The left side of my face has shown dramatic improvement but the right side of my face is a disaster. I have a new camera my parents bought me for Christmas and I havent told them this but this camera sucks! The pictures always turn out horribly so Im not gonna bother to post anymore pics. I might have to tell them and go by myself a new camera
Im so mad about my skin. I just posted another pic in my gallery. Hopefully, it will be on the site in a couple of days. Oh and people please comment. I havent gotten one comment from anyone
I saw your most recent pic (its not approved yet, but mods can see it) - it looks like you are making some progress - your skin definitely looks less red and the spots on your chin and around your mouth seem like they are drying up. Have the new breakouts at least slowed down? If so, that is a good sign. If the regimen is working for you, you should gradually see fewer and fewer new spots as time goes by (no regimen will keep you from getting no new acne during the first few months, just give it a little more time).

Now Molly you know if you want me to post, you have to entice me by talking about food! 😛 haha Of course Im just kidding, but my recent posts for Jenstar were definitely making me hungry when I was referring to honey masks!
That got me thinking though I know you cant use the mandelic because of the stuff youre on now, but could you add any masks as something to help speed along your skin clearing or at least for some of the nice calming qualities? I dont know what youve tried because you have sensitive skin, but I know people use masks along with their particular routines so I thought Id ask.
Even though its frustrating for you, Willow is right. If your current products are working for you, you will continue to see more improvement with not as many backslides. Your derm appointment is in the beginning of March, so thats only a few weeks away. By that time, you will be able to see if these products are working. It will be interesting to see what he says about it as well.
Ok Im off to eat! Ill check out your pics when theyre posted. BTW, what is the procedure for posting pictures that youre waiting for them to be approved? Ciao!

I breakout everyday still and it takes forever for my pimples to go away

lol my mom made this delicious meatloaf and potatoes with this excellent gravy she put on both. She brought it to me when my dad and her picked me up from work.
Ive used the aspirin make a couple of times. Its okay. I didnt notice all that much of a difference though. In fact, I tried it last night on that one papule that refuses to go away. It didnt do anything to it
I am not gonna switch products. I know I need to stop doing that if I want to see improvement in my skin and less acne. Certainly, I hope I will be more clear by the time I see my derm.
Some of my pics are posted. Only one new one needs to be approved. The others are new also but posted them earlier this month
I have this one zit near my upper lip that will go away for a few days and then it keeps regrowing the puss. Its so gross! I finally got so fed up. I took a pair of tweezers and carefully took off the first layer of skin. I had put clenia and 5.5% bp on it last night and it didnt do anything for it. That papule on my jawline Ive been writing about, it still is also there.
haha I havent had meatloaf and potatoes with gravy for a looooong time! When I babysat when I was a teen, this lady would make meatloaf ahead of time, keep it in the fridge, then I would bake it for dinner for the little ones! She made it with large cubes of bread and large hunks of onions, and I worried the kids wouldnt eat those onions! They just drenched the meatloaf and noodles in ketchup lol and ate every last bit of it!
Now for the less fun stuff¦ So the BP and Clenia seem to be working fine overall, but you have a few spots that simply REFUSE to go away! Since you have already been treating them with Clenia and BP, have you tried using a warm water and sea salt compress? Sea salt soaks are very good to help heal new piercings, and skin problems; and the warm salty water helps to clean out the spot and heal it.
Ive read in the past you could even use some tea tree oil or that liquid Dr. Bronners you have, put some on the section of washcloth you will be using to dip into warm water, then apply to your spot as youre doing the compress. Do it off and on when youre home as long as you can. Then, you could put a blob of honey on it, which is also good for skin problems. Basically, you dont wanna over irritate the skin as you try to get it to heal. I was just trying to come up with things to use in addition to the BP and Clenia which havent been working on those spots.
Let me know your thoughts!
Meatloaf and noodles with ketchup, yuck! Did you eat it with them?
I have tried sea salt compresses in the past but they didnt really help. It just made my skin more dry than it already is. I might try that tonight again and see if it works. Since I have incredibly sensitive skin, I will use a papertowel instead of a washclothe. In addition, I have from the body shop the tea tree oil stick.
I have gone back to using my prescriptives make up. Im not as crazy about the EM as I thought I was. Its very difficult for me to put it on my face. It doesnt look natural, it looks cakey, and everytime I put it on my nose, it smears off. Instead, I have this red spot on my nose and the rest of it normal peach color =/
I have a new pimple today. I think its a cyst. Its bulging out and there is no head to it. I think it must be from these chocolate covered cherries I ate. It says on the container that it might contain peanut oil. I wont be eating those again
My face is very red and irritated again tonight so I think Im gonna skip the clenia and just apply bp to the affected areas.

