I had a Dermatologist tell me using Tazorac would reduce the oil production on my skin. Researching online I could not find anything to back up this claim. Has anyone used Tazorac or any other retinoid and noticed a decrease in oil production?

Thanks!

I use Differin and it definitely decreases oil proudction for me. When I'm not on anything for my acne my face is like an oil slick.

At the moment, I think the retinoid is increasing my oil production,

I usually have mild oiliness, but since starting the retinoid.. slime city if I don't use an oil control moisturizer

no, they INCREASE oil production. They also give the skin a "shine" that makes it look more greasy. One reason y i hate retinoids
