WHOA! That was some FAST delivery of your cleanser lady!!! I'm SO glad you got it already. This way you can relax and not worry about running out of it because it's worked really really well for you! Tell us how that mask works for your zit too as a spot treatment!
I don't know why the aloe and moisturizer burns after putting it over the bp. So many people have that problem. I wonder what causes that. Is it just a temporary burning sensation? I know you said your face didn't turn red, but how long did the burning last? I do get that when I use some moisturizer if I'm using bp, turn pretty red, then normal coloring and no burning. I just end up using a tiny drop of jojoba under the bp or nothing. I only use bp around 4 times per week though, so it's really no biggie for me.
The burn is healing slowly because it was such a large area. If it were just a little thing, it would probably be one scab by now. But your skin was burned in a large area so naturally it's going to take a lot longer to heal.
Which reminds me... I heard in the news some girl somewhere was at a bonfire when she decided to re-start the fire which was dying out. She grabbed a can of lighter fluid? I think and as she went to squirt some on the dying wood/coals, it shot out flames, including catching her on fire! She did what you're NOT supposed to do... ran into the house at which time her uncle? had to try and put the fire out on her. He sustained 3rd degree burns on his hands and arms and I last heard she had burns over 70%? of her body! She will remain hospitalized for a long time as they have to do so much for all of that to heal, make sure nothing becomes infected, ugh it's so horrible... then she will need surgeries. As little tiny kids in like pre-school you are constantly taught the "STOP! DROP! AND ROLL!" method if your clothes or anything on you catches fire. Natural instinct is to run, so that's why they continually go over it with the kids all through their school lives so it becomes more instinctual NOT to run. I don't know where she's from, but it was just on the news the past few nights. It's horrible!
OK kiddo take care and all that jazz!

Yes exactly and now and I dont have to worry about one of my parents driving me to the derm to get some. They werent gonna do that anyway but you know hypothetically speaking 😆
The burning after applying aloe vera gel or moisturizer lasts a really long time for me, Id say about twenty minutes, sometimes longer! I think the only way for us to solve this problem is to just not moisturize. I dont like moisturizers because they all break me out. Jojoba oil absolutely hated my skin! I wish I could use that but when I used it one evening, I woke up in the morning and I had ten cystic pimples all lined up in a row under my chin
Not only is it a large area but its on the brachial part of my arm, directly above my joint. Here is how it looked today after my shower Its smaller but it still looks pretty bad and I think it will leave a pink scar for awhile. Hopefully, that will fade
Omg 70% of her body! That is so sad 🙁 My arm is pretty painful. I cannot imagine having a third degree burn on most of my body. Maybe she was so anxious she couldnt think straight and thats why she did the wrong thing. Thats understandable. I often get anxious and cannot think properly.
A patient I took care of today, her daughter came to visit her and she was telling me how she has her own daycare center. She said, one of the children got a third degree burn on her finger and all the parents did was put a bandaid  Third degree burns require hospitalization!
You take care too my friend
hahahaha "hypothetically speaking" - very funny!
Oh Molly I really DO wish your skin liked jojoba oil too! I know you had terrible problems with it and I wonder if there is any other oil that you could use that would be nurturing to your dry skin but not break you out! I really love the way it simply calms down everything and keeps it more like 'skin' if you know what I mean. It's too bad places don't have bitsy trial sizes for $1 that would last 2 weeks to see how your face reacts to them!
I'm gonna have to say it looks significantly better with the care you and your parents have given it! I agree it will probably leave a pink scar for a while, but the good thing about that location is it's on the inside of your arm where the sun usually doesn't hit much. The little burn I had from the curling iron was on the top of my hand where even with sunscreen, it still gets sun. So that messes with the whole color of it. A year later and it looks almost normal. I think because you treated it the way you should right away, you will have a better chance of it looking normal pretty fast.
I feel SO bad for that girl too! I'm sure she wasn't thinking straight OR perhaps she didn't know any better. Lots of people use that lighter fluid or whatever she used to 'pump' up the fire right from the can, never realizing that is REALLY dangerous to do! The fire follows the line of liquid right back up to the can, with a large flareup, and catches anything in its path on fire! To add fuel to the fire, she ran... giving it more oxygen to burn stronger! UGH!!! I would freak out if I were on fire, so that's why they try to begin very young with kids to kind of imbed that STOP! DROP! AND ROLL! concept into their little minds so it almost becomes second nature. Just like they begin to learn to crawl on the floor in case of fire in a building. It's little things like that which can make a huge difference. She will be in quite a lot of pain for a very long time. It is really sad.
How did the little one get a third degree burn on her finger? She must be in a lot of pain!
Ciao!