Sorry that your skin is irritated (and that you have a new pimple!). Hopefully a night off from the clenia will help with the redness.

I actually have four new pimples but that one is driving me insane! Yes I sure do hope a night off from clenia helps. Ill be sure and update you on my progress tomorrow
Molly, Molly, Molly haha Don't you know little kids LOVE putting ketchup on EVERYTHING???
I didn't eat it because they really didn't have a lot of money so I would just bring a sandwich with me. The mom always told me to eat anything I wanted, but I knew that whatever the cute little kiddies didn't eat, they would eat when they got back from work. They didn't even have a lot of food in the apartment at all. Plus, she couldn't always pay me for sitting because some days the tips weren't good. I really didn't care though because they were such cute little kids and the parents really needed someone to watch them when they pulled a late shift! Then when she got good tips, she would try to overpay me lol to make up for the days when she didn't pay me haha. I didn't take the overpayment though because I just knew those little kids needed it so much more than I did. But those kids LOVED ketchup!!!
Your skin is so sensitive! I always find it amazing how skin can be dry and sensitive yet still break out so annoyingly and not go away! If you do decide to do the compress and use that tea tree, you don't even NEED to use the salt, just use the warm water and be sure you also use a calming moisturizer, something you know your skin loves, to keep it happy. And be sure to just treat the actual spot and not the surrounding skin so you don't set yourself up for more irritation! I think I've always had the best results using warm water on the tip of a washcloth. For some reason my skin calms down so much with just warm water compresses at the very least.
When will your new pictures be posted? Ciao!

lol no I wasnt aware of that actually. I must not know very many kids.
That is so sweet of you to take care of those kids even when you were not paid.
Yes, my skin is incredibly sensitive. I have to be careful about every single thing I use on my face. In fact, this basis bar for sensitive skin I believe is drying out my skin. I will continue to use it though at least for another month. I am almost out of this bar and I have another one I am gonna start using when this one is finished. Yes I might use a warm compress but with paper towels only! I dont want to risk using a washclothe because Ive done that before and it broke me out.
LOL my pics were posted a long time ago and I keep trying to tell you that...
Last night I applied the honey mask mixed with honey to my chin. I washed it off after ten minutes and it helped me tremendously! A lot of my zits dried up and now are just peeling
I also had a dinner I really enjoyed, fishsticks with ketchup and green beans with a vinagrette dressing

Did you use only honey, or did you mix it with anything? (I was wondering if you meant an aspirin mask mixed with honey?)

What I did was I placed three aspirin in a bowl, measured a little bit of water in a teaspoon, sprinkled it over the aspirin, waited for it to disinigrate, then I added a little bit of honey, mixed it together, and put that on my chin pimples

Hey wait... I love putting ketchup on everything... D:
Maybe Someday~ Haha - I must confess... I'm a ketchup gal myself!
Molly~ lol I went through your old posts to find the link to your photos. I can see how frustrating it is for you because it seems as one spot clears up, another one begins. So, look at the picture you took right before you began this new regimen. Then look at your face today. Overall, do you see a reduction in the problem area, and does it appear that it is looking less angry? Judging by the pictures, the most recent one, I would have to say it looks like there is an improvement. I know changes don't happen overnight though. Also, someone on the gallery asked if it might be hormonal. What are your thoughts on that?
I love the sound of your mask. Since your skin is sensitive, be careful of how many times you use the aspirin with it, but even the honey alone will help with irritation as it soothes the skin. Doesn't your skin feel so soft and smooth when you wash it off? It's generally very calming.
Last up... you know I couldn't leave your log without commenting on your dinner! Fishsticks with ketchup - yesssss! I gotta tell you, green beans have to be one of my most favorite vegies! You could fix them anyway and I'd love them!
Ciao!

