Do thank her! Haha I have a 3rd grade picture of me in one.. waa ....

Wouldn't it be weird if in some crazy universe our mothers had to dress us still? Like it was a law?

That would frighten me. saywhat.gif

Lol! My mom likes how I dress, but she'd never wear dresses and heels, etc. I think if she was dressing me I'd be in jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers. Definitely not my style!

Haha that's how my mom is! She never changes her style. I like more of the cute but comfy look. I feel like I wouldn't be able to pull off dresses.

Yeah, my mom just sticks to the same thing. I definitely don't take after her!

I'm sure you could pull off dresses! They're cute and comfy too, you know? :P I love sundresses in the summer. So nice!

Id actually let me mom dress me... I always bring her with me when I go clothes shopping. She has good style, and she actually changes with the trends too.

Taylor you don't think you can pull off a sundress? You looked amazing in your prom dress. If I were you I'd wear dresses all summer long and drive around with my top down. ( top of your car) hahaha

My mom doesn't know anything about trends or designers (except for her designer handbags). Definitely the opposite of me! Lol.

Hey guys! I had a busy, frustrating day at work today so I wasn't able to post much today. :( But here I am! I'm going to try and catch up on everything that I missed.

Taylor - Happy Wednesday!!!! We don't get June bugs here but they sound icky! We get stink bugs though, gahhh they are so frickin' nasty. My jaw is still lookin' nice & zit-filed. I have no idea when that will change, and honestly, I don't even expect it to for quite some time! Accutane + Jaw acne = Ridiculous! crazy.gif I've been hesitant to post anything positive on here, too! Those damn Acne.org gods curse me every time I mention any kind of progress. I don't remember taking the ACT, however, I do remember taking the SATs. They were so awful. I got a 1200, which wasn't good but it wasn't bad. Just average, I guess.

I love to shop! My summer wardrobe consists of jean shorts, and tops like tank tops or nice tops to wear for a night out. I like to wear sundresses, but that's rare for me. I feel more comfortable in shorts. :)

Betsy - WOOOHOOOOOOO you got back into your account!!!! teehee.gifsurprised.gifcool.pnghifive.gifgrinwink.gif

Day 71

So, I figured out that this Monday coming up marks my HALF WAY mark through treatment! Wow. I kind of can't believe I've been taking it for as long as I have been...then again, it does feel like I've been constantly taking these pills and waiting for my moment to be like "HOLY SHIT, I LOVE ACCUTANE, IT'S AMAZING, EVERYONE!" Haha. I've felt that feeling before, and it was amazing. I'm on my way there, I guess.

My stye went away. The stye eye drops must've helped. Amazing. No pain, no itching, no swollen-ness in my eye, no blurred vision. HELL YEAH. However, I experienced one of the worst headaches/migraines today that I have in a while. It was bad. I have no idea what was going on with me today; on top of the headache, I felt exhausted, and dizzy. It was not pleasant at all. The headache was so persistent that I went to my HR office after lunch & asked them if they had any IBUprofen. They didn't, but luckily my coworker did. God, that was not good. I don't know if it was caffeine withdrawal, or what...because I didn't drink coffee in the morning like I normally do. Yikes.

The eczema patches on my hands came back. I picked up some Aveeno eczema cream last night. 13 dollars, so it better friggin' work good. My eczema is looking better today, so that's good!

I took pictures of my face today. The cheek pimple from last week is starting to get smaller and hopefully it'll go away. I developed two sister whiteheads below it though, right next to each other. They're fairly small, so I'm hoping they go away ASAP.

So, I think it's safe to say that I am making progress on this whole journey after comparing pictures from day 58 and today, day 71. Slowly...but at least I'm getting somewhere. smile.png All the marks on my forehead from day 71 are post-acne hyper pigmentation that I'm hoping eventually fades. Don't mind my crazy towel-head. OH, and damn I must be tired today! It's supposed to say day 58 not 68! Woops!

I know I am happy I got my account back too! I was having with drawls hahaha. Seriously Katie I can see a difference with your skin.. For the better too. I need to take some photos and compare them. See if that makes me feel any better. I don't mind the towel head haha you look squeeky clean!

We both need our OMG I LOVE ACCUTANE moments. It will happen, I know it! I think soon too! We are both at our halfway marks now so things will happen soon. I think we both broke out again because of our dosage increases, so now that it is hopefully clearing up and settling down a bit we can start to see those amazing results everyone else is seeing!

?

That is awesome the stye went away so quickly!! That is good news, I hate those things. Did your sister fess up to using your makeup?

I would freak out if I was locked out, too! I love my acne.org family. Hahahaha. :)

Thanks! For the first time I'm like.....wow, hell yeah, it's doing SOMETHING other than making me break the F out. Which is an awesome feeling. I don't mind the two little baby whiteheads, they're manageable. I'm fine with my face right now, it's just the jawline that is bugging me. But I can deal with it! I feel like I may be getting somewhere. I hope I don't jinx myself and take that back in a few days.

I think we broke out from our dose increases as well. Hopefully once our bodies adjust to it, we'll actually start to really make some damn progress on this whole course! We're getting further along, so we're bound to get results! :)

I know! I'm so happy it's gone. I didn't ask her, because I know what her response will be. That's sad, right? Hahaha. But I threw out my old mascara & liquid liner. I'm going to have to tell her when I see her next not to use it. By the time she gets home from work I'm usually in bed.

I got to say I love all you guys too! Its really nice to have somewhere to come and get support. I never realized how important and helpful it would be to have someone in my shoes to talk too. No one else can offer the support you can because you actually understand and know exactly where I am coming from. You really can relate to me. We are a lot alike personality wise and exactly alike skin wise. Right down to the eye brow zit hahaha.

