Did anyone else experience dehydration on accutane? I've been drinking a ton of water all day and I still feel so thirsty and exhausted. I'm only on day 7.

 

What's your dose? Just as a caution Accutane can alter sugar levels and it has been known to cause type 1 diabetes in some. If it continues I would call your derm and make sure sugar levels are included in your monthy labs.....However, Accutane does dry out more then just the skin, so it is possible to be dehydrated inside and out! I've been started at 80 mg a day. I'm 17, 5'7 and 155 pounds. I'm gonna call him tomorrow to ask about dosage and tell him whats been going on. It's not too bad I'm just surprised to be feeling these side effects so early. My face was peeling on day 3 and now it's just dry, my lips aren't too dry but feel better with Chapstick.

Really hoping I'm just sick and it's not the accutane. I don't know if I could take 5 months of this.

Well, I think 80mg is quite a bit, you probably have dose lowered and if things continue quit. Accutane not for everyone and it not a permanent cure.

Yea I'm just waiting things out for a bit because I now have a slight cough and both my girlfriend and my mom are sick.

I'm on 10mg and I feel more dehydrated than usual when I work out and when I wake up in the morning

Not too sure if this is bc the medication or the dry weather but not too bad for me.
