I know! I really hope that I can say that Accutane was worth it by the end of August. To start school full-time with a clear face would mean so much to me.

I hateee mosquitos! For some reason, I always get bit in the middle of my forehead by one EVERY time they come out

brow.gif my luck. I haven't seen any june bugs thank the lord, do you guys have those?

How's everyones jaws doing? Haha it seems like that's where Accutane loves to be a bitch ;(.

My two whiteheads have scabbed off and surprisinginly fell off with no red mark

smile.png BUT.. don't applaud just yet. Two new ones appeared right below where the other two were.. COOL.

I'm so over my acne lol, I'm not even surprised when I break out anymore. I would tell you the good news about my face but I'm scared the Acne.Org Gods will attack me and tomorrow morning i'll have jinxed myself..

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! My boyfriend and I are taking the ACT Saturday morning so we're both going to the library to be a nerdy couple and study for it. He bought this like.. 30$ Guide for the ACT so we're going to kill our brains with it. I get til 3pm though to relax because he always works mornings in the summa.

What were your guys scores?

I get paid this Friday and neeeeed a few tank tops this summer.. what do you guys like to wear in summer? Is that a dumb question? Haha I'm just trying to focus the convo on less acne for a little bit so we all can get a mental break!

smile.png

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Ugh! Mosquitos LOVE me. I don't know what it is. I could be outside for five minutes and seriously get 10 bites. Do they bite anyone else around me? Nope. sad.png I hate getting them on my face. So annoying!

Hope those pesky new zits go away soon!

And I already said this in Betsy's log, but good luck with your test! I don't think I ever took the ACT??? I remember other people taking it, but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

I wear lots of dresses in the summertime! smile.png

My kids are like you Taylor, they get bitten all the time. When they were little they would sometimes be allergic to them and they would swell up and get hot. I used to have to put a hot washcloth on them to help them go away. I don't get bitten so much. I think mosquitos are the worst thing about summer-even here in Florida. I hate bug spray too - Betsy if you do the bracelet thing let us know how it works. I'd love to do that for my kids.

My daughter wasn't required to take the ACT but she did - she got a 30. I think 36 is the highest so a 30 was really good. She's a great test taker - also got a 1330 on her SAT. I, on the other hand, not so good. Believe it or not I remember what I got. I got a 21 on the ACT and under 1000 on the SAT - ugh, but I got into college! I had good grades and that was like a million years ago so it was easier then. 🙂 I'm sure you'll do great with all those high level classes you take.

Betsy, I also got sand fly bites a few years ago on my right foot (I think I walked through a puddle where they were breeding) and they took FOREVER to go away and they were more annoying and itchy than any mosquito bite I've ever had!

I got a 1300 on my SAT. Whoops. Lol. I only took it once and I didn't study. I never test well anyway, no matter how much I study. Still graduated college though, so I don't care! 😛

A 1300 is super good!! The highest is 1600 if you don't count the writing part- only add the math and reading together, which is what most colleges take into account. 1300 means you're a smarty!! My daughter's college said they average SAT they accepted was a 1275 meaning they took some below that also.

Day 72

Wow I™m feeling better today. amused.gif Less fatigued, no headache. No eye problems. Thank god! I was feeling unhappy and irritable throughout this week, and today I feel more calm, so that™s always good.

These two whiteheads on my cheek are bothersome. I popped the one last night; it™s now a scab. The other one is looking like it wants to take it™s good old time and chill on my face for however long. Meh. Come on, ˜tane, my cheeks looked great a few weeks ago!

Everything on my jaw appears to be scabbing up, including the cystic zit from forever ago. I hope that this is a good sign and that they™re healing? I did get a new whitehead in the past day (I think that™s what it is right now) right above my jaw on the right side. Fits right in with the other suckers.

And I hate math. HATE IT.

