The biofeedback I get from the practitioner says there is no brain damage
Of course he could be wrong. I guess an MRI or Brain scan might be more conclusive
Im as tired and frustrated as you, years of putting up with issues that no one can accurately identify. Theres also the strong possibility of an autoimmune issue at play ( Crohnsor something similar )
Just have to ask: has anyone here been tested for pancreatitis? There are some reports of people developing pancreatitis after accutane. And accute pancreatitis could explain long term problems. I also found out this condition can cause brain lesions. You need to test amylase and lipase for this.
Yes, have been tested for pancreatitis before
I also wouldve shown up as having Crohns when I had a colonoscopy 5 yrs ago. I dont
That doesnt mean I dont have issues that mimic these conditions though
Thats the thing that sucks about tane, you just end up with all these issues that spring up without ever being able to pinpoint things, this is too often the case
For some they do have clear cut Crohns disease, this I believe can happen
Never tested for pancreatitis by a doc but my machine indicates pancreatitis now and then. It's not something that appears with every scan, it's intermittent.
The brain scans almost always shows dicirculatory encephalopathy and neuralgia. Gut scans often indicate gut bacterial imbalance. Probably the best thing I've ever taken naturally out of the 100 or so things I've tried has been whole organic ginkgo powder that I put into capsules at home. Ginkgo is good for gut health also. It helps repair tight junctions, aka leaky gut. Ginkgo does nothing for the prostate issue. Will combine the whole ginkgo with flomax in the coming week and report back.
Rather, it is the opposite, the lack of intestinal microbiome produces brain problems. It would be a bit far-fetched to think of brain damage, but there are glands in the hypothalamus that shrink in tandem with the decrease in the sebaceous glands, according to some studies, the decrease in these glands is related to depression and barbaric moods. If I take the drug for a couple of months, maybe I could have brain damage ... if you think so.
This is one example.
Colonic mucosal microbiome differs from stool microbiome in cirrhosis and hepatic encephalopathy and is linked to cognition and inflammation
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3468538/
One important note here, it is maybe not the stool microbiome to be looking at, and any sort of fecal therapy would not be a good treatment path.
"The differences between the mucosa and stool microbiome has been shown in several disease conditions such as Crohn's disease as well as in healthy volunteers (46). Prior studies have also shown that the influence of the fecal microbes may be less than that of the mucosal microbiome on immunity and overall health (18,30).
I've tried probiotic rich foods such as kefir, kimchi, and raw saurerkraut. I've tried prebiotic rich foods such as raw and aged garlic. I've used whole organic ginkgo. Out of all of those, the whole organic ginkgo powder that I get from Amazon and encapsulate at home is by far the best. Love the way it makes my brain feel. Better than any drug or herb I've ever used.
The hope is that rapaflo rx can restore things down below. My pelvic region has always been extremely up tight post accutane. Drugs like flomax and rapaflo help to get the pelvic region, including prostate and penis, to relax. Longer and thicker penis, better sexual functioning, except that nothing comes out after orgasm, from what I've read. Will update the board after I have the Rx and have used it a while.
Along those lines, i've always said that stool testing is worthless for testing for parasites. A lack of eggs or adults in the stool does not mean they don't exist in the intestines. A strong inner terrain can clear out any parasitic infection without the use of any direct action against parasites.
Dont forget cleaning up the blood
most stuff you take will clean up the digestive track but wont necessarily clean up the blood
Ive seen my blood after 6 x Xenon gas treatments and its much better, better formed cells, less crap floating around in the blood, still some uric acid but overall much better
The next gas treatments on list are Krypton for immune system and importantly Argon gas for sexual function
All steps in the right direction for better health
This is one probiotic that should be mentioned here.
Im not sure if I have brought this up here yet. Im not sure if there is any other probiotic on the market atm that has made this claim.
This is known as the probiotic Align in the States.
Retinoic acid generation could also become a clearance pathway for retinol/retinal toxicity that some have been concerned with here.
https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2012140636A1/en
A formulation comprisingBifidobacteria infantis35624 in an amount to induce the expression of retinaldehyde dehydrogenase (RALDH) and a substrate that provides a source of retinal which is metabolised to all-trans retinoic acid by RALDH. The substrate may be retinal, retinol, retinyl acetate, retinyl palmitate, retinol acetate or retinol palmitate.
