I just thought that I would post a warning about this extremely annoying side effect I've contracted from accutane.
I have this constant "visual snow" that is extremely annoying. It's like somebody has added a static filter to my vision and I experience it the entire time I'm awake. More annoying are dozens of eye floaters that constantly swirl around my vision 24/7. They are completely unavoidable and utterly annoying. Just as I am looking at this computer screen, there are dozens of strings and dots that float across my vision. When I look to the right, they all swoosh to the right, and same to the left.
It sounds benign, but imagine knowing you will have this problem every single day for the rest of your life.
Floaters appear after part of the gel in the back of your eye break off due to inflammation, and stay suspended in your eye forever.
I think taking accutane was the single worst decision I've made. The funny part is that I didn't even take it very long, and had to stop because of other side effects. So now, I still have acne and I've been blessed vision problems for the remainder of my life. Every day I wish I could go back in time and not take it.
Hey thanks for sharing your knowledge about accutane . People need to understand that even when it's rare there are plenty problems caused by accutane in many people. The problem is that most docs won't believe that the problems are caused by accutane, so we're alone with this problem for most cases

My dermatologist doesn't believe me, either. Very frustrating.
Yeah:/ I hope for us both that our body will heal our problems with time and we can live our normal lives again. I mean fuck a health care system that damages you more than it helps us in that case and than leave you alone with your problems. We re just a candidate for them.
dude i think i have this aswell.... i feel so spaced out all day every day for the past 4 weeks... my vision is so blurry and staticy, and tunnel visioned.. i did a 12 month course on 20mg/day last year, now im on another 20mg/day course since 2 months ago.. what do i do man im really scared! should i stop taking it? will my vision get better
