Hi, so i've been on accutane for nearly 2 weeks now (40mg) and have already experienced an initial outbreak..I had dozens of whiteheads under my mouth/chin but they are clearing up. My derm wants me to up my dosage to 60mg after week 4, my question is will I experience another outbreak when it increases?
I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but at least when my dermatologist switched my dosage from 40 mg to 80 mg, I experienced another pretty bad breakout. Accutane effects people differently though so there is no guarantee you will have another breakout but it is definitely possible and somewhat likely.