Here's another thought or concept, bacteria that fights bacteria and will compete for its displacement.
Looking at the mucus layer the question becomes whatshould be there?
Staphylococcus aureus adheres to human intestinal mucus but can be displaced by certain lactic acid bacteria
My biofeedback machine oftentimes indicates excessive amounts of e coli in my gut. I believe stress from the brain throws my gut microbiome out of whack, allowing e coli to flourish.
Doctor appointment Thursday morning. Between flomax, rapaflo, and uroxatral, I believe uroxatral to be the best. Unlike the other two, it does not cause retrograde ejaculation, and it's also cheaper than rapaflo.
I just received results from a study, it turned out with e coli and antral hyperplasia. This bacteria was screwing me up before consuming the worst mistake of my life, well at least I will start by eliminating the excess of this bacteria to be able to give rise to a brutal intestinal regeneration and I want to share my update on my intestinal pain that I wrote at the end of May, the pain is gone and when I do exercises I no longer feel it, today when I jogged the place of my liver hurt and yes, it had happened to me before the pills.
I would so love to be able to drink a bottle of kefir and solve the microbiome problem but it does me more harm than good. My body doesnt like the lactic acid, and it doesn't like the lowering of cholesterol produced by kefir. My body always prefers milk and cheese over kefir. My brain loves saturated fat and cholesterol. My brain loves whole ginkgo. I've read that ginkgo helps with lymphatic flow. With ginkgo it feels like the lymph in my belly is moving.
So far with the uroxatral it has eliminated the dysfunctional gallbladder issue, but hasn't touched the prostate issue yet. Sticking with it daily.
Whole organic ginkgo seems to be causing a foul discharge from my belly button as of late. My current theory is that accutane locked itself into the body via stopping lymphatic flow, and the daily ginkgo intake is getting the lymphatic system active again. I'm doing 3 size 000 capsules in the morning and 3 size 000 capsules in the evening. Using whole organic ginkgo powder. Will keep the board posted with it.

That makes sense if the lymphatic system is blocked, it will cause these longterm problems. Do you know how accutane can cause lymphatic blockage?
I'm actually still on the fence between brain damage vs accutane is still in the body. Maybe it's both. Accutane is an acid. It's possible that too much acid overloads the lymph system and it comes to a screetching halt. I've also noticed a disgusting smell from my nose boogers that I'm picking out, which indicates whole ginkgo is stimulating brain lymphatic drainage.
Whole ginkgo is absolutely the best thing I've ever done for my brain. It hasn't done anything for my prostate. My hope is the daily uroxatral can restore the inflamed pelvic area back to normal.
Notice I'm using whole ginkgo, not ginkgo extract, which is 95% of the ginkgo market. God got it right when he created whole ginkgo. Man got it wrong when he decided to change and manipulate ginkgo.
Pseudopropionibacterium propionicum
I am going to share a scenario herewhere there is a commercially available probiotic that is very similar to the p.acnes bacteria.
The propionibacterium genus is a very early colonizer in infants along with bifido bacteria.
Unlike most available probiotics, the propionibacterium genus is a lactate consumer, not producer.
https://microbewiki.kenyon.edu/index.php/Pseudopropionibacterium_propionicum
P. propionicum has been found to have 92.5% and 93.2% sequence homology in 16S rRNA with Propionibacterium freudenreichii and Propionibacterium acnes
What im actually looking at is p. freudenreichii.
I'll get back to some of this.
Nano-vesicles derived from bacteria of genus propionibacterium and use thereof
https://patents.google.com/patent/US20190345561A1/en
The present invention relates to vesicles derived from bacteria of the genusPropionibacteriumand a use thereof. It was experimentally confirmed that the production of vesicles derived from bacteria of the genusPropionibacteriumwas increased in the body by a high-fat diet rather than a high-carbohydrate diet; the vesicles were significantly reduced in the blood of patients with cancers, such as breast cancer and liver cancer, inflammation diseases, such as asthma and atopic dermatitis, and metabolic diseases, such as diabetes and liver cirrhosis, compared with normal persons; and the vesicles inhibited the secretion of inflammatory mediators by pathogenic vesicles, inhibited the apoptosis of keratinocytes, and increased the expression of an androgen receptor in the body. The vesicles derived from bacteria of the genusPropionibacteriumaccording to the present invention are expected to be advantageously used in a method for diagnosis or prediction of cancers, inflammatory diseases, endocrine diseases, or metabolic diseases, a pharmaceutical composition, a food, a cosmetic product, and the like.

