Hey. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience in increasing their accutane dose from 40mg to 60mg. Im going to try self-upping the dose due to my derm being super conservative (yielding minimal results).

So can anyone who has experienced this dose change let me know if there were any changes in side effects, changes in blood work and most importantly any RESULTS.

cheers

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take accutane any way other than as directed by your dermatologist.

This is not an over night cure. Accutane is a very serious drug with very serious risks. It can destroy your liver, cause your hair to fall out, cause depression, dry skin, eye trouble, etc.

Do not change your dose unless your doctor tells you to. Besides, when you run out your doctor will probably stop prescribing you accutane at all and you will get no results. You'll also run out quicker than the 30 day supply your deem thinks you have.

Be patient. Wait until your next appointment and ask your deem about increasing your dose.