Im glad someone thinks Im a funny bunny 😉
I dont think I want to risk any oil breaking me out. It would be nice if I could find one, but on the otherhand I dont want my skin to go back to how it was before I started this regimen a month ago.
Yes thats true about the sun and plus I dont usually go out of the house without a jacket. I will have it covered when Im outside about 99.9% of the time and that one decimal of a percent is for when its rarely hot here 😆
Wait I dont understand what this girl was doing. Can you please paraphrase? I dont know what you mean by bonfire  I bet she is very distraught right now and in a lot of pain as you said, emotional pain. I thought third degree burns dont hurt? They certainly dont look pretty but I thought they were painless
I dont recollect how she said the little one burned her finger but that was totally wrong of the parents to not get medical help.
Im gonna go to bed earlier than I have been. Ive been having horrible insomnia, Im exhausted and I might have to wake up an hour earlier to do some laundry blah
lol - I did chuckle for a bit on that hypothetical situation!
I totally agree... you have gone through SO much with your skin that I don't want you messing with other products either. That's why I can't wait to see what your derm says! I bet he will be so glad he came up with this regimen!
I believe what happened was a group of kids were having a bonfire. I don't know if it was the type in one of those big pits in the ground or one of the ones above ground BUT the fire had been burning out and she apparently wanted to start it back up again. Some people use the lighting fluid to start it up again, like when a piece of wood isn't burning well, which is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!! But again, at that age, a lot of people feel like nothing will happen bad. I guess the wood/fire burst right into flames again because of the fuel she was adding and naturally she was right there and caught fire. Then the whole running instead of dropping to the ground to roll out the fire added to fuel the fire more!
I hope you get some good sleep tonight. Take care and have a good Sunday!

No you chuckled at the fact that I used the words hypothetically speaking 😀
The only thing I might as for is the neobenz micro. As much as I love Dan, neobenz micro works better for me. The zits go away over night.
When you say bonfire, I think you mean she was camping, right? How old was she do you know? As emotionally painful as this is, I hope she learned from it and can carry that with her in life.
Thank you! I did sleep pretty well probably because I didnt eat coffee ice cream before bed 😆 I rarely ever sleep well anymore. Im too stressed out and I thought race.
LOL You do have a great sense of humor!
NeoBenz Micro might work better for you because you have very sensitive skin, and I remember you had said in the past bp didn't work well for you and was very irritating. I read the NeoBenz website to see what might be different about it, and it said they use a patented delivery system: "MicroMicrosponge"® Delivery Technology entraps benzoyl peroxide and is designed to reduce irritation to the skin by releasing medication gradually throughout the day." So while it is killing off your current zits and preventing new ones from forming, it is not as irritating as some other bp products might be for your sensitive skin. If you would like to read the website for further information, if you haven't already done so, it's here: http://www.neobenzmicro.com/about/how-can-help What percentage bp is your Neo?
Dan knows you him! lol Everyone's skin reacts differently to each product, so not everyone can use them. Most importantly, I think he has created a wonderful place where people can go to find solutions, no matter which methods work for them, for their skin problems while chatting with other great orgers!
Regarding that girl, I believe she is 17 years old. Apparently she and friends were in the backyard of her uncle's house because they said when she caught on fire she ran into her uncle's house and he had to try and put out her burning clothes, etc. It's not uncommon for people to have backyard fires, just to roast marshmallows, or sit and talk around, like when you go camping, only it's in your backyard. Our backyard neighbor has them all the time in the nicer weather in one of those small open-pit above-ground fireplaces such as are on this site: http://www.woodlanddirect.com/Outdoor/Outd...CFQx7PAodijE_mw
So what I heard happened was the fire was dying down and she had wanted it to burn more, and could have added some more wood, or maybe the wood in it wasn't burning well enough, so instead of fanning the fire to build it back up using that method, she grabbed some kind of fuel to squirt on it! The fire lashed up and at her bc it tends to follow the fuel line and she caught on fire! It was horrible and she was rushed to the hospital's burn unit where she will be for quite a long time as her burns covered approximately 70% of her body!
OK have a good day! Glad you slept well!

