My face has been a disaster. Ive been breaking out in like ten pustules every single day. I wash my face twice a day everyday. I swear its the weather. I get windburn and my entire body is itching too! Fortunately for me, I have an appointment with my derm on Friday

Okay so I went to the derm on Friday and he gave me a cream called Epiduo which is pretty much the same thing as differin. I know differin is a retinoid but I am using it sparingly and he said its a different molecule than tazorac.

I have this very painful cystic pimple under my ear on the bone. The other day, my dad and I went to Starbucks. I decided to get a frappiccino. Mind you, I rarely ever drink anything containing milk. If anyone here knows of a way to cure a milk allergy besides just eliminating it from my diet completely, please let me know

I wish there was another way but I don't think there is when you have dairy allergy and I have one too. I am allergy to eggs, dairy, and fish so I cut them out my diet and my skin is clear now. It is not that bad to have a dairy free diet and there are some good milk substitutes for example soy milk, rice milk, and almond milk. I use rice dream rice milk and I love the taste of it and I dont miss milk at all. Also there are some great dairy free ice creams, desserts, and cheeses and I can give you a list of them if you want to cut dairy out your diet.

Hello :) I havent been tested for a milk allergy but I am like 99.9% sure I am because I get diarrhea when I eat certain dairy products, a bloated stomach, hives and I break out anywhere from 20-45 minutes from consuming it. Thats how fast I break out from it. What are some dairy desserts you can recommend me specifics? Id love that! Thank you for your help

You can buy those foods from the websites I gave and you can also do a search on your computer for vegan groceries store in your area for example type in vegan groceries in (put your state here). Thats how I found the groceries stores I go too and you should be able to find those dairy free desserts there.

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Two of my zits are completely gone because of this medicine! Today I barely put any of the medicine on because it burns my face for a long time. I put it on two new zits and under my chin where I have a cluster of them and I applied it all over the blackheads on my nose. I used a very miniscule amount. I dont know if I mentioned this in earlier posts but ortho tricyclen lo is now part of my everyday routine. I started it last month and today I started a new pack

I applied a very thin layer of the epiduo approximately forty minutes ago and my face is still burning

I feel like dancing because of excitement. I had this nasty three headed zit that kept lingering on my face and it dried up over night and now its gone! This medicine is fantastic

I feel like breaking down in tears. My face looks so horrible and it hurts so much. This medicine is drying my skin out, its only drying up a few pimples, Im still getting new pimples EVERYDAY, my face is beat red, it hurts, and this face wash is really drying my skin out. This cleanser used to be great for me years ago and now it just dries my skin out. I mean this medicine does also but a couple months ago, I used this cleanser too and everytime I tried using it, it dried out my skin horribly

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the new medication. Make sure that you aren't applying too much to your skin - with these kinds of products, a little bit really does go a long way. You might also try backing off to every other night application and see if that helps the reduce the burning.

Which Neutrogena cleanser are you using? Is the the orange colored one? If so, you might consider switching to something more gentle and non-medicating - that's a pretty harsh, drying cleanser.

Yeah Im not putting that much on. I will try doing it every other day because it really is hurting my skin. Yes, its the orange colored one but its not the one with the salicylic acid. Its called the neutrogena liquid facial soap

That's still a pretty drying cleanser - it might be adding to the irritation you are getting from the medication. If you are interesting in switching, Face Reality just started selling some of their skin care products to non-clients (its just their non-medicated products like moisturizers, cleanser, sunscreen, etc.) Their cleansers also last a long time, you only need to use a little bit. The cleanser of theirs that I use lasts me about 2 months. This one might work for you:

Face Reality Sensitive Skin Cleansing Gel - $24

A sudsy, oil-free cleanser that is formulated for sensitive skin. It cleanses without drying, leaving the skin soft and clean. This is a great cleanser to use if you have inflamed acne lesions. 8 oz.

Click for Ingredients

Deionized Water, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Allantoin, Panthenol, Polysorbate-20, Chamomile, Polyquaternium-10, Fragrance.

Thank you for letting me know about it. I will look into it later. Ive been obsessed with buying new cleansers lately. The Neutrogena I have sitting around is from last year. I should probably just throw that shit away 😆 I also have two full tubes of my SkinCeuticals Cleanser sitting around that I bought long before I started using Epiduo, I have a Dior Cleanser that is halfway gone, and a Shisheido cleanser that I like but I have a lot of it left because I just bought it last month. After I am out of the shiseido cleanser from the purness acne line, I will look into that cleanser. Im so glad you told me about it. I have been looking everywhere for a cleanser that is more than a few oz, but 8 is perfect

I feel like punching a pillow out of rage. People keep looking at my face and asking me what happened to it. Its acne obviously you assholes! Leave me alone! Do you think I want them on my face either.

Im also just frustrated. I break out everyday, some pimples dry up and then form the puss all over again, and I have this group of four I think either nodules or papules that have been on my chin for three weeks and they still are not gone!

Hope the cortizone helps and that the reduced application stops the burning. Have you had cortisone shots before? They can really help speed the healing of the pimples. I've had three shots total, and have been generally pleased with the results (had a bit of atrohpy from the last one, but its gradually improved over time).

Yes, I have, many times. The winter when I was 22 and then turned 23 in April, I had the worst cystic pimples that he injected with cortisone. I never messed with it, but I have an indentation from it still. Today, he injected six pimples!
