But one thing i noticed is that my skin is very sensitive! I cannot handle tooo much BP2.5%,
and the derm gave me panoxyl5 which is BP5%! its kind of drying and my skin feels.. dead
imagine if i covered my face in BP10! hahaha. My guess is that it would be as hard as a cornflake
oh gosh im so busy i forgot about emailing you and this forum ><
so sorry, better remember to do so soon. hahaha
yup im trying to, but whenever my skin starts drying up i have to skip BP and use moisturizer till it goes back for abit, because if i dont and continue with BP, it seems to get worse
hi fellow singaporeans,
how is the regimen going for you guys?
i just came across this site yesterday. very exicted to start. getting supplies today.
i dont have much of a acne problem but i have these red spots. i have no idea what they are or if the regimen is going to help. i guess ill soon find out. -ALL FINGERS CROSSED-
oh please god, i hope it works. -.-
okay this is what i got.
1) Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
2) Neutrogena - On-the-Spot
3) Eucerin - Hydrating & Protecting Moisturiser
could not find any other moisturiser so din have a choice there. its has Alpha-Gulcosylrutin (AGR) and Vitamin E. no idea what AGR does or if it would cause any side effects when mixed with BP in step 3.
Edit; ok i found out abt the ingredients in Eucerin - Hydrating & Protecting Moisturiser:
Aqua, Glycerin, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Cyclomethicone, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Tocopherol, Sodium Carbomer, Trisodium EDTA, Glucosylrutin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Butylene Glykol, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Isoquercitrin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
DOES NOT CONTAIN ZINC OXIDE!!!
Oh hi roshan if its not acne but red spots i don't think you need BP unless you continue breaking out. If the spots are scars, then you can probably try scrubs if your skin isn't too sensitive, or AHA might help too. Vitamin and other stuff help too.
About the vitamins, you can try watsons or guardian. But i doubt its gonna have a huge price difference as most vitamin pills don't come cheap.
unless you have cable tv you wont have cool asian music on tv hahahaha
im back again! heh. The regimen i say has worked wonders. Before taking antibiotics from my derm, i started this regimen and i saw an improvement after 2 weeks
I swear by it, and even introduced it to my friend whose pimples/acne scar quite badly~
I would say buy BENZAC and not neutrogena because neutrogena runs out SERIOUSLY fast.. like take a look at Dan's video and it looks like that miserable tube would be gone in.. maybe 2-3 days -shivers-
Benzac is found in watsons/guardians for around $13 for a nice big tube.. its benzoyl peroxide.. so theres nothing to worry about either~ it can save both your face and your money! hahaha..
I dont think i want to mass order Dan's products because no doubt i have trust in them but i would much rather but from watsons/guardian because i think its cheaper? Its also hard to co-ordinate everything with everyone and we may as well just pay a little more for our products from watsons or guardian..
good luck with everyone trying this regimen (and to my fellow Singaporeans (yay) )
Helllo guys! Really excited to know that there are singaporeans here!!
Anyway i am 19yrs old, also frm singapore. My skin is really bad >.<, always breaking out about 2 pimples a week. Think its because of my oily skin. In the day, Do you guys wash ur face just with tap water when its oily? i always do that, but not sure if its right..I just ordered the DKR products. Really hope it works well for me. Still waiting for the products to arrive. Will update u all on the results! Cheers!!
hello! it's so good to see ppl from singapore here cos i hate shopping for supplies here in SG
I'm interested in getting the products here too but isn't shipping like $50 we need to get more ppl to order tgt so shipping can be much cheaper gah.
anyone know any good facial wash and moisturisers to use for the regimen?
did anyone know where to buy vitamin b5 in singapore?i bought in GNC before but is pretty expensive they cost bout 40 SGD for 100 pills
There are US online sites that sell cheap supplements, such as iherb, vitacost, vitaminshoppe. For instance, i got 250 capsules of 500mg vitamin B5 at around USD13 from iherb, shipping is around USD12(you can order more to make the shipping more worthwhile). If you are afraid of getting fake goods, use vitaminshoppe instead, they have actual physical shops in the US, but they are a bit more ex though.
Btw, Neutrogena on the spot costs around $7.50 at places like "venus" which you can find in HDB heartlands. I don't really recommend using benzoyl peroxide though, used it for around half a year, makes your skin really oily. Healing time is also significantly slowed.
I HIGHLY recommend the "Nutrition & Holistic Health" forums. I believe that to solve acne, you have to treat from inside out.
rylsha : the neutrogena SPF 15 moistirizer and benzac 2.5 is cost efficient and has saved my life.
Hello everyone really unexpected to see so many of you here too! I had such severe acne that everyone would ask me about it and stuff and I wouldnt be able to take pictures at parties (like all my friends do and really enjoy themselves)
I basically was dying emotionally from my acne and this site is a godsend. I told myself year after year (im only 14) that i would kick my pimple problem but each year it didnt really get any better until now
i think detox is great as well!
For those who are looking for aha in singapore, here a couple of suggestions:
I'm currently using Avene's Cleanance K and Diacneal, both contain 6% AHA and do visibly improve skin texture and fade scars...both are night time moisturizers/serums.
La Roche Posay effector K also is the same as Cleanance K...I find Avene's products to be better for my skin though.
Paula's 10% AHA is also sold in singapore:
hello guys!
I just got Dan's products on 22/12/09 and i am starting it. Up till now i can say my pimples have start to gone down, but just that my face is red. Anyway in my opinion jojoba oil is not tht necessary for us, dan's moistuizer is SUPER moisturizing, i dont experience flakiness at all when i apply his BP. My guess is because of the weather in sg, where it is humid and not as dry as other countries. Anyway i will cont to update on the products . Gd luck everyone!
Koko yew, Yes thats the benzac Im using.
Actually you dont really need to order the products, just make sure you try it out first with products availiable locally before you order a whole big bottle as some people are allergic to certain things ( like benzoyl peroxide)
my cousin has an allergy to benzoyl peroxide and she got red rashes everywhere..
I started the regimen when i started this thread, and now my skin is much, much clearer and i would swear by this regimen. I would say I have tried every single product out there but they all dont really seem to work for me!
