Hi all
Kim here
Almost day #60 on tane and Im currently on 60mg
(first 2 weeks 20mg..moved to 40mg for about 5 weeks and now about a week on 60mg)
Im still breaking out
Because my stupid acne was mild but persistant I wanted to believe I might be clear by this point
I broke out about a week after starting 40mg..so I think this breakout might be related to recently bumping to 60mg
I know everyone reacts so differently..but thougt it might be a good post for those on tane currently and trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel
I also switched moisturizers about 2 weeks ago because what i was using was not rich enough
My skin actually isnt peeling (just my chin a smidge) but my skin was TIGHT
Felt like the tin man
so now im worrying that my current moisturizer has something to do with it
any info greatly appreciated

Hi - I actually continued to breakout (albeit significantly less severely and often) about 1 month after my accutane course ended. At day 60 I was definitely still breaking out - I didn't start seeing a serious reduction in the severity and number of breakouts until after day 100-120. I would say expect to see more improvement towards the end of your 3rd month and in your fourth month.
Instead of using a richer lotion (which might be comodgenic), try layering a non-comedgenic moisturizing serum under your non-comedgenic moisturizwer. That really helped me. I used Cerave PM at night layered over 100% argan oil that I used as a serum (make sure it's good 100% argan oil, I used Jose Maran). In the day, again, I applied a couple of drops of argan oil right after washing my face while it was still damp, and I layered on my day moisturizer. My skin was still definitely dry, but it did help that uncomfortable tight feeling you're talking about.
