Hi. No,unfortunately I do not have enough time to visit my dermatologist. How do you feel, have some new information about betadine, help you with something? If it's not a secret how old are you and how many time you shave per week? i shave 1 time per week whith my electric razorand i read on the net that it is very good to shave at least 4 times a week.Keep it up to date on what you think about it, good luck!
Hi guys,
I am following this thread from the beginning since I was suffering from the exact same problem as rocketboysf for more than 10 YEARS!!!
It almost led me to mental illness... Nothing was helping - creams, topics, pills, antibiotics... Sometimes the cysts and pus around my mouth and beard were so big, deep and bad, I had to do surgeries. My face is full of scars now.
The problem was my approach from the very beginning, I thought dermatologists knew what they were doing...
Blah-blah, anyway - I think I finally have the solution, cause my problem is almost gone after just one week, so I really hope my finding will be helpful to you.
Two words: FOOD INTOLERANCE
Stop taking pills and spending tons of money on cosmetics, the solution is to actually eliminate the food from your daily intake which makes your blood create IgG antibodies.
Go and take food intolerance blood test right now and stop eating the food you're intolerant to.
It's really hard to find out which one it is by yourself, cause the reaction sometimes takes 2-3 days to show up and you're probably eating small quantities of the dangerous foods for you every day. So DO THE TEST!
My results were not so cheerful - I am intolerant to both dairy and gluten, and also to eggs, wheat, durum, rye, beans and peanuts.
Keep in mind that milk and wheat are the ingredients of almost all packaged and processed foods.
What I can eat safely is all kind of meat and fish, all fruits and vegetables, potatoes, rice, oats, corn and some nuts. On the contrary of what I thought, coffee, sugar and alcohol are also safe and not getting things worse either while on this diet.
Something which can speed up your recovery is adding extraVitamin B12 &Vitamin D to your daily diet as well, cause you're most probably deficient.
That's it! No more lotions, topics, expensive cleansers, creams and other crap. No more toxic antibiotics and whatever. Removing the food I am intolerant to for just a week cleaned my face. Now I can't wait to see how my skin will look after 2-3 months.
On a final note - I decided to go this route and do this blood test and experiment by myself alone. No dermatologist or doctor suggested this may be the cause. Never, not once. Even more - one dermatologists argued with me AFTER the test and the obvious results after a week on this diet that the food is still not the cause of my years of nightmare.. But you know what? There's a pretty logic explanation of all this - doctors are pharma distributors nowadays, they're just stupid sellers trying to heal the symptoms, not the causes. And the right solution to this problem is to actually STOP buying certain foods/drugs/things, not adding more, that's why this is not an option for the medicine and economics in 2017 and you won't hear it from anyone.
Good luck!
hi.Of the ton of information found on the net about me about these pimpls, the most strange seems to me that symptoms start to appear in people aged 27 to 40, You do not have any problems when you shave so often,i mean you do not break them during the process and you do worse?
Weird about the age thing. How old are you again. If i don't shave every two days i get seborrheic dermatitis. So i can never really get past the 3rd day as it gets really dry and flakey around the beard. So i just do my best to shave around and go over the area with benzoyl peroxide after.
How are you going?
What's your stress levels like atm?
Hey guys, I'm 20 years old. This week I tried something different, I was on low sugar and moderated carbs for a while and it wasn't that bad. This past week I totally broke down, thinking that my diet wasn't helping at all. I was under a lot of stress and started eating very sugary foods, pretty much chocolate cookies, ice cream and my face is alot worse now. That pretty much convinced me that diet does play significant role
My face actually gets worse with shaving, I think the pus spreads and causes more pimples cuz shaving kinda breaks the skin. Tho if I use potash alum, or even hibiclens to disinfect afterwards it gets better.
This condition pretty much started after a very stressful time for me and hasn't subsided since. The worst part is, this condition is so stressful that its hard to get the stress under control.
HI.I am 31 years old and a have this acne foe one year.My question is, someone tried apple cider vinegar to cure this pimples?
Tried it. For me even a lower percent mixed with water. Gave me the worst breakout I've ever had. Could have been an initial breakout but it was too intense to continue.
Next thing on my list will probly be trying manuka honey seeing as its antibacterial antifungal and viral.
Just hard to keep throwing money at a problem with very little improvement.
I've been following this thread for a while and my condition is very similar. I have dry skin everywhere on the body except the face, where its very oily. I also suffer from chronic sinusitis and pretty much have a running/blocked nose 90% of the time.
After having been to enough dermatologists, it was finally (probably correctly) diagnosed as folliculitis. This agrees with my observation that my zits would increase in number a day or two after I had a terrible running nose. And my zits were mostly around the nose, mouth and chin and rarely ever on cheek, forehead or the scalp. The Staphylococcus aureus had made its home in my nose.
I was given Doxycycline for two weeks and it cleared up the zits after the first 3 days of taking. Once the course was over, it however, returned after about 3 weeks. I started another but longer course for a month and again it cleared after the first few days and was clear for a week after the end of course. When it returned for the second time, I was given Trimethoprim/Sulfamethaxozole for a week. Again it cleared the zits after the first two days. I was given Doxycycline again with a greater dose to comepletely neutralize the bacteria. It probably will reoccur but hopefully it takes longer this time. Also, I have tried all kinds of diet modifiers and other medicines. None of them have worked, only certain anti-biotics. Your mileage may vary. Its a good idea to talk to your dermatologist about Foliculitis and see what he/she has to say about it.

