i'm definately still experiencing this hair loss. maybe not exactly to the extent that i was, but i am still losing a lot of hair. i'm beginning to really lose hope because i've just entered my 6th month post accutane and hair loss. the shedding is really grating me.

for some reason, after tane my hairline is more oily...or at least as oily as it was...but I have had a thinning hairline...also..i sometimes have like these small bumps on my scalp like pimples which appear and disappear every so often....most of the hair loss is at the temples..but it is not dramatic..i am 6 months post acuttane. My scalp has thinned significantly

Ba6a6y wrote me a personal message in which he or she said that his or her hair grew back. Check out his or her profile, and her posts, here: http://www.acne.org/messageboard/View-Memb...ile-m50622.html

Indeed. I have no clue what the hell is going on with my hair. I see short hairs. I do. And they look OK. But I'm still very thin. Do I have to wait for these hairs to get longer before I stop being so thin? Whenever my head sweats, my scalp becomes (only slightly) visible.

Also, I think I see regrowth on my temples and hairline. But I wonder if what I'm actually seeing are remaining hairs rather than new ones - if that makes sense.

For sure man, the hair at the front of your head will always appear worse, the rest of our head has hair underneeth it, obviously our forehead doesn't!! How long are the hairs you see at your temples? if they are significantly shorter than the rest, then it must be regrowth...

Oh btw it's my three month anniversary with the sexy little minx that is TE :D

Yes, the hair is short. So perhaps it is regrowth. It'd be interesting to see if it grows long and completes my temple.

By the way, are you saying that you've only had hair loss for 3 months? Somebody should compile everybody's data (time, age, sex, etc.) and keep it somewhere for quick reference.

Yep it has only been shedding for 3 months, it coincided with the begining of this thread... If it is shorter and you see alot of it, then it WILL be regrow, normally you may have the odd hair shorter than the rest but not a significant number...

It blows my mind that you've been undergoing this for only three months.

We'll see what happens when my hair grows out a bit more.

PS: Not to make light of three months. I remember flipping out at three months. I just thought you had had this problem for longer.

So the new hairs I see are not unpigmented. The light was just hitting them in the wrong way. My roommate took a look at them and said they were brown and as thick in diameter as my other hairs. My hairline is coming in and my hair looks a little better wet.

I am not getting my hopes up until next month, when these short hairs hopefully become long. Who knows - maybe they'll fall out.

But things are going better. It took 6 months, but things are going better. We will see what happens.

doubt they will fall out if they are same diameter and colour mate, good stuff!! My only hope is that areas most effected by DHT just take longer to respond...

You're only three months in, man. You got to wait the six, I think. Don't lose hope yet.

Mine stopped at 3.75 months, roughly. You might be close. I remember mine started shedding like mad before it stopped.
