Nah they have cortizone in it or however you spell it. It's suppose to actually help with healing

My face is even better than the week before! Only had around 4 major whiteheads through the week! But even better I didn't get even one deep cyst. I also upped my dosage to 40mg today. Kinda worried that the side effects will be much more harsh but I know I'll be able to get over it. I'm hoping this following week will be even better. The only bad part will be that ill probably break out a little since my dosage has been raised. The only weird thing that happen this week was that I broke out quite bad on the back of my neck which normally doesn't happen. Other than that i'm pretty happy my face is starting to clear :)

Thought I'd take a break from updates because it was getting to be the same old same old. I got a pretty bad breakout when I first upped my dosage to 40mg. But once it cleared I stayed clear for a full week. But now I've had another small breakout. Hopefully I'll be clear by later this week. Accutane and acne period can get me so frustrated sometimes. One minute it's all clear and I think I'm on my way to no more pimples but then the next day I wake up with pimples begining to form all over the place. But I'm definently trying to stay hopeful cuz the breakouts are a lot less. My shoulders have been covered in pimples but now they are starting to clear. As of side effects, just a little back pain and dry lips. Lifting has been going well and I've been able to continue to add weights to my squat and bench press. I'll be doing another update after my next appointment which is early November. image.thumb.jpg.5793bcb0c4036968bdfea35bimage.thumb.jpg.532d2b9c728f374460c8c3c8image.thumb.jpg.590ac8b31074bad9fbed5173

image.thumb.jpg.57b1f5dfc8fb9c8002fadb18I've got a skin appointment tommorow so I decided I would do a quick update. Nothing has changed really. Less pimples and really dry eyes are the only major issue. Squatting has also been going good with no lower back pain

It's been a long time since I last updated and gosh does the time fly by. About a month ago I raised my dosage to the highest in going to go which is 60mg. And to be honest it doesn't feel much more different than the 40. My face neck and back are all clear almost completely. I maybe get a small pimple once a week. I can finally say the medication is helping tremendous amounts. Raising my dosage really helped speed up the process. For side effects just the usual dry eyes dry lips and dry skin. When I'm working out I get a little back pain and a little shoulder pain but quite easy to deal with. And really makes a world of difference when staying hydrated! Advice for anyone deciding to take accutane, I recommend starting off really low and slowly raising the dosage vs starting off high. In my opinion I think it would help your body get use to it more slowly and would help with less side effects.

Haven't updated in forever it's felt like. Things have been running extremely smooth. Clear face clear back and clear everything. Two weeks left then I will be done with the treatment. Should have a few more posts coming up soon in order to answer some questions I've gotten.