After the crap we have gone through with the jaw, I am sure whiteheads are a welcome sight in comparison. No zits in any form would be a better sight though!

I am like that with my sister too. Its not even worth of it. Just a argument waiting to happen. I have enough of those with her as is. She makes me tired, she never fesses up or backs down. Someone has to act like a grown up. Not always easy though. I have come to the point where I actually have to hide things from my sister. Even my daughter needs to hide her things. She claims her items as well.

This course would be so much harder without support from everyone on this forum! I don't know how the hell I managed to go through three whole months of this on my previous course without a log. I thought that this course would be so much easier to do, but it's proving to be a whole hell of a lot harder on me. We really do have a lot in common with our courses so far and personality-wise, and I reaaaaaallly hope we both can say we're not having breakouts & are clearing up. Oh that would be lovely. rolleyes.gif

I'll definitely take some small whiteheads over large cystic pimples like the ones I have on my jaw. They go away SO much faster. This cystic pimple from nearly one month ago is STILL on my jaw, waiting to someday heal up for good.

Our sisters could be friends! This girl uses my makeup, wears my hoodies, shirts, sandles, and I have even caught her with my UNDIES. Like, really? She's a noodle. eusa_doh.gif

Maybe I should be kind of glad my sister is 4-years-old. She just wants to wear my jewelry and use my nail polish... :P

Katie, your skin is looking good! I definitely notice an improvement. Now if only those annoying jawline pimples would heal! Seriously, I just want to know why you all get jawline acne so much. I wonder why Accutane causes that... Either way, I think you'll be clear soon!

I go see my dermatologist next Wednesday or Thursday I can't remember. I will ask her what is up with the jaw acne, see if it has anything to do with accutane or not. I'm curious as to what she will say. I'm sure she will tell me it has nothing to do with the accutane. It seems to common for it to see a fluke though.

Katie you have caught her in your undies? Hahahahahaha omg that is insane. My sister I would hope would never do that. She would totally borrow my clothes though as a matter of fact she takes my hoodies and claims I gave them to her. Like I would forget giving my favorite hoodie away lol. But if I were to go take her shit I would get my head removed. My sister and I have a ton in common though like we like all the same bands and go to all the same concerts together so we bond alot. Is she your older sister or younger. Mine is older so she tries to bully me around and whatnot.. Drive me insane

I wish I had a sibling closer to my age! My brother is 38.. and I'm 17.. my mom was a very young mom, a year younger than you Betsy! But she did a wonderful job with my brother, and myself :D. Some people do judge her on the ages she had my brother and me.. she had me at 38, but they don't even know her which is dumb. :/

ANYWHO..

My nose is driving me NUTS! It's sooooo dry and bloody and gross on the inside I can feel it and every time I have a sniffle or blow my nose it hurts like hell. I just wanna shove a whole tub of aquaphor up there and leave it there.

She was a year younger than me now? Or a year younger than me when I had my daughter at 17?

People are dumb, judging people and have no idea. Walk in our shoes ya know! Seems your mom did a great job with you!

My nose is super dry too! It's the air conditioning making it worse I swear! I think I do shove a tube up my nose 2 times a day.. Ick. Maybe we could try sleeping with a humidifier on.. That would help.

Oh opps thought you were 18 when you did, no she was 17 too haha.

I don't understand why people judge that kind of thing. Yes it's young but if you do the best you can to raise your kid, there shouldn't be any judgement made, or any judgement even if someone young was a bad mom if you don't know them. People judge my mom a lot for that and they have no idea who she is. It makes me muy enojada! (very mad) :P

Katie, I definitely see a difference!!!! It's overall looking a lot better. :) I'm excited to see where this takes you!

HEY. I WEAR NEON PONCHOS.

omg j/k a million times over. Hahahaha

I like to wear sun dresses in the summer. I despise shorts. I don't think I look that good in them. Seattle summer weather is weird---it can be 50 degrees or 85-90 degrees. You have to have all kinds of outfits, which is annoying.

You should! As fun as sisters can be, when they're close to you in age and take your stuff, it gets to be annoying!

Thanks Rachel! I'm happy with the way my forehead has healed. I really hope my jawline heals soon. I'm going to ask my dermatologist next time I see her why my jaw has broken out so much since starting Accutane.

I see mine next Thursday, too! I'll be sure to ask her why. Maybe she'll have some kind of answer for us, haha.

YES, she had a few pairs of my undies in her clean laundry a few weeks ago. And one of my bras. I'm like, what the heck! I feel kind of bad though...she has a massive cystic pimple above her eyebrow that she showed me last night. She said, "It's weighing down my eyebrow!" It was huge, and apparently she tried popping it but only some fluid came out. Haha, ewww. She said "I need some Accutane." ...for her one pimple.

She's 2 and a half years younger than me, and we have the same taste in clothes, so it's hard for her not take my stuff. I just wish she wouldn't go as far as taking my undies and bras! neutral.gif

Aw, Taylor! That's stupid that people are so judgmental about young moms. Some young moms do a kickass job and I'm sure your mom did as well! My mom was almost 34 when she had me and 37 when she had my sister! There's nothing wrong with being in your 30's either!

Sorry to hear about your nose. 🙁 My nose hasn't been bothering me, thank god. I can't wait til we have normal eyes, lips, and noses. AND SKIN. cool.png

Katie, I definitely see a difference!!!! It's overall looking a lot better. smile.png I'm excited to see where this takes you!

YAY! I'm so glad that it's actually starting to get better. After 71 days, it's about time. I hope it keeps getting better.

Who doesn't love a nice neon poncho? Hahahahaha. tongue.png

I wish I had more sun dresses! I have maybe 4 or 5. The weather in Jersey in the summer is pretty damn hot and humid. I remember last year it was 100 degrees. I felt like dying! It was hard to breathe outside.
