What was wrong with the AHA cleanser?Theres nothing wrong with the cleanser. Its just too much AHA. I want to use a leave on product. Its too much to use AG Cleanser, azelex cream and Lac Hydrin Five. Im just gonna use the azelex and the lac hydrin five.
Sounds like a good plan!
Its my plan thanks to you Kim
I am so frustrated! I forgot to take my spiro again last night The problem is I work in a nursing home and my schedule is very different. Most nursing homes dont have this shift but I work from 11pm to 7pm. Where I work 3:00 or 3:30 is my thirty minute lunch break. From 4:00-7:00 Im helping the residents. 4:00 a lot of call lights go off. 5:00-6:00 is when the dinner trays come (there are three carts, I have I think 60 patients). 6:30-7:00 we are wrapping up dinner time. Im so preoccupied assisting the residents that I forget to take the second pill. I always remember the first one because I usually take it around 8 oclock which is breakfast time for me. By the time I remember to take the second dose, its too close to bedtime and I dont want to pee in the middle of the night. It messes up my sleeping. I like to sleep straight through the night and I cannot if I take the pill at 6 or 7. I might have to call my derm tomorrow and explain to him my situation. I wonder if spiro comes in 100mgs doses so I can take it once a day instead of 50mgs twice a day (more like 50mgs once a day because I usually forget the second dose).
I'm sorry about the pill thing, that's hard to remember. I hope things keep going well for you! It's one step at a time, I guess...
Awww thank you
I was helping a patient in the bathroom at work today and I was thinking about her husband (who is chinese, shes filipino) and her doctor (he is also chinese). As soon as I remembered the chinese doctor, I remembered its time to take my pill 😆 Im so methodical.
In regards to my make up, I put a dab of Lac Hydrin Five Moisturizer in the palm of my hand and mixed it with my Bobbi Brown Even Finish Compact Foundation and my face didnt itch at all today. So far the moisturizer is great, but its not a definite winner. I will give it three more weeks to make the final decision of whether I like it or not
answerme, I hope you see this post! I have not gained or lost a pound all week. I wish I would lose but I havent gained. YAY spiro and yay wellbutrin the new released version Yesterday, I was able to drink a giner ale from trader joes (170 calories), a sobe, a bunch of water, a piece of cake with a lot of icing, a snickers bar, and I didnt gain weight!
Hi Molly, I'm trying to lose a few pounds that I put on over the holiday season too. The problem is I sort of lost my routine and indulged a little too much. I'm going back to jogging on my rebounder for half hour a day and eating like I did before Christmas. I didn't put on much but because I'm so short it always shows.
So it looks like your starting to see some good results. How long have you been using this regimen now?

hey molly! that's awesome! :surprised: have you noticed any difference in your bowel movement too? don't get too excited, though, and think that you can just eat everything you want! 😛
but seriously, that's something if it is indeed a side effect of the medicine, coz from ive learned in pharmacology, some medicines can cause weight gain and others can cause anorexia or loss of appetite, which i don't think you are experiencing? coz u seem to still enjoy eating, right? keep us updated!

I havent had that much of an appetite actually. In fact, today some people brought filipino pancet (sp?) because one of our residents in the nursing home I work in was celebrating her birthday with her family. They brought cake and pancet. I had a very small portion of noodles and before the medicine, Id eat a lot. Id eat a lot of lumpia when my filipino co workers brought it. I also would sometimes eat two pieces of cake in a day, american cake. Today, I looked at the cake like it was from mars! My appetite has diminished quite a bit and sometimes food looks weird to me! I dont know if the new release wellbutrin has an affect on my appetite too. Ive been eating more slowly, have had less anxiety, I can read for longer amounts of time and have better concentration, etc.

that's wonderful then! 😀 since when did you start taking wellbutrin? by the way, ive read that loss of appetite is one of its side effects.
P.S. which nursing home do you go to? (if you don't mind me asking) and that's spelled as "pansit" in filipino, btw. 🙂

I started Wellbutrin three week from tomorrow.
You are my friend here but I would prefer to keep the name of the nursing home private if you dont mind. What dialect do you speak, togalog (sp?) All of my co workers speak it and some of my patients are filipino also and speak it. Although, there is one patient who speaks another dialect and no one understands her. She also speaks English 😆 She loves me. In fact, shes been telling me everyday all week I love you and she says you love me. Yesterday she said, "I love you two! I love you three!" Her roommate, the same roommates sister (who visits everyday), and I started laughing
I decided to work overtime today to work an hour overtime since I adore those patients. I didnt have time to eat and now Im not even hungry. Now all Im eating are skittles.

that's okay. but watch out. i might bump into you one day. 😉
i speak filipino which developed from a combination of mostly tagalog, english, spanish, and a little bit of chinese and indian. we used to call the national language tagalog though but the academic society realized it was old and pure from the influences of the other foreign words we had come to adopt, and that it was actually just practiced in some northern provinces.
there are i think about 72 or more dialects in the philippines if im not mistaken.
lol it's good to have very nice and humorous patients/residents like that! a few months ago i had to train with this old filipino male patient and he was very difficult and combative. we thought he didnt speak but one day when i was left alone with him and i was putting on his mittens he suddenly yelled somethin like "goddamnit! you can't even do a good job." blah blah blah. i felt seriously hurt and embarrassed the whole day. i never wanted to see him again. 😥

haha! it be cool if could meet some time. 😎 so i suppose willow's from bay area too.
nope, im not a nursing assistant. im a student vocational nurse (svn) who will become an LVN soon. my mom's occupation, however, is like yours. 🙂 now i wonder if youve met her.
also, i think most people still think that Tagalog is the national language. in our university there, our professors had made it clear that it's Filipino and not tagalog.

Yes she is. I wont say where shes from as I have no right to do that without her permission.
How far are you in the nursing program? Its one year of training, right? Most of the charge nurses in the nursing home I work in are LVS. All the supervisors are RNs though
lol maybe I have met your mom. What is your moms name? Why would they call it Filipino?! That sounds vague to me. There are a lot of islands in the philipines, not just one
there are 7,107 Philippine islands from what i can remember.
i have 5-6 months left to finish in school. they said that hospitals are starting to eliminate, or stop hiring LVNs. so we'll most likely be found in other health care settings like long-term nursing homes.
i'll pm u.

Are you freaking kidding me? Not that this is relevant to anything but Im wondering, are there more Americans or Filipinos in the world? I know that Chinese are number one and that Indians are number two. Where do you think Americans and Filipinos fall on the list
When you finish your course, that is when I will tell you what nursing home I work in lol
I love my job immensely but the pay is horrible and I probably wont be working there another full year. I will no longer be under my dads insurance when I turn 25 and Im turning 24 at the end of April. Youre turning 24 May 1st, diba? I remember Im only four days older than you. You are a stubborn mule taurus too huh?
