Hi im in uk and started my course of roaccutane, when I first got my prescription the pharmacy gave me the proper roche roaccutane which worked pretty well, but when I went back for some more roaccutane I was given a generic being isotretinoin by ranbaxy which I beleive in the us is called sotret?. Now my question is the sotret any good? Compared to the brand name. Because when I went on to the generic I noticed straight away it wasnt working as well, for instance my lips which were dry on roaccutane started to become normal and I started to get a couple of spots? I rang up the hospital and told the pharmacist that this generic they had given me didnt seem to be working and wanted the proper brand that I was given before eventually after speaking to my dermatologist they agreed to prescribe me the proper roaccutane again and told me to throw the ranbaxy rubbish in the bin lol, ive read that ranbaxy has had their isotretinoin temporarily banned in the us a few times due to substandard manufacturing standards so that makes me beleive that their products arent as effective as the branded products, my doctor said that generics should be exactly the same and should work the same as they supposed to have the same active ingredient but for me it didnt hardly work at all? Maybe due to different inactive ingredients? Whats your guys thoughts on ranbaxy isotretinoin? Was it effective? Also one last thing the way them sotret capsules are packaged is stupid really difficult to get them out...

Just a little update when I recently saw my derm she told me that after me telling her that the sotret didnt work on me she started to ask her other patients if the sotret they was dispensed was working and three other patients of hers have said it wasnt working also and so they have been switched to the proper roaccutane brand so its interesting to hear that other people havent responded to sotret either and that in my opinion its rubbish lol, what do u people think about sotret did it work for u???
