Chico- Yes, I think I said to be careful with flax! Many Accutane suffers do not do well with flax. I thinking of trying the oregano oil something new :) I would stop the flax oil though and maybe try foods with flax, but I can say I can't tolerate, Lamarr couldn't tolerate and a lot of suffers can't.

Hope the flushing goes down, give it a few days.

Yeah i'll just stick to the GLA and see were that takes me. Oh lots of water throughout the day is a must. This oregano oil is intriguing though, i have a white coat on my tongue and it could be candida related.

Wild oil of oregano will take care of your white tongue , no problem. Has anyone tried evening pimerose oil???? It is suposed to be good for

joint pain among other things.

Another accutane-related suicide.

I remember when this terrible story came out in 2002 of the boy crashing his plane into the building in Tampa, but had no idea Accutane was behind it.

What disease can possibly lead to thinning of the hair and hair loss of scalp, pubic area, eyelashes, eyebrows? even on hands, hair seems to get out easily. My cortisol level is over limit. My Anti-TPO test is OK. My estrogen level is close to highest level. Testosteron is in the range of a 45-55 years old man.

What can it be guys? my skin covered by hair seems to get inflamated all the time, and get the hairs out.

I tried Vit A, is gived me severe hair inflamation. Dont try it!

Saw Palmetto just leads to more hair loss. Not good! Tried it for 1 week or so, few months ago...

I dont feel like eating anything guys, i eat so few, and still not hungry. And my body still kinda fatty.

Anybody has/had same symptoms and fixed them somehow?

Robert, it is staggering that you would try another anti-androgen to remedy the anti-androgen induced system melt down you are currently experiencing.

Yes, they even tested tissue from his liver to see if there was any residue of Accutane. There was also a nationwide story not to long ago where a boy was on accutane and went crazy and killed his girlfriend. They wouldn't let Dr Bremner or James O'donnell Ph.D testify and then parents were on the Today show and other outlets claiming as they looked back he was controlling!

People just don't get that this drug can cause very very bad things to the brain! Though I have a lot of problems, I sometimes feel lucky that I still have my brain outside of the fog at times.

Robert have you seen a Endocrinologist?

Rovert it kind of sounds like the inflammatory disease alopecia areata. Have you tried oregano oil? I get an insanely itchy scalp, itchy skin, and thats the only thing that has eased it a bit. My hair falls out in droves too, both pubic and head hair.

Oli girl , brain damage would be considered one on the milder side effects , it's true .

When you go to a orthodox doctor they are trained by the pharma rep to NEVER talk about side effects , only talk about benefits for the

particular drug being prescribed , so they treat one usually mild problem , let's say acne , and potentially cause ten other problems you never

had hmmm... , sadly that is what happens most of the time. So more drugs are prescribed to treat the new side effects, it's a vicious cycle

and the only people that benefit is big pharma not you .

Orthodox medicine generally treats symptoms , for example you have back pain so they give you pain killers but RARELY to they actually treat

the underlying cause of your symptoms , they just mask them , I learned to stay away from them really it's best for me lol....

Camroz- Wouldn't Robert have to travel to the U.S. or will Crisler work by phone with a physican overseas? I believe Robert lives overseas if I am correct?

Gladiatoro - The brain damage I am speaking of is thoose who committ suicide or become a vegtable or schizophrenia or thoose with some much rage they have snapped and killed ( Hans Peterson killed his derm) induced by Accutane in which it destroyed thier brain! That is not minor by all means!

Also, Some of us have to depend on orthodox treament from certian diseases from Accutane. I die if I don't take thyroid meds, by either heartattack from such tchycarida or a coma in about 2wks, As with my autoimmune diabetes I don't take insulin I will be dead in no less then 7 days! Sjrogren's is mangable with out meds, just a nuisance! Yes, I do a lot of organic eating, and a lot of other things for my thyroid and type 1 diabetes, but I like I said dead if I don't take the meds!

Hope any of you that are mothers or have mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day! Hard to believe my daughter just started driving scary [Edited image out]

Robert- You can have a normal TPO, but still have abnormal tsh which is usually found in hypothyroid, Also cortisol can be related to adrenal glands! Having High Cortisol directly effects fat storage. low libido in men, leads to breakdown in muscle, testerone is decreased which in turn can cause insulin resistance and I believe it can raise estrogen levels. It can cause digestive issues, sleep issues and soo on. Cortisol is produced and secreted under the influence of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal gland axis! Many endocrine functioning organs such as thyroid, adrenals, pancreas etc.. have a strong relationship with the hypothalmus and pituitary!

