Nessa that looks super cute!!
I just got the Philosophy Great Skin is in for normal/combo skin kit at sephora (small size, I couldn't bring myself to spend $65 on the big size). here's a little review:
purity cleanser: very nice. I'm only using a tinyy amount (penny sized) because the bottle is so small but it gets the job done (granted I don't wear anything but concealer). It makes my face feel smooth and silky.
help me retinol: great product. I've only used it for a few days (nights only) and it has definitely reduced my forehead whiteheads and brought down a big mouth zit. however I have a big zit forming on my chin that hasn't been affected by it. I have been using it every night for a couple days in a row with no irriation though.
hope in a jar moisturizer: not sure about this one. It's a nice formula but I think it's making me break out...I used it on my whole face only 2 or 3 times and yesterday I popped this weird pus-filled whitehead thing on my cheekbone, which is someplace I never get ANY acne. I'm going to test it by putting it just on one area of my cheekbone and seeing if I continue to get more clogged pores. In addition unless you have dry skin I don't think this is a good daytime moisturizer, I used it during the day once and I was really oily all over my face, which never happens if I don't use moisturizer. like even on my jaw I was shiny. they make an oil free version, wish I got that one...
Thanks to Bek's recommendation of taaz.com I've been playing around with my hair for hours! lolI will be coloring my hair at the end of next month or right at the beginning of May and I would like some opinions! I know that's far away but I'm a very cautious person and I want time to think it over. Which of these do you like the best and why? Ie. it looks good on my skin or is it a personal preference?
Some helpful background info: I am wearing colored contacts in that picture but they are my own, not from the site. My natural eyes are a dark hazel but most of the time look a medium brown.
My boyfriend was looking with me. He says brown red. I agree. 🙂

I like the Philosophy On A Clear Day Retinol. It's really nice.
@nessa - the red is such a nice color on you. it really brings out your eyes and skin tone! haha i think we're all in agreement about your hair.
i'm posting a purplish smokey eye i do a lot .. i don't know how to take pics when my eye is looking directly at the camera without it covering up the makeup. i know it's partly bc i have small eyelids. i basically used the 88 warm coastal scents palette. have had this palette for a while, and i think the pigmentation is alright .. not amazing, but there are some nice colors in there. oh, and i'm using the cs maybelline lipstick in pink me up if anyone is wondering. lol -- that's my favorite lipstick ever. if i could find another lipstick with the same color, but better staying power i'd be a happy camper.
haha i've never posted a pic on a thread b4 .. don't know if it'll work.
Thanks ladies! lol That's the color closest to my natural but it's richer I guess. I was hoping I would get red but at the end of the day, it needs to suit me!

I've tried that too (I tried the mini On A Clear Day set) and I swear this stuff is more effective and maybe even more gentle. If you like the OACD retinol you should definitely try this.
lol...you can tell I go to sephora wayyy too much...
@nessa - you know what? i looked over your choices of hair color again and i think you could get away with any one of those. seriously! they all look good .. but i really think that .. if you're gonna also cut your hair, the last pic you posted really frames your face well. the bangs are soo cute. props to you for wanting to try something different =D and thank you for the compliment i think it is hard to blend shadows sometimes, but when you have a good brush it can do all the work for you.
woop woop, thanks!I'm really liking the red. I've done some other pictures with that red or something close and it's daring and different. I agree though, the brown red one looks like it could be the most natural on me. Decisions, decisions....
So do you like this color, too, then? I showed this to a good friend and my mom among a bunch of others and they both favored it
No problem.
I am sure you could pull off the red too! It's just not my faaaaavorite haha 😉
Brown red looks like it could be the most natural ....-ly gorgeous. I am having my
boyfriend's mom do my hair color... dun dun dun! Interesting. In their culture it's
not too common... to do "bonding" stuff like that. Kinda scurred. But she does hers
and her mom's all the time so it's worth a shot right? I offered a facial for a trade lol.
Yeah I think that color is pretty too!

Ummmm whaaaaaa?
For some reason this is sooo not what I expected you to look like!
Haha I guess your avatar looks more tomboyish to me. You look killer,
the makeup is great! If only I could pull that off 😉
Went to Sephora today with my man and lusted over the new Josie Maran display. Want the cleansing oil and acne argan pads. BAD!

I know I am probably the only one, but I like the blonde on you! You are stunning!
Last but not least! What do you guys think of this color? I think the permanent color I ordered will be some variation on this... loved it when I had it.
love the red .. it's a really nice color.
lol -- in my avi i was dressing down, but i do normally dress girly. i have some personality traits that some would consider masculine, but i think that just proves we're not all one dimensional. i love certain sports, so that's why i was sporting my hat. thank you for saying i look killer in those pics.. i don't know about that, but thank you : ) i'm sure you could pull off something similar. i think any woman can pull off a makeup look as long as she takes into account her eye shape, and coloring = )

Hey thanks, Ariana 🙂
Someone else liked the blonde too - kind of getting "votes" all over the place, which makes it really difficult to decide haha
Haha maybe I shall! 🙂 Gotta remember what I did first lol!So I got the Couture Color set in the mail... you get what you pay for.
The box is really nice and it comes wrapped up in a shiny
bronze bag. Sooo cute. Comes with brush & some oil too.
That sounds fancy! 😆
Did you try it out yet?! If not, hope it goes smoothly, good luck!
Hello, my lovely ladies! I come to you today with a little problem.
For a while now I've been dying my hair rather auburn, but I decided I wanted to stop dying my hair.
My natural hair is now about an inch grown out, and I want to try to blend to the colors so that it's not so obvious that I'm growing my dyed hair out. What do you think would work?
I thought maybe start dying my hair with semi-permanent dye until the permanently dyed stuff grows out. Ahhh! I just don't know what to do.
Any input would be nice.
what is your natural hair color acneslayer?
I would imagine the simplest and fastest thing to do would be to re-dye the auburn part the same shade as your natural hair color (or as close to it as you can get). that way you don't have to deal with the yucky growing out bit and the color difference.
I'm no hair dye expert though, this is just my 2 cents

I'd say get it stripped, but that's just me. My sis dyed hers black and tried making it brown when her hair started growing back but it turned out like 3 different colors. When you go to a salon they'll strip it and tint it for you at the color you want.