Thank you Miss Melanie 🙂 Lets do the Molly is funny dance together
I actually have gone on that website a couple of times. The bp I was using was 5.5%
To be quite honest, Ive tried a few things people on this site have recommended to me and NONE of them worked! The only reason I like coming here is because Ive met friends here and I like responded to other peoples questions.
I dont even know that girl and that story just breaks my heart! 🙁 I hope it doesnt kill her
Honey.... I haven't been a "Miss Melanie" in so many years! I'm Ms. or Mrs. but Miss is so long gone! You, my dear, are a Miss Molly - oh golly! lol
I thought your bp might have been stronger than 2.5% so that could be another reason it's working so well for you! Interesting...
Yes, that girl is in awful shape I'm quite sure and I, too, feel horrible for her. I saw pictures of her with her friends in all the before shots, and she just looked so young and happy! This whole ordeal will change her life forever. It's so unfortunate such a fun event like a backyard get together with a fire could end up like this!
Ciao!

Isnt Miss the same as Ms? Ms is just a shorter way of saying Miss.
Yes but thats not the bp Im currently using because I ran out of samples. My face is looking aweful again today! I got like thirteen new pimples today
She most certainly will be traumatized for life.
I'm sorry about your face! I was getting so used to you waking up with clearer skin. But, I think breakouts will still happen even if you're on a great regimen. When you read around the org, logs especially, you'll see that people break out even when their regimens have been working well for them.
I listened to a lot of the news stations tonight in hopes of hearing some updated information about that burn victim. Unfortunately I heard nothing and have not been able to find the story online either. I don't know where she lives or anything. When I hear something further, I'll update you as well.
In answer to your question...
Mrs. is an indication a woman is married or widowed.
Miss is a woman who has never married.
Ms. can be used by either an unmarried or a married/widowed woman.
Hope you sleep well tonight! (Apparently that's a 'dozing' emoticon although it looks drunk to me lol)

I hope my face looks a lot better by the time I see my derm on the 21st, as in only five new pimples, small ones. I think the reason I broke out badly was I wasnt able to take my antibiotic yesterday morning. I was gonna take it at 11 but I accidentally over slept until almost noon. Thats how tired I was from work. I was able to take it last night. Ive been taking it at 11:30 when I get home from work.
My dermatologist gave me the neobenz micro samples in 3.5%, 5.5%, and 8.5%. Yesterday, I found another one of my 8.5% bps and I applied it to my problem areas.
Do you remember her name? Did they ever see her name or did they keep that private which would be understandable
I honestly dont even watch the news anymore. Ive had nightmares because of stories Ive heard on the news. I just dont want to fill my mind with scary stuff. I have enough problems of my own =/
I slept pretty soundly until 7. Thank you for wishing me sweet dreams in a funny way. I thought that was so funny, that weird looking emoticon you used and the analogy you used hahaha.
Don't worry if you skipped a dose of septra. Your skin wouldn't know the difference if you skipped one dose or not. If, however, you began skipping consecutive doses for a couple of days, that might affect you. You probably broke out for other reasons and to be honest, if you were tired and overslept, it was better for your overall health/body to sleep. You have enough problems sleeping that when you finally do, don't worry. You should take your doses as close to the 12 hours a part as you can, however, if you needed to take that dose a little earlier or later than normal, or even that you skipped it, that's not going to throw off your whole body.
I totally understand you saying you hope your skin clears up for the derm. I remember a long time ago I used to feel that way too because I liked my then current regimen and didn't want him to change it because of some silly breakout. What I learned was in reality, the derm is there to help you attain clear skin. So, if you go in with absolutely flawless skin, he would think the regimen is perfect. If, however, you go in there with a breakout like that which is occurring now, you would simply tell him you usually only get a spot or two per day (or whatever you get) and this breakout is bad because it doesn't usually look like this. Then he could tell you how to control that or what to do in case of another breakout like you have. I remember my derm telling me he wants to see me at my worst lol not at my best. This way, he can arm me with topicals that will help in the worst case scenario and then I would just back off them when my skin looks clear! It's actually so much easier when they see what's going on, even if it only happens occasionally, bc then he could tell you what to do when that does happen!
I don't remember or know anything about her other than what happened. Actually, they did have quite a few pictures of her on tv, along with friends, like at various places. I remember she had blonde hair but that's it.
Oh I KNOW about the news!!! I always keep up with it but some of the stories are so sad or scary that it's really not good to watch right before bedtime!
Have a good day!