Hey guys,
Please welcome me back to this website and thread after successfully getting rid of this condition twice, I'm struggling with it again
Check my previous posts about my struggles with this type of acne and also my success story. To summarize, I cleared it in 2014 through diet control. It came back last year in 2016 for 2 months and I got rid of it again through diet control. I was clear again for a year till i broke out two weeks ago.
So you might be wondering what causes it to come back. One word - ANTIBIOTICS.
They will clear up the condition really well for the duration you take it, but make it come back worse. Do a google search or even a search on this website to confirm this, antibiotics makes pustules come back worse.
Last year i was put on antibiotics for a week due to a stomach infection. Kept me clear for 2 months before i broke out horribly. I cleared it up with diet control but last month i had a surgery and they injected antibiotics through IV into my body. I was clear for 2 weeks and now its back and I'm trying to clear it using diet again.
A lot of you say diet didn't work for you. That isn't true for me. You have to be really strict with your diet. 2 things to complete eliminate are dairy and sugar. NO FRUITS NO MATTER HOW LOW IN SUGAR THEY MIGHT BE.
Trust me guys, remove all sugar - natural or artificial and ALL types of dairy like eggs milk butter yogurt and cream. No chips or chocolates or cold drinks or fruit juices. No white bread. Whole wheat bread is okay. No milk or sugar in your tea. NO ketchup (its horrible for our type of acne.) No coffee. Tea is okay for me.
Even some vegetables can break you out so remove ALL fruits vegetables and dairy from your diet and youll notice the difference in 10 to 14 days.
I stick to chicken, red meat and rice and whole wheat bread and it keeps me clear. After a couple of months you can slowly start adding certain types of fruits and see if it breaks you out.
You won't have to stick to this strict diet forever. Just for a few weeks till your acne is under control. And then slowly you can start adding back food items to see if it breaks you out.
Disclaimer- if you're in antibiotics right now and decide to stop using it, you will be clear for a bit and then go through a huge purge/ breakout for about 3 to 4 weeks. During that time period, even diet can't control it much. It's just a side effect of antibiotic which people fail to realize.
But if you're not on antibitoics, the above diet should help you. Everyone is sensitive to different types of food. It's upto you to figure out which one is causing your issue.
Well im still getting them and it is kind of getting me down. I just feel mentally exhausted.
i think the hardest part is the fact they're are full off pus makes it so much more embarrassing than say your normal type of acne. Honestly i know its bad but i find it hard to look people dead on in the face becuase of judgment.
I have altered my diet so much right now. I pretty much eat chicken, brown rice and veg. It makes it very hard to continue to do so when its yielding such little results. I think next week i am going to try to shave with a saftey razor and have a look at this sebamed clear face wash that is suppose to kill bacteria down like crazy.
Question for you guys, does yours itch. Mine goes through stages right now its itchy dry and causing pustules. The itch makes me wonder if it is fungal. So i have also purchased e45 anti dandruff shampoo to try.
I figure i could try anti bacterial sebmed in the morning and antifungal e45 at night?
Anyways thats my update for now.
if you guys would like to set up an email group or something please let me know.
It was going better, but suddenly got worse this weekend.
For 3 weeks after uni ended, my face was pretty much clear. I was probably the least stressed out during that time and diet wasn't even great. Another thing to note, I would sleep 12 hours a day.
Lately (past 2 months), I get about 4-6 hours of sleep every night. Under high stress during internship and in general been very sad and demoralized. I guess I'm just tired.
I regularly use a clay mask (almost every 2 days). I also use Trisolan face wash (Trisan). I tried Hibiclens a few months ago and it worked. I'm in Canada so it's not available here. Instead, I got dexiden which is the Canadian clone (same mixture), but it didnt do anything
This weekend, I ate alot of sugar and I was under stress. I also ate bread after several months. So I'm attributing the flare to those things.
EDIT: Also, I haven't properly shaved in a long time, I just trim. I stopped shaving once I ran out of hibiclen, using it as a aftershave was very very helpful, ofcourse avoid eyes mouth ears.
I would be down to be on an email group, I usually log in here every few days so always miss stuff. I'm currently going on a zero sugar diet. Aiming to sleep 7 hours a day and limiting stress levels by not giving a f***.

