For those who look into 5-ARI as a main culprit, I suggest you read into SARMs.
Sarms shut down testosterone. Why would you be recommending this ?

Accutane shuts down testosterone. I've been shut down for 5 years. Between me and you, I don't at all worry about a possible ~5% temporary suppression. I'll follow with PCT in any case and get my hormones fully tested shortly after.
I'm looking at Ostarine especially, I know other SARMs bring more side effects. My point is that if we go from the perspective that Accutane is anti-androgenic, then looking at novel drugs that modify androgen receptors might be worth the while.
So I've been on nsi189 for a little less than 3 weeks and I'm seeing slight improvements. I just hope I can get my self back eventually.

To me abstinence does good with most sides. Never did as long as two months though, maybe one or little more. The problem is when you restart you're back to where you were.
Dying for clear skin sounds about right , some of us aren't doing much better than JUNKIES.

To be honest, there are many days where I think: fuck it, since I'm already so messed up, why not become a junkie. At this point, the main reason I haven't done so is financial.
also,
Has anyone here been on Effexor before?

I haven't touched alcohol since I got trashed at a few parties eary last summer. I think that helped worsen my situation
I'm beginning to think we should treat the emotional flatness problem like drug addiction or alcoholism if you guys feel like "junkies"
I realized this ENTIRE time I haven't' been taking enough iodine. As soon as I bumped up my dosage to 25MG (LUGOL's is the best in my opinion), I experienced no joint pain, ZILCH. Been at it for one month. I found this PDF to be very informative and helpful [Edited link out] Also, since I started methylation protocol, I don't get hangovers. Dehydrated yes, but I used to get MASSIVE hangovers where my head would feel like it was imploding. I am much better hydrated internally now after long-term high dose glutamine, coffee enemas, and homemade bone broth. Those 3 things have cured the dehydration problem. I'm not fiending for water anymore since I think my gut is finally sealed some. I still have yeast overgrowth problems, but they are much more manageable and I can always keep it at bay with supplements and especially turpentine, which just fricken nails it dead after taking it. The fact that it always comes back continues to speak to blocked bile flow/gallbladder issues. I think it also speaks to a defect in the immune system as well. It's not like I eat unhealthfully or treat my body poorly for a 28 year old. The main issue I have now is chronic constipation. Has anyone made any progress in this area? I know the obvious like fiber, magnesium, etc etc. Not what I am looking for, but someone who has something that either cures it or significantly helps? If we have blocked digestion it causes neurological and psychiatric symptoms as well. I'm sure by now most of us know that 70% (possibly more) of serotonin is FORMED in the gut. If things aren't moving or working down there, makes sense that we treat that too, no?
Thanks guys!

Interesting about the iodine. Most likely you had infections in your joints (like mycoplasma) and the iodine killed them off.
And parasites can slow down bowel motility allowing them to feast on your food for longer. That may be the cause of your constipation and bile issues. They crawl up into the bile ducts. VERY hard to eradicate them once they're setup in the liver and biliary system. Chlorine dioxide enemas are best for this as well as suppositories consisting of extracts of anti-microbial herbs like artemisinin.
I only got out large parasites myself when I started zapping. I use Ken Presner's ultimate zapper personally. It gets out the rope worms.
recommend reading this:

You aren't the first person who has mentioned that to me!! YES!! It has to be parasitic at this point. I am always fighting some type of infection. If I stop taking antiseptics, natural or prescribed it comes right back. I looked into zapping briefly but it seems SO darn complicated. Is it doable without a lot of time?/Practical in the sense of being a working professional doing 10 hour days?
I really think you hit the nail on the head! I'm nervous that my liver, gallballder and kidneys are infect. What is the dosing on chlorine dioxide, are you referring to MMS? I have a bottle. how many drops and diluted in what/how much? I'm also not familiar with artemisinin, but I'll look into it. Do you know of any other herbs that may work or herbal teas that you can use as an enema? I have a combo of wormwood, berberine, etc. that I take as tea internally....but never thought to try it below lol
The other telling thing is INSOMNIA. They seem to come out and play at night, and all of a sudden the joint pain comes back, but ONLY when I'm trying to sleep at night. During the day that's done for now.

Everyone should be tested and know their levels - especially prior to supplementing.
Zinc for instance lowers oestrogen.

