Hey,

Just to throw another theory into the mix lol has anybody considered candida overgrowth possibly being the cause for many of our symptoms post accutane. Accutane def has adverse effects on the GI tract...

anyways heres a site and a lot of the symptoms are similar to what I and many of you suffer from...

[Edited link out]

It's interesting you say that. A guy on the propeciahelp website cured his sexual dysfunction with nystatin (an anti-fungal pill) and a bunch of other things that would treat candida.

First of all, i want to appologize if i said something wrong. I never said i'm ignored here, but......... hmmm.......although Propecia or other meds have many common side effects with Accutane, we should realise its not the same drug. I know some people who took Propecia and got E.D., but within some months/few years, their sexual function got on the right track. On the other side, i never heard of people who got E.D. from Accutane, to reverse the damage. But maybe i'm wrong...

Someone suggested me here to try TOPICAL SOLUTIONS, to reverse the hair loss? Minoxidil doesnt seem to work. What's the other option?

Thanks guys, really appreciate your efforts.

Practically if Accutane induces Telogen Effluvium, there is nothing much that can be done except to wait for the effects to wear off.

Not what you want anybody wants to hear, but it's the truth!

Yah practically now i am just waiting for the accutane to get out of my body. Gives me severe hair thinning and IBS, really regret to go on accutane for just mild persistent case of acne. Honestly, ever since i started listening to buddhist teachings it helps alot to make you understand a bit better not to be so persistent in achieving good skin or good hair. Hopefully more people can understand. To be persistent is acheiving perfection is actually creating pain.

Another question: does anybody experience muscle twitching? (Bizarre, I know!) Or is this something totally unrelated.

I feel like Accutane seriously f***d my mind up and is messing with my psychosomatic health. Meaning I am producing physical symptoms without an underlying cause (such as tinnitus, visual snow and this twitching), because my mind is such a depressed/anxious mess. Do you guys know what I mean?

Have had a break from this forum for almost half a year. Reading through many of the new posts to see how things are going for people. The twitching was one of my most scaring sideeffects. Definitaley accutane related.

Accutane depletes your body of alott of things AND destroys your stomach so you will stay low on things. What fixed my twitching was big dose oral methylcobalamin supplementation. I took about 10 times daily recomended for two months. It tottaly cured the twitching i was experiencing everyday, and especially night. Unforunately it did not cure the rest of my sideeffects...

Does anyone who took Accutane, and experienced hair thinning and hair loss, found something to cure the hair loss?

I took some gingko biloba (3 - 4 pills per day) and i saw some hair growth....just few new hairs, but it certainly did it. Has anyone tried it too???

I heard MSM + Biotin can make your hair thicker. Some people said it works for them, also speeds up the hair grow. But i dont know if it works for accutane sufferers. Has anyone tried this???

Could it be that Accutane increased the candida in our bodies, so it leaded to hair loss and sexual dysfunction?

How to test yourself at home if u have candida :

First thing in the morning, before you put ANYTHING in your mouth, get a clear glass and fill with water. Work up a bit of saliva, then spit it into the glass of water. Check the water after a moment or within 2-3 minutes, then within every 15 minutes.

If you have a candida yeast infection, you will see strings, like cloudy legs, traveling down into the water from the saliva floating on the top, or "cloudy" saliva will sink to the bottom of the glass, or cloudy specks will seem to be suspended in the water. If there are no strings, the water is as clear as it was before you spit in the glass and the saliva is still floating after at least one hour, you are probably candida yeast free.

I'm also thinking that maybe, the hair can't benefit from required vitamins and minerals as our body can't process them anymore. Its there any way to inject a dose of multivitamins and minerals solution into the scalp??

WAITING FOR SOME ANSWERS GUYS! [Edited image out]( Let's keep experiementing, doing research, etc etc etc. Waiting and waiting wont solve this. Doctors all say "wait few months,,,,then years,,,,etc etc....the accutane symptoms willl dissapear".........they just say it to you instead of "get lost, i have no idea what to do about this".

DONT GIVE UP!!!

So out of curiosity, has anyone looked/ experimented with the vitamin a deficiency notion?? Sometimes I feel better when I eat vitamin A rich foods, but I'm too frightened to ingest them too frequently.....There are somes schools of thought that the high dose of vitamin a derivative damage the body's ability to absorb vitamin A. Anyone have any info on this or personal experience??!