Hang in there bud. It is mentally exhausting, no doubt but believe that youll be able to get this under control soon. WE SHOULD DEFINITELY set up an email group or share whatsapp numbers or something (myself, you and marquisjo). Im certain one of us will be able to get to the bottom of this. Even if it takes time, we can help each other get through it.
Good thing you got the E45 shampoo. Its something I want to try and have just placed an order through ebay. I really hope its fungal because canucklehead12 was able to solve his through E45 shampoo (check his topics). If that does not work, then on to Bioderma Node P. These apparently should work if it is fungal.
For bacterial, I came across a thread where someone cured his using Hibiclens. It is an anti-bacterial product and he was able to cure his using the same.
The worst part is that there is no easy way to tell if it is fungal or bacterial without a test done and most doctors are hard to convince because they just want to prescribe antibiotics.
The corners of my nose get this yellowy stuff which Im assuming is seb dermatitis. My mouth and chin area is REALLY dry and thats where all my pustules are. I hope someone could tell if this is bacterial or fungal. TBH I HOPE ROCKETBOY COMES BACK and gives us the answer we need.
But dont stress guys. Thats they key. Dont give up. Lets exchange emails etc and stay in touch consistently.

Hey, I live in Canada too! Did Hibiclens completely clear it for you? How long did it take to work? Why don't you buy it off ebay or something??
Ok so kind of an update i guess. I went to go see this doctor who prescribed me duac/bp for my problem few months ago. It did nothing btw. And he asked me if it was itchy and i told him like crazy. He then proceeded to show me photos of tinea barbe and said it could be fungus.
I didn't even mention that was my hunch. But he sent me on my way with lamasil antifungal gel and a steriod. Not sure if i wanna use the steriod as ive read some horror stories. But started with the antifungal gel last night.kinda concerns me that it has some pretty poor clogging ingredients.
Doc also advised we do a full bood test to check everything out and maybe find the cause for my oily skin.
So im feeling abiy better today. Sort of cautiously optimistic i guess. But yeah will keep you all updated

Good to know. If it works, please don't disappear without posting what worked for you lol. If you guys are still down to set up a email group chat, let me know.