I am all caught up on my Septra now. I just took another dose of it. Youre right. I probably didnt break out because I accidentally skipped the septra dose. I probably broke out because my period is gonna come and because well, Ive been eating these Japenese Mochi balls. Have you ever tried those? I buy them from trader joes. They are ice cream wrapped in a thick rice covering. They come in chocolate, strawberry, green tea (which is the worst flavor of ice cream Ive ever tasted in my life hehehe), and mango. Ive been eating a lot of them lately since Im stressed. I believe I am intolerant to ice cream so maybe thats why Ive been breaking out. I love the way it tastes though! Ice cream is one of my favorite desserts. I basically love anything sweet that melts in my mouth
I really hope my skin isnt at its worst though when I have my appointment. The reason I say this is because my dermatologist was so puzzled the last time he saw me. He was pacing because he didnt know what else to give me. All retinoids arent an option because they fuck with my head, clindimycin didnt work, birth control pills after being on them for six months didnt work and actually made me break out worse, spiro didnt work because Im on antidepressants which makes the medication less effective, basically Ive been on every strong prescription medication that exists!
You remember she had blonde hair but you dont remember the color of her eyes 😆 I really hope this young lady makes it and doesnt die from this. That is so incredibly sad. I dont even know her and I totally hope she pulls through this. I mean I know its something she will never forget but I just hope she lives.
I frequently watch parts of the news when Im feeding patients in their rooms but I dont watch it at home. I havent heard a positive happy story in months, not one!
Now Im having another problem with my arm argh! So everytime I put one of those bandages over the wound, I had to put tape on it to keep the bandaid from falling off. Today I switched to a different kind of bandage. Its an absolute water proof nexcare bandage my dad bought me at walgreens. I had to use two of them to cover the entire burn 🙁 Now my arm has a rash from the tape and there are also tape marks on it
You have a nice day too Ms Melanie the Magnificant
OMG I am so frustrated and furious! I put two of those bandaids my dad gave me to put on my arm and they already fell off. I just put one on now again and it didnt even stay on my arm for five minutes, what a piece of crap! Im just gonna put one of those moist burn pads on it, a four by four gauze and wrap it in curlex AGAIN
NO! I have never tried the Japanese Mochi Balls BUT they sound delicious (except for the green tea one of course )! I'll try them when I see them in the store!
Yes... you came up with a good explanation as to why you are probably breaking out. That's why I said realistically speaking, you are limited in the options you can use, so you have to get the best regimen for your skin using the products you can use. Then, when you do have a flareup, hopefully the derm can tell you what to use to calm it down.
That's so sad about your arm again lol. Are you going to get those expensive burn bandages that you've been using because it hasn't healed enough to be without them yet? Or do you think you're done with them?
Have a good night Miss Molly...

