Accutane And Menstrual Cycle

Hey ladies,

I've been on accutane for a little under two weeks now. I am two days late on my period and today I spotted. I was just curious if anyone else experienced an abnormality in their period? I am not having sex nor am I on birth control so this is a little odd for me to experience this. I was on accutane in the past and never experienced an abnormal cycle as I was also on birth control. Any responses would be appreciated!

I am on birth control, and I have noticed a definite difference in my cycle since I started accutane. For the last 2 months I have spotted for about 2 days in the middle of my cycle, and then it just stops. Very odd. I am going to ask the Derm about this next time I am there.

It does state in the rx information it can cause abnormal menses! Also, as for side effects doesn't matter if it's your first course or 2nd or third can still get them. I would speak to your physician and maybe your acne is hormonal????

I took a blood test to see if it is caused by hormones, but never said anything when the results came back last month so I just assumed that it wasn't an issue.
