I have a bit of acne on my face, so i started using treatment. I use Epiduo at night before i go to bed, when i wake up i take shower and use Cetaphil. Some of my acne has gone away in some areas but others I am getting more! Is this normal?!? I don't know if it just takes a while or if i should switch treatments. I don't want it to get a lot worse, it also burns when i put them on, idk is that is normal or not. Please I need advice!
Unfortunately Epiduo often seems to come with an initial breakout but personally it's been working really well for me since the second month kind of mark so I think persistence is the key. How long have you been using it? The burning may be your skin getting accustomed to it or you may be using too much. With Epiduo less is always more so don't use more than the pea-sized amount and always make sure to moisturise. Cetaphil's a great moisturiser to use alongside it and is the one I use as well so hopefully your skin will settle down a bit soon.
I've only been using it for about a week, the burning is getting a bit better. I also have a question about Cetaphil, i'm not sure im if using it right. I usually take a shower, then after i wash my face i rub it into my face, then wash it off. Is that right?
Oh sorry I thought you meant the moisturiser! Yeh I just use Cetaphil cleanser like I'd use any other cleanser, ie. wet face, gently rub it all over, rinse face, pat dry with a towel. Are you using a moisturiser alongside the Epiduo? If not, you really should because it will help massively with alleviating the burning. Just if you're using it at night make sure you give the Epiduo about half an hour to sink in first.
Ya, I don't have a moisturizer right now, I'll get one soon. Last night when I put on epiduo it burned more than the previous night, idk why, but it wouldn't go away so i actually had to try to clean it off. It hurt a lot. Also, Is there a way to stop the flakiness and dryness of my skin?

Literally, you have to use a moisturiser with Epiduo otherwise your skin will just burn and flake like you're experiencing now. I recommend Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion and if you're still having dry skin problems after that you can also add a few drops of jojoba oil to it. The longer you use Epiduo with no moisturiser, the worse the burning and dry skin will get.
Ok I'll try that, thanks a bunch!