They are addictive. Im gonna try and go a month without eating ice cream. I am gaining weight. Im almost 160 pounds; that is too much for an almost 24 year old! I have been eating too many of those Mochi Balls, waaaay too many! Ive had five of them in a day and two or three in one sitting! I really do have a binge eating problem. I just eat and eat and eat even if my stomach is full
I know what to use to calm my acne down, NeoBenz Micro 8.5% because thats what I used tonight and the night before 😆
My arm is still in tremendous pain. It aches and it will definitely scar. It already is starting to 🙁 That one deep part is a bit less red but I still wish it wasnt red at all and it has an abrasion over it. I will take a picture tomorrow.
No I wont be getting those burn bandages again. They are incredibly expensive. Its like $10 per bandage! Most of my skin has grown back except for that deepest part of the wound, it hasnt grown back new skin yet :boohoo: I dont know yet what Im gonna use to cover that part of my wound.
When you go to the derm, have him check your burn too. He'll be able to comment on how it's looking.
As far as cutting out ice cream for a month, that's a great thing to do if you want to try! But you could also diet during the week and give yourself a break on the weekend and allow yourself a treat on Saturday and/or Sunday. That's another fairly successful way of doing it!
Ciao!
When you go to the derm, have him check your burn too. He'll be able to comment on how it's looking. As far as cutting out ice cream for a month, that's a great thing to do if you want to try! Yes, I will most definitely ask my derm if he sees improvement in my arm...thats if I dont forget again like the last time I forgot to ask him something important
That wont work. The only thing that will work is if I just dont buy it. If its in the house, I will crave it on the weekdays and the weekends and I will become impulsive and keep eating it. Do you think 160 pounds at 5'5 is too much for someone my age? Does age matter with weight or it just matters what weight I am in relation to my height?
Im exhausted as usual so Im gonna hit the haystack! Beunas noches (I probably spelled that wrong but I tried hahaha).
You could begin to keep a list of questions you want to ask your derm. Just keep the list in a place you won't forget when you go to the derm or that list sitting next to the bed won't help when you're in the derm's office!
If you know you have to keep the food out of the house because of your impulsive eating habit, then don't buy it for sure! That's good that you recognize that about yourself bc you can re-train yourself into going food shopping after you have eaten so you're not hungry in the food store! Then just buy foods you know you should eat, and skip right past the best foods in the store! lol
In figuring out weight they go by height, body type, bone structure, muscle weight, and body fat. In other words, how you look has more to do with what you should weigh as opposed to some number on the scale. Since muscle weighs more than fat, two people could weigh the same but one looks slimmer than the other. One person could carry all their weight in a well-toned muscular body while the other has most of the pounds in fat! So instead of worrying about weight, it's more important to worry about the foods you put into your body, exercising to keep your body in good shape, and the way you look and feel.
If you are looking overweight and feel you have more fat than you have muscle, so you're carrying your weight in fat, then it's time to eat more healthfully and exercise to get in better shape! There have been studies that show when people diet, they want to eat more! It's actually better to do a lifestyle change by incorporating healthier foods into your meals and exercising to stay in shape. You will notice you feel better overall that way and don't feel deprived bc you're dieting.
Good luck with your arm and Ciao!

lol no I wont forget the list and keep it at home
lmao I dont know about that! I cannot skip all the stuff I enjoy. Maybe I will just buy some chocolate covered fruit, one container. I certainly do not diet and I never have.
I dont think most of my body is made of fat. Some of it is. I have big calves, big thighs, and big hips, I have medium sized arms and I would say my stomach isnt flat but my gut isnt huge either. I eat like crap and I dont exercise except for at my exhausting job.
Im trying to upload pics of my arm but imageshack.us is acting weird on me
Alright, its a little bit past 11:30 now and imageshack.us is working for me again. Here is a pic of my arm bent and a pic of my arm straight. It still really hurts but not the same burning pain and its quite ugly and
yaaaa..... It's mighty hard passing by the aisles with the food that is bad for you but that tastes OH-SO-GOOD!!!
Your burn definitely looks a lot better but it still looks like it would be painful. It's no where near being healed underneath that top layer of skin so you still have a good amount of time before it will feel back to normal I'm afraid. The part where it was burned the deepest obviously is the part that looks the worst. I'm sure it's really very uncomfortable PLUS just having on bandages is annoying! I'm sure the derm would like to take a look at it when you go for your appt.