I love ketchup too! I cannot eat fishsticks without ketchup. I dont realliy like the taste of fish so I must have the ketchup on it. I also cannot eat omlettes or eggs without ketchup
I think the left side of my face looks a lot better. My right side, no I dont really see an improvement. It still looks red and angry to me. Thats why I have been covering it up with make up. My adult acne is definitely hormonal. It wasnt so much when I was a teenager when I had severe acne all over my face. Now my acne is only on my chin, jawline, and blackheads and large pores on my nose. My forehead is I would say 99% clear. My hormones have been really out of wack! I dont take spiro anymore but its been ever since then which was three months ago. I havent had my period yet and I always get my period every twenty eight days. My last period cycle was I think 36 days!
I am gonna eat the same exact thing for dinner. I eat almost the same foods everyday. I always have a chicken salad sandwhich with cranberries, celery and walnuts and for dinner I always have a trader joes pizza with bellpeppers, kalamate olives, and feta cheese or I have fishsticks and green beans or I have bruschetta.
OMG Molly - If they found out that ketchup was the direct cause of acne.... I would have to risk a few spots just to use some!!! Ya I don't think fishsticks would be good without ketchup either. As for the green beans though, tonight I HAD to have green beans because of reading your post earlier! My husband laughed because he knows how much I love them and when I mentioned I read your post with the word 'green beans' in it, he said Ut oh... I think someone's going to have to eat green beans tonight! hahaha
Like you too, I get in moods where I can eat the same thing for a week straight every night for dinner or every day for lunch! I get in a mood for something and just want to have it until I grow tired of it. Ketchup on eggs... I don't care for it... but my daughter loves having salsa with her omelets that she makes using eggbeaters, peppers, onions, and cheddar. So I think the ketchup is kind of like salsa because she's a big ketchup lover as well! And your chicken sandwich sounds heavenly with the cranberries, celery and walnuts - YUM! I'm certainly glad I'm finished with my dinner or I would be very hungry after reading your post tonight lol
OK back to skin lol... so it sounds to me like that Spiro has you off a little bit with your cycle and I just bet that is the real problem with your skin. Did you read how long it takes before you go back to your normal 28 days? Then I bet your skin will really begin to improve because you're already seeing improvements now. And your right side is worse than your left. Do you mostly sleep on your right side? Even though I know you change your pillow cases often, just the pressure most of the night on that one side might add to, not cause, but add to the reason why that side is mostly breaking out.
You could use your honey mask for your whole face or just affected area, even without the aspirin added, then after you apply your moisturizer and Clenia, whatever your routine is for the night, the very last thing you can dab on a bit of tea tree on each spot. I have some tea tree oil and I think I'm beginning to notice my spots will go down faster using it. I have tried so many things to spot treat, but only recently have I started using a little brush and dabbing the TTO on each spot. I don't have a lot of breaking out at any given time, so it's hard for me to thoroughly judge, but so far when I've felt something or seen something come up, at night I dabbed on the tea tree over anything I've used that night. I can honestly say the next morning each spot appeared smaller, less red, and not as aggressive in growing as I thought it would turn out to be. You already have your BP and Clenia, so that could be something in addition you could try on a spot or two.
UGH.... acne IS a battle!

LOL Did you tell your daughter I made you crave green beans too 😆 How many children do you have by the way?
OMG do not talk about omlettes and what your daughter put in them! I love omlettes! I love them with bacon, cheese, bellpeppers, other stuff that I cannot think of from the top of my head right now, and of course the ketchup lol OMG if you love ketchup, you certainly have to get used to the idea of putting ketchup on your eggs 😉
No, I havent read about how long it takes for me to go back to my normal 28 days. I wish I never started that medication in the first place. I shouldve known. Spiro isnt as affective if once is on antidepressants the way I am. That isnt the real problem though. Ive been breaking out every single day for over a year now. I break out even when Im not on my period.
I dont think I mostly sleep on my right side more than the left. Lately, Ive been a tosser and turning 🙁 I have insomnia. I either cannot sleep because I have too much on my mind or I simply cannot sleep because my joints hurt.
What brand of tea tree oil do you use? I dont have any at the moment except for my body shop tea tree oil blemish stick. I decided to dab honey on a couple of my pimples and I will leave it on over night.
