Im not spending alot of time on this atm because you can only look at so many studies before finding out for yourself what might be possible.
I too believe this could be time sensitive, meaning once you reach a certain age, you might not be able to go back and correct some things so easily. One example being peak growth is achieved between the ages of 15-20. Its also a prime age for acne and accutane prescriptions. If your more on the back side of this you might be better off then being on the front side. There are possibilities though. Ive seen more than just whats below as far as possibilities.
When talking about xenobiotic processing, this doesnt take place in just the liver but the GI tract as well. It could also take place in the lymphatic system, the skin. It could be systemic. Xenobiotics also dont have to be drugs, but anything the body considers a threat or imbalance.
- Cytochrome P450-modifying agentsCytochrome P450-modifying agents: In vitro, vitamin K2 was shown to dose-dependently activate and directly bind to the SXR receptor, which regulates drug clearance in the liver and intestine, and to induce expression of the SXR target gene, CYP3A4, in osteosarcoma cell lines (105).
Vitamin K2 regulation of bone homeostasis is mediated by the steroid and xenobiotic receptor SXR.
there is evidence that suggests vitamin K2 has a transcriptional regulatory function
SXR has a novel role as a mediator of bone homeostasis in addition to its role as a xenobiotic sensor.I think this could be a defect we were born with that many things are capable of antagonising. One of the worst offenders, Accutane.
How old were you when you took accutane again?
I was almost 21 when my side effects hit
I think it is a crime to put 10 to 15year old kids on chemotherapy for a few red spots but that is what some derms actually do .
I didnt take it until age 25so I was fully grown my back didnt get fused like many kids and its probably why I have no joint pain . And the most obvious is dosage I would say anything over 10.000 mg can do some serious long term damage indigo rush would be a good example.
What are peoples thoughts on Pregnenolone from a male perspective, take or avoid??
Ive heard it can increase estrogen, can anyone recommend taking it?
On the plus side I hear its good for both depression and arthritis or in our case joint pain......just dont want to further stuff up hormones....

Question! Have you had problems with weight gain at all??
I would avoid Pregnenolone unless you have bloods that show a deficiency of hormone somewhere. Even then, there's no telling which hormones it will affect.
If you have arthritis or depression, I would go with something with more evidence and non hormonal.
Good read.

I took it to try and boost low cortisol and DHEA (under my old GP)., which were maybe contributing to low libido. I never noticed any strong effects, but it did raise libido moderately on some days. Higher doses worsened my sleep. The research now indicates it opposes the action of cortisol, so now I'm unsure.
I have to order it from the US if I want to keep takin it as current GP is now uncomfortable prescribing it

Yes around the waistline but I am 42 and stripping weight like I did in my 20s isnt that easy.
You can argue that estrogen issues are at play but good luck with getting a test that explains anything - this is why Im at a point where experimenting with hormonal balance is where I want to go next.....regardless of those inconclusive test results!!
Within reason though as I dont wish to decline further.

Yeah I mean I'm 22 and can't lose weight to save my life and was in great shape/great metabolism before tane

Definitely can put on weight. It also fluctuates easily which points to water retention and my non frequent urination comes to mind.
I always feel bloated after eating and I have terrible gas.

Couldn't agree more...I'm sick of tests coming back 'normal' and being told to take nothing, yet feel like crap. Noticed you are in Aus too...if you buy some, where are you thinking of sourcing from?

And if you actually search the propeciahelp forum, A LOT of men have reported feeling better (maybe not 100% but still better) by balancing their hormones

If only it was an easy thing ...especially without doctors help.

I already got some - it arrived last week, you might say why arent you on it but you know that feeling where it sounds too good to be true but then there those side effects - theres nothing that doesnt have its own side effects!!
What also needs to be discussed is how hard to hit it? Should we just take it intermittently?
Ill have to experiment with it I guess....might just take one day and skip the next.
I bought online from Biovea Aust.

I think for some of us, it quite possibly could be! It all depends on how it affected our individual bodies. I could get my results back, have high estrogen, take arimidex or whatever to lower it and be completely cured of this mess, or I'll be stuck waiting around like others on this forum. We're all different

Yes, if you have clear deficiencies (or excess), then it is easier. If your results come back 'normal' (according to mainstream medicine anyhow) like many of ours do, then its not so easy.

I know the feeling. Ive got a box of Clomid I haven't started yet.
As for dose, I would follow the advice of Dr Ray Sahelian.

There's no guidelines for its use medically, and no telling what it will do once youve taken it, so 'start low, go slow'.
When I used preg in past, 20mg sublingual from the pharmacy gave me a boost in libido, but some days nothing.

Here is a possible example of a xenobiotic. Cancer.
Activation of the steroid and xenobiotic receptor, SXR, induces apoptosis in breast cancer cells

This could also be a key in cancer prevention.
They are more recently looking at activating innate immunity as possible treatment for some types of cancer.
K2 has shown anti tumor effects.

Maybe in the near future it will make more sense to migrate over to phoenix rising as opposed to posting here.
What is going on with the current state of phoenix rising? you said it was falling apart?
I do like just having one thread here as opposed to the 1,000s on phoenix rising. I wouldnt know where to post to be heard, or where to start.
If phoenix rising will continue to be the largest community with the greatest exchange of information, then a move would make sense.

You gotta break down these scientific posts dude...
I like that you're searching down every avenue but what the fuck does that post even mean? I mean come on...

Patience. Not for you but for me.
It will be 2 years in december that ive really been going at this.
Ive flown through alot of information.

Okay if it helps you, by all means! Just didn't know if I was supposed to deciphering it
So, I was able to get in touch with a Cannabis farmer in Colorado. He does small batches of CBD oil, but charges more because its organic and hand made on his family farm. Yea, so I'm pretty high as fuck right now. I was under the impression that CBD oil only had trace amounts of THC in it. I don't know if he knows that. This should be interesting...