I think it's a good thing the acne on your jawline is scabbing. It must be healing! Hopefully it won't stick around much longer! Hope the whiteheads on your cheek go away soon! It would be nice if things cleared up faster on this drug!

Thanks Rachel!

I really hope it's getting ready to GO AWAY, hahaha. My last treatment, I didn't breakout on my jaw...or quite this bad. I think there's still a possibility to have this month turn around and prove to be a magic month after all. My birthday is in three weeks. :)

Looking good, Katie! I can see an improvement for sure!

BTW- your sister is RAUNCHY for wearing your underwear!! I can't understand how people think that's acceptable to do?!

^I agree, the devil created acne for sure! Along with mosquitos and those awful see-through neon ponchos whistling.gif) Just had to throw that in there, good luck ladies, I am planning to begin a low-dose accutane soon so am reading your logs so I know what to expect and wishing you all success.

Aw, there's way worse than neon ponchos.... men's jorts for example. High waisted jeans. Ladies' shoulder pads in the 80s. 80s fashion in general, actually. Mullets. Corn-yellow teeth. You get my point :P

I wear lots of dresses in the summertime! smile.png

Mosquitos love me too!!! The past 3 years I have gone with the same group of people to go watch fireworks on the 4th of July and my daughter and I are the only one's who leave with like 15 bites. I hate it. I saw these bands you can put around your wrist that give off a scent that they hate and you can't smell it. They look like those rubber band that everyone hands out of causes ya know. I am seriously thinking about investing in them. Mosquito bites are the worse. Horse fly bites are terrible too. Also I got bit by sand flies in FL those bites stuck around for forever. Like I still have marks where they bit me from over a month ago.

Taylor during the first month or 2 of my course I got whiteheads in the same spot all the time. Right when one would go away another one would seriously pop up right on top of it. Hopefully yours go away soon! Icky whiteheads.

I wonder if I didn't take a ACT test either Rachel... That might be why I don't remember my score. I also remember other people taking it. Odd

I just bought a bunch of new tee shirts out of that really light cotton fabric for the summer. I am in love. The fabric feels so nice! I got a few new tank tops too. I used to wear sun dresses all the time when I was your age Taylor. For some reason I stopped, I should get some new ones!! Im a capri or shorts person though. Also I wear sweatshirts all the time. I am such a freeze baby. It could be 80 outside and I will wear shorts and a sweatshirt. Weird I know, I've done it since I was a kid though. I love being warm.

Welcome back! I'm glad you got it all figured out, I can imagine how frustrating that must be to think you lost all the stuff related to your profile!

And ugh, mosquitoes are the bane of my existence! My mom and I get bitten as soon as we're outside and it's awful. I'm particularly allergic, so their bites swell up to penny sized in the matter of a few minutes. Does this happen to you guys too?

I loooove dresses for summertime! Taylor, you'd look really good in them! They don't even have to be expensive, just go check out Forever21 and similar stores... super cute and affordable :)

The ACT is more prevalent in the middle states whereas the SATs are usually taken everywhere else. Colleges accept both scores, though. Rachel, I got a 1300 too! My SAT only had verbal and math and was out of 1600 total, and I scored in the 90th percentile and felt pretty badass for a public school kid in a medicore high school cool.png I know they added a new writing section a few years later though, and now it's out of 2400. Did you take it with the writing section too?

Stacey- it's awesome your daughter is a good test taker. I'm that way, too, and I think I saved my parents a lot of stress, haha :) A ton of my friends shelled out thousands of dollars for test prep classes by Kaplan and whatnot, and they ended up getting like 1050 (back when the SAT was 1600 total... not sure what it'd be with the new writing part factored in), which isn't good at all if you wanted to get into even a decent state school...

Thank you, Lily! It's a gradual improvement...but I'm hoping 3 months will do the trick & get rid of this annoying acne!

I KNOW!! That is pretty damn raunchy. When I asked her about it, she said "I didn't have any." LIKE, COME ON, REALLY?!