Do you notice problems after consuming a diet higher in fat or refined sugars?
Use Psyllium Husk (a herbal supplement - not laxative) + Green Leafy Vegetable (Brocolli)+ (optional) Papaya or Bananafor long term colon cleanse, no side effects, helps IBS, Constipationtoo. Remember to drink enough water, alkaline is the best, normal water is also OK.
Try some detox diet or liver detox pill for massive cleanse, requires youto stay at home for a few days because you will visit the bathroom very often.
To boost testosterone, take Zinc (it is good for acne too), and lift heavy weight regularly.
Overall health, takeProbioticorManuka honey.
After all, I think to counter Accutane Side Effect, you can not do this with diet alone. Supplements pills (natural) and Healthy Lifestyle (work out, food, sex) might play an important roles.

High quality beer works pretty good for constipation keeps everything flowing.
What's the verdict on vitamin a after accutane? I have severe flushing and omega 3 makes it way worse. Pretty sure vitamin a has made it worse so far, as well, but somewhere in this forum someone mentioned that at first the vitamin a might make side effects worse but ultimately it will help as we are deficient in real vitamin a? Comments? Thoughts?

Did you take omega-3 and vitamin a in a supplement form or do you mean food containing it? Did you read this blog : https://ggenereuxblog.wordpress.com/2014/10/27/the-underlying-cause-of-eczema/ ? His ideas are interesting but not sure they're right. I have flushing too, even worse, permanent redness. Still wasn't able to determine if vitamin a is good or bad to me.
It's crazy to think, but I'm pretty sure the AR insensitivity theory is correct. Somehow a lot of us actually have TOO high of DHT levels in comparison to the level of sensitivity that our receptors can handle. 5AR-inhibition is necessary I believe as scary as it sounds.
Under the reasonable conclusion that I need to increase DHT after taking Accutane, I've tried many things to do it. I've tried sorghum, tribulus terrestris, creatine, and even a DHT-precursor. All these things made me worse off: more brain fog, bloating, eye pain, thinning hair, etc.
Lately though, I've been taking 450mg of Saw Palmetto per day and things have been steadily improving. My hair actually feels like hair is supposed to feel, my skin isn't as much of a dried-out greasy mess, my pecs don't bloat and make me feel like I have man boobs, and my eyes aren't constantly red and painful. Sexually, improvement isn't happening as rapidly as it is in other areas, but there's been slight improvement.
I've tried Saw Palmetto in the past, but overdid it and started feeling completely castrated. That was while taking 3-5 pills a day of the stuff though. I think like a previous post said, they key is to keep it in the appropriate range. So I'm taking it slow with just one pill a day now.
Before this I tried the Zinc method since it's also a 5AR-inhibitor, but the other effects of zinc eventually ended up making me go emotionally and even physically numb, so I cut that off quickly.
Hope this keeps up.

What blood tests have you had? I haven't seen anyone report being tested for too much DHT.
Everyone with sexual problems needs to have a complete sex hormonal panel test done. This is very basic common sense.
I can't see any doctor refusing these tests if you are having sexual problems.
SAW PALMETTO is not the way to go.
Young men - please do not follow this protocol.
In summary, we conducted a dose-ranging study to determine the relative testosterone doses and associated serum levels at which body composition, strength, and sexual function initially decline. By examining these relationships with and without suppression of estrogen synthesis, we found that lean mass, muscle size, and strength are regulated by androgens; fat accumulation is primarily a consequence of estrogen deficiency; and sexual function is regulated by both androgens and estrogens. Delineation of the degrees of hypogonadism at which undesirable consequences develop and of the relative roles of androgens and estrogens in each outcome should facilitate the development of more rational approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of hypogonadism in men.
I have been told by a doctor that accutane can suppresspituitary function and interfere with steroid synthesis. If anyone has had sex hormones tested please post!It certainly seems like testosteone is decreased even if it is still within range.Oestradiol is also altered. Many assume they have high Oestradiol because of body composition issues but raised and low estradiol have some of the same symptoms. This is why it is stupid to use SERM's without knowing your levels.Dr Goldsteine and a few other leading doctors treataccutane induced sexual side effects with clomid and possibly HCGWhat we need is research to see how suscessful this treatment is.Has anyone had this treatment?I am not advocating pharmaceuticals but we need to know what options may be out there.Anyone who is looking for answers but has not had extensive testing done really has no place on this forum.
