tight and dry after the wash... and so far it looks very clear...

and also i have replace Kiehl's toner

with Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid lotion.. *pat approx 3 mins for everything to absorb

then follow by my Kiehl's moisturizer then Neutrogena..

my face doesnt feel that tight and super dry..

and so far.. so good! :D

Hada Labo cleanser *AHA/BHA*

Hada Labo lotion *HA* to hold moisture

Kiehl's moisturizer *BHA* *might try clinique's acne moisturizer*

Neutrogena On The Spot *BP*

:D

hope it helps