Guys,

I think our bodies ability to heal comes down to the severity of cell damage - if hair is falling out and not regrowing its the messages in our cells that are dividing rapidly enough to produce hair..we need something that allows the cell division to increase again. I know my skins cells have shriveled up as my skin has deteriorated so rapidly since coming off so incredibly, colour, tone, texture all damaged and nothing I have tried ( and Ive tried so many things) has made one iota of difference.

Over the last two years my side effects have worsened in severity to the point were I now realize that this has been progressive and is looking to be permanent - I dont think our bodies can eliminate something that is deposited into tissues and organs.

I think the only way for any sort of recovery is going to be in many years as cells die off and reproduce - and that's only if my body actually has the ability to produce healthy cells again which I highly doubt..Is it possible cell memory is damaged?

The pain I feel in my face from the severity of my fried out skin never gets any better, my skin is pulling around my mouth, under my eyes, my entire face feels contorted my the lack of natural hydration. I dont know how long I can go on like this

Very interesting... I think I went through a recent heavy shed after drinking kale shakes for couple of weeks. Kale has tons of -Carotene which is considered vitamin A. Exactly what do you define as vitamin A versus vitamin A derivatives?

Accutane is a derivative of Vit A! I believe that is what she is reffering too. that Accutane damaged the body's ability to absorb Vit A. This has been discussed in this thread at some point. Though some of us have extreme issue in ingesting Vit A in certian forms or all forms. Acutally there's a suffer from back in the day named MOD from france, who was deficient and he could only handle Vit A through a I.V. other wise he got extremely ill and his side effects came back full force if not worse.

For anyone who is experiencing hair loss or itchy scalp, I have found that a solution of tea tree oil and water in a spray bottle has worked wonders on my hair. Not only does it pull out the grease, but my scalp instantly stops itching, and less hairs have been falling out in the shower. I think bacteria/candida is at work on my scalp, and the tea tree oil eats right through it, without drying the scalp out. Just a bit of advice that may help you out. I'm sure everyone reacts differently. The HA (even in pill form) has greatly eased my spine, hip, and overall joint pain. In addition, the biotin i take strengthens my nails. I also noticed when I take a large amount of probiotics, I am completely regular (although a little gassy). I also take the whole clove of garlic each day and have noticed that it helps me stay hydrated, and helps maintain my bowel movements. The HA also helps lubricate my eyes. Anyone combating the systemic dryness and joint pain, TAKE HA. Can't emphasize this enough. I'm still experimenting, but I have noticed that my diet greatly impacts how i feel. Eating wheat and high amounts of refined sugar really makes me crash. I'm beginning to think I have type 1 diabetes. The garlic each day helps me maintain my energy and not feel the constant urge to urinate or drink a gallon of water. Going to begin the MMS in the next few weeks and let you know how it goes. I'm really beginning to think that the autoimmune function is impaired and cannot kill off the bad bacteria. It's been the case for my scalp, and intestines, given that garlic has antibacterial properties without killing the good bacteria. This is all anecdotal info based on my own experimenting, so take my advice with a grain of salt...or GARLIC. HA. so funny.

Anyways, good luck to you all. Stay strong. I'm rooting for you all! [Edited image out]

Garlic is a super food it is very healthy , my dad's been eating it his whole life and he is 86 now and in great health mind you he is also a herbalist .

I usually eat crushed garlic on rye bread with olive oil with my meals , I really like the taste of garlic some people don't I sure do . I think isotretinoin messes with our

immune system no question there, about a month ago or so I got the sniffles ie runny nose the whole family was sick for weeks except for me and dad lol.. , so I made some

garlic tea , very simple to make , use three garlic gloves I have a garlic press , put them in hot steaming water let stand for around 5 minutes then drink.

My sniffles were gone in two days , no joke that stuff is awesome it is anti bacterial a natural antibiotic , also when put in hot water the taste is much milder

and easily tolerable. And yes HA works I have been telling people that for a while now it got rid of my severe back pain I had for a while and helped my dry eyes a lot.

Like I said before liquid is the best hyaluronic acid one can buy ie BAXYL . Haven't used it in a while but if my back pain joint pains return I will order more. (=

I think I just meant that Accutane is a vitamin A derivative. Sloppy writing lol Interesting about the kale. I notice i feel better when i eat spinach, and that is heavy in A. I think beta-c is not fat soluble, which is good. I understand it's not exactly vitamin A but a precursor?, so thats why people can ingest it without too many problems...mostly speaking for myself tho.

Hyaluronic Acid is naturally occurring in the body. Without pretending to know too much science, it is basically the fluid in the joints that lubricates everything. People who have taken accutane have been shown to have decrease in HA production, if not complete destruction of the body's ability to make HA. It is the only thing that has substantially effected my pain in a positive way. My joints glide instead of creaking and cracking. If they do crack, it doesn't hurt!! Also, cured my dry eyes!

