HAHA! thanks for telling us we all gonna get bald!
Why dont you try rogain? it actually works. better than being bald I guess

Hey sorry for the REALLY late reply. Yes, I'm using Rogaine. I started last month actually but have been somewhat inconsistent with vacation, school and everything else really. Have I benefitted from Rogaine and seen any results? No. Will I start to see some soon? Hard to determine but if I keep at it for a few more months then maybe?? My hair is fine/thin to begin with so losing myhair like this is an issue. I imagine that ALL of us are losing our hair in cycles, otherwise, we'd be bald by now. What this means is that we're somehow still getting some regrowth but it's slow, and our hair follicles are weakened which is why there's so much falling it. I've looked up other forums and a lot of people are having the same issue with temples receding.

1 months and 20 days on minoxidil! lots of shedding but I'm not super worried. I accepted the only solution to this problem, is minoxidil. @chicaneryhows monoxidil working for u?

It's been almost 7 months since March 23, the day I stopped taking accutane. Just an update on how things are going! All of those smaller 1-2 cm hairs that I was constantly shedding have stopped falling out now. I've been doing my best to keep up with the minoxidil foam routine which is twice daily. I can say for sure that it does work wonders if you put in the effort not to neglect. I'm starting to see some smaller hairs grow out of the temples. However, I've read online somewhere that if a patch of hair were to really grow, it would need to feel like a peach fuzz. My temples don't feel that way. At this point, I'm just trying to maximize the amount of thickness I can get on top and I've seen much improvement since the beginning of the year when I looked like a crack addict. So yeah, I've kinda given up on my temples and become realistic. To make matters worse, my dermatologist closed her clinic down... (she was lazy afanyways). How are you peeps doin?

Been on minoxidil since July. Although I haven't seen too much shedding of 1-2 cm hairs, that doesn't mean I'm not still shedding lol. Now I'm just shedding longer hairs but my hair texture feels softer and it's coming back to the way it was last year before I started accutane. I've been trying to eat healthier, go to the gym, and reduce stress to reduce my shedding. Moreover, I'm drinking green tea which is said to reduce hair loss. I'm going to try investing in Nizoral shampoo as well as argan oil as I've heard those do wonders. All the best to you guys!

Try using Nizoral shampoo. I've recently just gotten my hands on it and I'm surprised as to how affordable it is in comparison to minoxidil. On top of this, it doesn't require the same amount of dedication to using it. Applying minoxidil twice daily and committing to it can be tiresome. I don't see any effects as I've only started but lots of people are saying many positive things about their results.

Monoxidil is a game changer, when I run my hand throw my hair only 4-6 hair pulls out comparing to 10 - 20. and a little bit once a day.

Unfortunately, my appointment was rescheduled due to my dermatologist being sick. Literally the best timing possible (if you catch my sarcasm). But some good news is that I'm shedding a lot less now. I've beenlimiting myself to minoxidil foam once a night every night (because I'm too lazy to do it in the morning) and have been using Nizoral shampoo since October 22. I've been applying the shampoo once on the following days typically during the morning: Monday, Thursday, Sunday. The reason why I don't use it every day is because like with any other shampoo, you're stripping all the essential hair oils and thus drying you're hair out too much. In the shower, I apply it and let it sit for 5 min while I do whatever else I need to do. I then rinse with cold water... like REALLY COLD water. I'm still sticking to all of my other daily activities as I've mentioned earlier and all in all, I gotta say that the results are much better! I can still see my scalp in some angles, but I've been shedding a lot less. Whenever I used to towel dry my longer hair, I'd see 10+ strands on the towel. Now I only see 1-2 strands on the towel and 5 strands when I shower. My hair growth has been kind of slow but I can feel it getting thicker. My temples however are still not recovering though. I'll keep you all posted soon!

Just found this article posted by someone who has recovered from accutane hair loss and has thick hair again:  https://healdove.com/disease-illness/accutanehairloss

I've bought the peppermint oil that they've mentioned and will commit to using it for 6 months. Surely if they've had success with that exact product, there is hope for the rest of us?

i've read other good things about peppermint oil and how it increases the rate of hair growth as well as decreasing shedding - praying it helps me! I'll keep updating :)

How is your hair loss? Has the peppermint oil helped at all?

Update: I just went to the dermatologist on Jan 2 and she told me the exact same thing: It could be caused by genetics. I explained to her what happened and it seemed as if she had no idea of how accutaneeven works. So I guess that was a few months of waiting wasted. Anyways, she suggested Iget these biotin gummies from costco as well as some special sort of shampoo from the pharmacy so theres nothing too major. But, Ill let you all know how that goes in 2 ish weeks!

Heres a tip for some of you:

Get a shorter hair style. The thinning wont be as noticeable and your hair will be more manageable. Also, itll get rid of any bad looking split ends.

Im not sure whatelse to say to you guys. 2018 has really sucked confidence wise, but this stab in the back has allowed me to take steps I never thought Id take to be healthier just for the sake of my hair and it helped in more ways than one.

So heres to a new year of trying new things. We havent lost all our hair yet and were still going strong in 2019 LMAOO
