So i am a 16 year old male with moderate acne. my derm started me out on 30 mg for the first month, and I am now on 40 mg for the past 2 weeks, and I haven't noticed any difference in my acne at all. Will it start to work?

So you're 1 month and two weeks in?

I wish I knew... I've been taking 80mg a month and skin still looks the same.

Yeah I'm 1 month and 2 weeks. How Long have you been on 80 and how severe is your acne?

The thing is that many dermatologists are afraid of Accutane...

And that happened to me.

I had really severe acne, face, chest and back. He put me on 40mg/day for 6 months. My body was all white and clean but after 5 months and even now I am breaking out...

Of course not as bad as it was before acne..

So I contacted recently a different dermatologist. She said that the dosage that he gave me for me acne history and my weight was VERY LOW, even lower than the minimum requred for my ace. I should had taken 80mg/day she said....

I am hoping to repeat Accutane, this time with the appropriate dosage, on Sept,
