Hi,I just did a manuka honey mask last night- it was UMF 17+, and I mixed it with cinnamon. I left it on for 45 min and my skin felt great. BTW using the manuka honey was much better than regular honey because it is not as runny. Usually with honey it drips and is a mess. this stayed put. I also think the cinnamon is good for you skin. Just wanted to let you know in case you get some.
Good luck.
Oh ok thanks. I'll remember the add the cinnamon. I plan on ordering some tomorrow.
Ah I want to try Manuka Honey so badly! It sounds amazing.Let us know how it goes 🙂
If you want the honey for cheaper you can always buy a manuka honey cream.

Wow!!! The way you covered everything up looks great. Do you like LA Minerals? Always looking for a good new makeup!
Thanks. I still desire more coverage but I don't use a concealer over my zits so it's going to happen.
Yes, I have been using LA Minerals for months now. I used to wear Bare Minerals but the ingredients were breaking me out.
I read in a book that only 30% of your toxins get out by bowel movements and urination. The rest from the respiratory system which as silly as it sounds I hate breathing. I know I breathe poorly and they said the skin complexion is connected to that. I guess I should try and breathe better :/
i asked a couple sites and:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We have done a components test on Astaxanthin. I would like to confirm that astaxanthin doesn't contain iodine. "
Maybe I will try it.
I got the Manuka Honey yesterday. It has a medicinal smell and taste to it which was surprising. It was good that it tastes bad because then it'll last longer .
I also started drinking peppermint tea and eating raw ginger. Of course I don't see a big change in my skin since starting it and leaving it as an overnight spot treatment. However, the pin sized zits I have been getting went down overnight.
I'm using it over the biggest chin scars covered in a cotton ball to see if it'll fade it.
I used Zeno A LOT on a big zit popping up by my mouth but it's still there. It's not as huge as those zits normally are but oh well.
I started the Astaxanthin two days ago. I'm only starting with 1 pill just in case something happens...
I don't know if it is a placebo effect but I think my red marks are fading since washing my face with the honey. I doubt it'll show through the camera.
I got the Clarin's Lotus oil and Burt's Bees Blemish Stick. I noticed the Clarin's oil makes the look/texture of my skin nicely. I normally don't like tea tree oil but it has other ingredients so it's not 100%. I still have the big zit on my cheek healing otherwise I'm basically clear.
I think the reason I broke out by my mouth in tiny zits and the big zit is from the Aloe vera juice. Once I stopped the little zits stopped also.
A Year ago today I wrote down that I had 22 zits counted on my face.
22 ZITS!
My skin is still looking better. Washing with the honey works better than spot treating.
I think the astaxanthin is truly helping my complexion. I haven't gotten any big pimples once starting it. I still have the big one on my cheek though that hasn't healed yet. I zenoed that to death but it didn't stop it. Oh well.
Blackheads are the worst. I always wondered if there were blackheads embedded in the englarged pores that go across my cheeks so I used those Biore strips. There are blackheads in there, but it mostly came up with little hairs!
The blackheads all over my nose are never going to stop since it's the first place I see oil come out.
My nails are actually growing now too. I'm normally biting them down so maybe that's a sign my body is "realigning" or something.
I ate tons of gluten free sugar filled cookies and if I don't break out in the next week then I will be amazed.
The only "active" pimple I have right now is the one that popped on my chin. Otherwise everything that is the reddest are healing.
Too bad I can't do anything about my peach fuzz 😛
These are comparison photos to show my skin has gone through. There are more photos from the past on the first page/first post.
Clarin's lotus oil isn't going to work out. The whiteheads keep on popping up.
I think I know why I would get little zits across my cheek also. The Bare Minerals blush contains bismuth which I thought only the foundation [which i don't use] would but I was wrong.
I'm thinking about trying African Black Soap and charcoal masks.
I can get raw African Black Soap 6z for 5.00 so that's nice. It is known to be very drying though. I might try raw shea butter too but I'm a little worried it'll clog my pores even if I have read amazing reviews about it.
I plan on ordering this Japanese charcoal peel off mask that is supposed to be really good for ripping out black heads .
I stopped those pimples using sea salt and water! I expected the pimples on the side to be cystic like they always are but using it stopped it in it's tracks. I am very impressed. However, it can burn your skin if you use it too much or don't wash it off. If you burn burn yourself that's where the honey works the best.
I've been using Likas papaya soap first then washing with honey and after that I apply sweet almond oil.
The black soap and charcoal mask are in the mail.
hey acnejean,I was looking at your photos and I'm pretty shocked at how fast your skin repairs itself. I was wondering how long an average cyst or medium sized papule lasts for you? It takes me like 4 weeks for it to go down...
A big cystic zit would normally last 2 weeks depending how bad it is. I think my biggest breakout when I tried Spirulina earlier this year lasted for like 3 long weeks for it to all heal! The new zits I got recently have gone down in maybe 1-4 days using sea salt and water.
The only pimples I have right now are super tiny and are above my lip from overnight oiliness. I don't know what to do about that. I wash my face before bed too but it doesn't stop the oil slicks. I tried stopping it with honey over the oiliest parts but that didn't work. Once my face gets oily I think any face mask like Queen Helen's Mint would just slide off.. ick.
I tried the black soap today . I was amazed at how small of a piece it took to get a lather. It was probably the size of my pinkie nail. It left my skin very soft but not moisturized enough where I don't need anything else to put on. Oh well.
I'm not trying anything else right now so if I break out, I'll know it's the soap.
I got a new zit by my chin/mouth but it went down OVERNIGHT with just dabbing it with sea salt and water. I know it was going to be into those big pms zits too but nope! Just needs a little neosporin over it maybe and it's done.
I don't think it's from the black soap since it was just one zit.
Please try it!!
Booo I'm breaking out. I'm going to stop the black soap and go back to the papaya soap.
I going to give green smoothies ONE.LAST.TRY. I think the problem last time was that I didn't add water so it was like eating coleslaw. I could be breaking out from eating all that fat from the sunbutter >: (.
Oh well.
