Hey all,

So I went on Accutane 1 month ago, improvement is major already. Side effects so far are just general dryness, nothing too bad. But.. one thing above all bothers me a ton. My libido seems to be completely gone

From multiple random boners and morning woods throughout the day to 0. I can still get it up if want to, although its not in its full glory, and all sexual activity is just "meh". This doesn't bother me too much since I'm single, in a way it's a relief lol.

I'm on 40mg at the moment, and I'm about 80kg (176 lbs). So the dosage is not overwhelmingly big yet. I've read similar things about people losing libido during Accutane, so i suppose it's (somewhat) normal. As a gym fellow i can't but stress a crap ton if the loss of libido is due to my precious T levels dropping. I'm not sure how much testosterone plays part in libido or is it all DHT related, but it surely has some kind of effect. I want to keep and get more gains just as much as I want to get rid of acne, so low testosterone wouldn't be appealing thought at all.

Has anyone (guys especially) had similar problems? Did you go check your T levels? Should I just talk about this with my derm on my checkup?

Oh yes! Zinc kinda fixes it. I did 30mg/day for 2 months long before Accutane, didn't really affect my skin but libido a lot, and workouts seemed more "animal like" and vigorous lol . I did a small scale test, took some zinc, next day my libido was definitely higher (or its placebo, but i doubt it). Would it hurt to take some zinc (30mg/day)? Or should i just ask my derm?