Those sand flies are a big pain in the ass. My bites took forever to go away and itched sooooo bad. FInally most of them are gone. I was so scared because I was staying in a hotel and never saw anything bite me that they were bed bug bites! I was so scared I brought something home in my suitcase and I was freaking out. Turns out they were sand fly bites. I do not like all the bug you guys got out the in FL!! If I do try those bracelets I will let you know how they work. I have never had much luck with bug repellents before so it would be awesome if they worked.

Day 71

So, I figured out that this Monday coming up marks my HALF WAY mark through treatment! Wow. I kind of can't believe I've been taking it for as long as I have been...then again, it does feel like I've been constantly taking these pills and waiting for my moment to be like "HOLY SHIT, I LOVE ACCUTANE, IT'S AMAZING, EVERYONE!" Haha. I've felt that feeling before, and it was amazing. I'm on my way there, I guess.

My stye went away. The stye eye drops must've helped. Amazing. No pain, no itching, no swollen-ness in my eye, no blurred vision. HELL YEAH. However, I experienced one of the worst headaches/migraines today that I have in a while. It was bad. I have no idea what was going on with me today; on top of the headache, I felt exhausted, and dizzy. It was not pleasant at all. The headache was so persistent that I went to my HR office after lunch & asked them if they had any IBUprofen. They didn't, but luckily my coworker did. God, that was not good. I don't know if it was caffeine withdrawal, or what...because I didn't drink coffee in the morning like I normally do. Yikes.

The eczema patches on my hands came back. I picked up some Aveeno eczema cream last night. 13 dollars, so it better friggin' work good. My eczema is looking better today, so that's good!

I took pictures of my face today. The cheek pimple from last week is starting to get smaller and hopefully it'll go away. I developed two sister whiteheads below it though, right next to each other. They're fairly small, so I'm hoping they go away ASAP.

So, I think it's safe to say that I am making progress on this whole journey after comparing pictures from day 58 and today, day 71. Slowly...but at least I'm getting somewhere. smile.png All the marks on my forehead from day 71 are post-acne hyper pigmentation that I'm hoping eventually fades. Don't mind my crazy towel-head. OH, and damn I must be tired today! It's supposed to say day 58 not 68! Woops!

Okay, so I need to go get one of those weekly pill dispenser things on them with the days, because I think I took an extra 30mgs today by accident. WTF. That's 120mg. WHAT DID I JUST DO? I hope it doesn't break me out. I'm an idiot. I think I may print out a calendar and just mark on each day check marks that I took the pills. I can't have that happen again. saywhat.gif

I just counted the amount of pills and did the math. I must have taken an extra pill today, and did it once before during this month. I just printed out a calendar so I can check that I took them twice. I completely forgot that I took my 2nd dose right after I got home. I really hope that extra 30 mgs doesn't break me out. That's 120mg of Accutane in one day! YOWZA.

That my dear is a shit load of accutane hahaha. I am sure that you will be fine though. I don't think you can over dose on the tane anyways. Since it build in your system you have a lot more in you currently than 120 mg lol. Doing it just once shouldn't make a difference. Just take your one pill tomorrow so you don't run out before you fill your next script! I feel like such a old lady with my pill container but it helps me remember haha. I take mine both at the same time because my derm told me to. I would be sawed if I had to remember to take them twice a day. That might be helpful if you just take them both at the same time. I take mine right in the morning with a piece of toast with peanut butter or something.

Haha, I know! Woops! I don't think I am going to run out before getting my next script, somehow I always have a few days of medication left when I pick up the next month. That's weird that some people's derms tell them to take both pills at the same time. Mine told me that taking them twice a day is better so that there is medication in your system for 24 hours, instead of taking them once and having the medication wear off after 12 hours? I have no idea. Because I was taking them all at once, and then I asked her last time I saw her.

heres to hoping for no breakouts from the pill accident! x

Thanks! That would be awful. 🙁