HA stands for hyaluronic acid it is found naturally in the body in between joints and such , in fact the body produces it as we get older the body makes less and less of it that is a big part of why people get wrinkles as they age , isotretinoin depletes hyaluronic acid that is why many people get joint pains , back pain etc.. Hyaluronic acid is also found in the eyes , skin , and it moisturizes them in fact it lubricates the whole body , it is very good for isotretinoin victims. Go to BAXYL .com , there is lots of info there , and you can purchase it there too , it was a life saver for my back pain and dry eyes.

Okay you guys. I cracked and i took the MMS as directed. I tried to get back in touch with Nathan to ask him about the citric acid part of the process. The MMS solution is activated by citric acid, but apparently people with sjogren's are not supposed to eat highly acidic foods, and I think this is his reasoning. Does anyone have contact with Nathan who knows about this process? I used it with the citric acid since that was what was directed, and also I could not find any other recommendations supporting just ingesting it without the citric acid activator ( i thought this is what would lead to poisoning). Any help would be great. I will keep you guys updated.

I took accutane back when I was 15 or 16 standard dose. maybe 40mg? for 3 or 4 month course.Im 29 now. I can tell you that vitamin A does have a big effect still, but so do alot of other supplements. I feel im more sensitive to them. I have tried mass doses of vitamin A up to 75k a day for a couple weeks. Then took a long break. Then was taking 15k IU a day retinol palamite for awhile. I can tell you there are highs and lows. LIke parts of our body need vitamin a and parts dont. almost like its not releasing or being stored in the liver properly. For one if i didnt take vit a every day my night vision gets pretty bad and im less confident driving. When i first started the 15k vitA a day, It was shocking how much my vision improved, even without contacts. I felt more alert and focused but also like a nervous energy.now not taking vitamin a i feel out of it sometimes like in a daze or unfocused.I cant imagine i have vit a toxicity after 15 yrs. but there are some not so positive effects after taking vit A after awhile.like a unnatural social anxiety and facial flushing,(but this same flushing sometimes i feel is waking up my brain) there have been some moments while taking vit A where its like "oh yea thats how im suppose to feel". But these good feelings dont last and i find it odd that even after high dosing my night vision dosnt last either after stopping vit A.

Google dude. pretty much everything has Vitamin A in it.

Ive got to agree with Stefan - that after two years of this shit with things only deteriorating despite doing everything I can to support my body - spending more money than I earn on supplements, healthy food, doctors & specialists, naturopaths, homeopaths and a million moisturizing hair & skin products when I see people abuse their bodies with drugs & alcohol and are i perfect health.

This drug has done so much damage to my body and no doctors give a shit what fucking hope do we have?

stay sick..make drug companies prosper...they've got us right where they want us.

Were truly fucked.

Cannabis in general is actually ironically amazing stuff. Smoking marijuana has negative costs, but using a vaporizer to cut down on the smoke works wonders. It eases everything, improves blood flow, and i feel better a few days after as well.

it says you joined a week ago so i'm not sure if you saw this but a guy on page 108 named "accutaneispoison" says he cured himself using cannabis oil or "rick simpson oil." the same stuff some people claim has cured their cancer. looks very promising not sure why everyone on here is dismissing it.

look up accutaneispoinson on page 108 says he is cured. also 5 htp helps with depression and libido but it's more of a band aid than a permanent fix.

There is no long term solution here or anywhere else.

I have improved , my hair loss is reversing , my back pain is completely gone as been for a long time now , my stomach problems are gone have also been for a long time now , sure not all my symptoms are gone totally , I take lithium orotate that helps with my mood so ok I will put my hand up , indigo rush you are too negative , negativity will not get you anywhere I went through some VERY rough times with this poison no doubt but I never gave up perhaps it's my strong faith that kept me going , in fact it was . People are waking up to all the pharmaceutical poisonings thanks in part to this forum if anything we are helping others learn the truth and we should be comended for that , our problems are being heard and if one less person takes this poison then my job is done . Mark my words within less than ten years Big Pharma ( Orothodox medicine ) will become Little Pharma there scams and poisonings are coming to an end due to the internet and people like us , people are going back to OLD SCHOOL HEALING ie herbal medicine , real safe medicine , Never give up or they ( Big Pharma ) wins and you become another casualty of there insatiable greed for $$$$$$ , my two cents.