That's the link for propi probiotic guitarman is talking about. Anyone is welcome to try it.
Ziewyr, pretty much all guys here are dealing with that whether they want to admit it or not. I'm currently using whole ginkgo and uroxatral and will post later if the issue resolves.
So how would you describe the affects of the ginkgo? "Best thing you've done for your brain health". How does it make your brain feel? 20 years now dealing with host of issues. Familiar with the forum-been here and posted years ago. Been around the block. Does it also have affects on the stiff muscles in the neck and other areas?
My Meiners has gotten particularly bad and headed back to ENT. I've been in a fog with such little mental energy and ability to deal with stress for years now (other than when I was prescribed opiates) imagine the reduction in pain related stress and dopamine was helpful.
I have circulatory issues as limbs go to sleep extremely easy and quickly. The intracranial pressure seems to affected quite a bit by it. My concern is although gingko has blood thinning properties, it has me wary. My twin brother who also was on tane 20 years ago, almost died 10 years ago from ttp (Thrombocytopenia) which is the opposite-his blood was clotting. Still scares me a bit
I would like to remind everyone who suffers from intestinal problems that Isotretinoin is associated with Dysbiosis: https://www.sciforschenonline.org/journals/clinical-cosmetic-dermatology/article-data/JCCD-2-131/JCCD-2-131.pdf
QuoteGroup 2 (treated with Isotretinoin) presents with dysbiosis: higher levels of H2 (7.3 ppm 7 versus 4.6 6.9; p<0.05) and methylacetate (5.4 2.6 versus 3.9 4.4; p<0.05) than in the control group. The difference was also significant between group 1 and group 2: 7.3 ppm 7 versus 4.3 4.7 (p<0.05) for H2 and 5.4 2.6 versus 3.9 2.4 (p<0.05) for methylacetate. Group 2 also presents more frequently with oral herpes simplex (30.4% versus 21.4%; p<0.05) or allergy (34.6% versus 15.7%) than the control group; which suggests dysimmunity. Dysbiosis is easily detected by breath tests. The fermentation of sugars produces soluble gas which circulate to the lungs where they are exhaled [72,73]. Methylacetate, which belongs to the group of Volatile Organic Compounds, is particularly valuable to distinguish between various types of dysbiosis including small gut inflammation.
QuoteIsotretinoin normalizes [58,59] exaggerated TLR-2-mediated responses in acne patients [60,61]. Since TLR2 plays many positive physiological roles, deleterious consequences of its blockade are expected. TLR2 regulates the production of neurotrophic factors in intestinal smooth muscle cells and promotes survival of enteric neurons and glial cells [62,63]. TLR2 controls mucosal renewal. Cells kinetics of villous columnar epithelial cells are modulated by TLR2 and controls the proliferation of indigenous bacteria [64-66]. TLR2 enables local tolerance via Bacteroides fragilis. It discriminates between pathogens and symbiotic bacterial molecules in a process that engenders commensal beneficial colonization [67,68]. TLR2 controls indigenous bacteria proliferation in the upper alimentary tract. Lack of TLR-2 contribute to the settlement of undesirable bacteria, especially Gram-positive, or candida
QuoteIsotretinoin is known to impair stem cells renewal and TLR2 expression in the mucosa of the small gut. These pharmacological effects, explaining the efficacy of the medication on acne (the metabolic syndrome of the pilosebaceous gland) may induce the progressive atrophy of the jejunal mucosa and its long-lasting consequences. No therapy is available yet.

Yes I have posted this study quite a few times myself. Ive gone back and forth myself on p.acnes being a cause or even acure.
P. acnes is a strong stimulator of immunity both adaptive and innate, which includes tlr2 activation.

This establishes that specific strains of a probiotic bacterium can mobilize immunity to enhance the health of newborns, Mohamadzadeh said.
TH17 cells could also act as a gatekeeper to prevent microbial translocation from the large intestine.