Yes, I acknowledged that initially, when I gave the recommendation almost a month ago. He is known for his phone consultations. He then gets in contact with your local doctor to take care of the prescriptions. It is not cheap, but it is better than Robert trying to convince a plethora of local docs, who no doubt will not care or act decisively. As an aside, I am so glad to be finally part of the solution.

Oli girl , with the brain damage comment I was refering to brain fog which most of us have , not the extreme cases where people

become suicidal or vegetables , I understand you have to take meds for your diabetes , unfortunately the side

effects caused these problems for you and you have no choice , and that was my whole point , take one med , then have other problems .

My orthodox doc is a nice guy and he is smart , I got tested for diabetes a while ago because I'm always so thirsty hmmm.... wonder why ,

thankfully I don't have diabetes not even type 2 so I don't have to take diabetes meds like you or rather injections , I also had my thyroid

checked and it's ok , as for the thyroid there are natural alternatives sold at your local health food store that address that problem , just saying

you should look into it it may be a viable option for you. And oli girl check out these links and by the way happy mothers day to you . (=

Nope can't get away with just natural form for thyroid, mine is autoimmune and my right side if almost gone! As for Diabetes I do a lot of things along with insulin to keep the sugars stable through out the day, but no choice there either as my pancreas is kaput! In other words I am my pancreas, my beta cells are gone and I produce no insulin! I wish it was type 2 if I had to have it cause that can be controlled by exercise and diet and supplements!

Thanks for the links I will check them out!

Firstly my english is not perfect because I am from Poland. I am happy that I ve just found this site and this topic. I have taken Isotretinoin for 6 months. Now I haven't taken it for almost one year. But I am sure my organism doesn't work like before. I want like some people here my old life back.

The worst think the doctors doesn't take me seriously.

What's wrong with me ? Mainly problems with digestion... I want to eat and eat and... I lost weight a little insead of put on weight. When I took Isotretinoin my stool was whole grey, now it's not grey but it's diffrent it's more mushy, not well formed I can find some pices of food like corn. ( NEVER had problem with digestion corn before).

I used to like drinking alcohol, to be honest I drunk a lot and I felt OK. Now after even a small dose I feel really bad. (my social life is ruined now) [Edited image out]

I also feel like i got too much (probably) hydrochloric acid. (maybe becasue I eat too much)

Thank to this site I found out it's definitely problem with the liver, no matter that all my liver test were fine. Now my question. Is it pernamet damage or temporary ? Is it possible to rebuild my digestion to normal ? Is there any post who 100% say what's work Jf i want to detox my liver ? Are the any aricles about it ? Are there any posts written by doctors who say how to come back to normal life ?

I really apraciete such solid voices here like Chico, but it's difficult to find post which say what is trule working.

I shouldn't eat anything what has Vitamin A (retinol)? or should I eat food with retinol to replace "fake" retinol which probaboly still is in my liver

Btw. I havent had runny nose since taking Isotretinoin.

(I have never seen written such thinks about Isotretion on the polish sites. ) It shows me how low is the awareness about how bad Isotretinoin is.

This really pisses me off, youre right, most doctors completely downplay the potential side effects of any given drug. When I was prescribed accutane my derm vaguely and dismissively said how accutane got a bad rap for some "possible suicides which were never proven to be related".

I am here to say, accutane not only made me suicidal, it gave me delight at the thought of suicide! Thats sick, but thats how bad everything seemed in my mind. Brain damage a lesser side effect? *expletive expletive*, I HATE these drug companies.

Of course it was the accutane none of us on here have any doubt.

For some reason, a lot more males become homicidal as well as suicidal maybe it effects the testosterone levels.

For me, I was suicidal, not only made one (obviously failed) attempt with a gun, but tried to od, cut my wrists and even nearly jumped off a roof. I couldnt be left alone, not with a knife a belt or an open window!

Accutane made me batshit crazy and suicidal, and I didnt feel any different until Id been off of it for about 4 months.