I have exactly the same as what you have there! Suffering from this since early 2016 so it has been more than a year now. It first appeared on my scalp and then around my mouth area.. First, Derma prescribed me Clinamycin 500mg once a day for about a month and a half and I got cleared up.. but then after a week or two.. it came back! So I took Doxycycline 100mg 3x a day and alternate it to once/twice day for about 5 months while putting Clindamycin gel at the same time but still didn't see any improvement. Until Feb 2017 when I stopped taking it, it got worse so I went to see another Derma and he did a swab on my zits, came back with the result of "scanty growth of mixed flora with slight K Pneumoniae" and I was prescribed Ciproflaxin 500mg twice a day for 1 week and Foban antibiotic cream. It surely got better.. so he changed the meds to Clarithromycin 250mg twice a day for 2 weeks alternated it once a day for another 2 weeks together with Clindamycin lotion/gel, he also prescribed me Tetracycline 300mg once a day to every other day but didn't see it cfully cleared up so I went back to Clarithomycin.. it was controlled but never cleared up.. while I was seeing this Dermatologist, I was on strict diet.. no sugar, no dairy, no fruits, less veggies. Last month, the Dr did another swab on my zits but came back with the SAME result. I really had no clue what was going on so I stopped seeing the Dr. but continued the Clarithromycin 250mg alternate twice and once a day..
I have read about yeast/fungal infection so I also tried putting on some Ketoconazole cream...
Right now, it still looks the same.. I get 3-4 white pus a day and others go away the next day and another pops up.. I am now trying Nizoral shampoo on the affected areas since I am planning to stop taking antibiotics..
I really hope there is a cure for this.
I am also sufferinv from allergic rhinitis and ot has gotten worse too! Runny/clogged nose almost the whole day!!!!
Hi everyone, just wanted to tell you about some of my experiences with the same issue. I believe water is the main culprit I live in an area which is extremely hard water and I work in an area with extremely soft water, the difference is unbelieveable in my skin from when I'm home to when I'm at work. I've learnt never to wash with hot water, cool/cold only. What I have been having massive success with lately is very simple, and I have been almost clear for the whole week and counting, so I encourage you to try. In the morning I splash on cold water and just have a 30 seconds massage with hands, no moisturiser etc.. in the evening I get the flannel out always fresh, and have a good scrub for a couple of minutes then put an ok free moisturiser on then go to sleep. immediately afterwards im red but come the morning it has died down and the more I do it the more my skin got used to it and is less red. It seems to be working very well however it's hard to tell for certain as it's only been a week.
Before and after picture. 2 weeks apart
You say the pics are 2 weeks apart yet the second pic has a date of May 2016?

Everyone,
I can't believe how many of us are suffering from this stupid shit yet haven't been able to find a cure or don't even communicate enough!
I am proposing it again- let's all exchange emails or something and try to get to the bottom of this. I don't know about you guys but I am really passionate about this because it has affected my life in so many ways to the point I refuse to be in a relationship because well..imagine waking up beside your significant other with these crusty white/yellow mess on your face.
You can inbox me your whatsapp numbers or email ids and I'll create a group where we can track daily progress and share ideas. Or if that does not work for you guys, lets at least make an effort to visit this website regularly and let each other know what is working?
Yes that happens with all my photos since I dropped my phone, i agree regarding keeping in touch I will PM you my email. I have noticed already that my skin is now starting to get quite red probably from the daily scrubbing wearing down the skin mantle. I'm going to try and play around with the same method as I really thought I was into a winner! I don't know about you guys but I find weather changes also have an effect such a summer to winter which I've since been informed is due to skin fragility again due to breaking down the mantle!
Im going to try gentle washing with cold water only and finger tips, perhaps the flannel is too abrasive. Also limit the time under water to a couple of minutes as I find it very drying! We shall beat this!!

wait dropping your phone won't shift bits around on your phone's cpu is. in simple terms, cut the bullshit. if your phone is showing 2016, then it means your phone's date/time must also show 2016. if you really are telling the truth, lemme introduce you to the settings menu where the date can easily be changed.
Whoa take it easy. Not sure what someone would gain out of lying about having this condition so im sure his truthful.
Anyways for me im in limbo at the moment. I feel as if lamasil is clearing the fungus side of things but it has some really pore clogging ingredients so i seem to be breaking out.
So yeah not much of an update from me I'll come back later this week when i find out my blood test results.
But yeah lets keep our heads up and own beat this.
