Yeah Yeah if we dont win the shootout im going to blowdart bradford in the neck for his troubles, and maybe Malcom Kelly too if i wasnt so afraid of him.
Anyways I seriously believe in jinxes now because as soon as I mention to someone back home that it was getting better i woke up the next morning with this ginormous lump on my right check. Its rock hard and has a couple white head poking up in one part but i dont dare touch them. The problem is that it sits right on top of my right dimple (yes i have monster dimples and they're apparently "cute" when they're not covered in pus filled lesions) back to the problem. Since its on my dimple it stretches and contracts with my mouth, and when I yawn its equivilent to me basically squeezing the hell out of it. So over today its only get redder, larger, more painful, and overall just more pissed off. To top it all off the bigger it gets the more its affected and the more its affect the more painful it is , and the more painful it is the harder it is for me sleep properly, and the harder it is for me to sleep the more i yawn and the more I yawn the bigger it gets. I feel like Fat Bastard here in a freaking vicious circle. What kills me the most is that its more comfortable for me to frown than to smile and when i try to smile only the left corner of my mouth goes up so it looks like im having a stroke. Grrrr i wanted to show the derm promising results so he wouldn't have a reason to take me off the tane, and now on the eve of the appointment it looks like i have a misplaced cheek implant.
Ranting over its just everytime i recognize my improvement something else comes along and messes it up. Alright now im going to walk a mile away to use the internet bc the internet for my dorm is broken. Here's to magically being clear tomorrow Cheers.
Quote of The Day
"We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature."
Go hug someone you can't stand, and gain two fold. You'll not only lose an enemy, but gain a friend. That one is from me. I'm gone.

Hope you enjoyed our my little photo bonanza, i'll be back on tonight to update you on the derms observations. Laters
Quote of the Day
People will forget what you did. People will forget what you said, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
as promised an update on the derms opinion.
Basically he asked alot of question about my increased "redness" (He never said acne, or cysts, or anything else just redness). He asked me why i didn't stop when it flared up and use the steroid he perscribed incase it got too intense for me, and was surprised i knew so much about the process of Accutane, and my overall knowledge of acne (Due thanks to all of ye at the Org). In the end he decided not to graduate me to 30 mg because he wants to see how i react to another round of 20mg so i accept the verdict and tried to fill my perscription here in SA and not a single walgreens in the this metropolitan area has it. Of course they have 30mg, but not mine. So i'm going to have to wait 2 more days til they stock it. Which will make it a whole week i havent had a dose directly after 2 weeks of half doses. Thats my tale.
It always feels good to be a winner. Even if it means that i have seen entirely too many movies entirely too many times. Anyways that bad area i mentioned in my photo bonanza caught on the edge of my pillow case while i was sleeping and peeled off a giant semi scab semi dried pus thing matted with hair. I woke up and found my pillow case soaked with assumed blood and pus (i cant tell because its dark blue). Now i'm missing a large patch of beard and in its place i have a ridiculously painful open wound that is woefully exposed. What should I do about it? I have covered it in neosporin, but it has filled up with puss under the skin, and it weeps constantly making it hard to scab. I'm sorry to bother you with such gruesome detail, but i want to give you all the info so your advice can be equally informative.
thats weird how your face is so severe yet you dont have really any chest acne. Do you have any back acne?
Oh yeah its great your not popping shit (at least it looks like your not in your pics). Your gonna look like shit for the first few months of accutane no matter what, so you might as well not look like shit for the rest of your life by permanently scarring yourself, the inevitable result of popping.
I do have some intermitant cysts on that back of my shoulders, but like i said before its always been this wierd cycle where the bulk of acne would either be on my face or on my back, and it use to switch back and forth pretty regularly, but since i was taken off minocyline for the first time in 2 years (which is when this whole ordeal began) It has step up shop pretty permanately on my mug. Thanks for all the tips, and I've been meaning to pick up some aloe anyways because i hear it help with the loverly red marks.

The truth will set you free. Let the true you release you from the bonds that acne has shackled you with.

Wow, I'm feeling a bit down about my recent breakout of loads of tiny dots...and by reading this, I see how much I need to keep my positive attitude.
Oh, and Bones is pretty much the only television show I watch. It's wonderful. =)
I'll keep checking back, and I wish you the very best of luck.

Hi RCRanger! I finally had the time to read your original thread and log and you are one of the most creative and funniest writers I've come across in a long time and that includes professional writers. I really admire the way you've dealt with acne and well, you are pretty inspirational guy.
You even have ladies de-lurking!
Regarding your open sore - applying Neosporin is a good idea but I suggest you give your derm a call if it hasn't scabbed over by now. You don't want an infection to set in so it might be a good idea for him to look at it. Better to be safe than sorry. I do hope it is healing by now.
Count me in as another person who will be keeping up with your progess - you're on your way to having a fan club!
Well tanks for all the support peoples, but one thing i dont need is a fan club. Talk about an ego trip that would be almost as bad as writing about myself everyday ..... whoops. Anyways my writing is pretty much a frankenstein of professional writers. Especially Douglas Adams where most of my humor is based from. Also Phillip Jose Farmer, and Orson Scott Card, Phillip pullman all taught me how to dream of worlds beyond the tangible. Mother teresa and marianne williamson inspired me to inspire others. I could go on and on, but i wont bc you would be bored.
I know im going to hate myself for saying this due to my latest string of jinxing myself but my face is looking dandy, cysts are shrinking up (except for my beard ones they seem to like it there), and my open wound is scabbing over finally. I've decided that no matter what the acne is doing before i come back to school after christmas break to cut my hair really short and shave (please God let me be able to shave without killing myself). Hopefully ill be clear and i'll show up and nobody will recognize me. Well the people from highschool that are here will finally recognize me, but they're cheaters. I will miss the twiddling of the beard and the homegrown sunvisor of overgrown bangs though.
Quote of the Day
This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good.
The fan club reference was just a lame attempt at humor - I'm not as good of a writer as you RC unfortunately.
It sounds like the Accutane is starting to kick in. I've been on it twice and it will get better and better each month. Seeing those cysts go down is a wonderful thing.
I don't find discussing authors boring at all as I love to read and I think I will pick up a few of these authors' works the next time I place an order at Amazon. Thanks for the list.
YES a reader, I've always been a bookworm. Here is some more details:
Mother Teresa - A Simple Path (amazing book about humilty, and service)
Marianne Williamson - A Return To Love (Just an all around beautiul and deep book, and it has one of my favorite quotes of all time in it )
Douglas Adams - Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy - The funniest zaniest most influential book I've ever read, at least for me. My writing style is almost completely derived from this series, and if you ever met me in person you would think i was channeling the late Mr. Adams, because my humor, my wierd thought processes and my speech are modeled after these books.
Phillip Pullman - His Dark Materials Series (I dont even know how to adequately describe this story, but only because i dont wish to do a disservice to it. It touches on everything from parallel universes, and dark matter to death, life, the soul, and God. Oh and it has basically everything else you could think of in between. You must read this series i command you. Not really but i HIGHLY suggest it. and DO NOT go see the movie that is coming out in December without reading the books first, that would be a tragedy.)
Orson Scott Card - Enders Game Series (beautiful look into growing up, combat, communication, and the understanding/destruction of other cultures through the eyes of a pre-teen Genius, with aliens, explosions, and other great sci fi features. Probably my favorite Sci-Fi series)
Phillip Jose Farmer - Riverworld Series, World of Teirs series (these are outstanding well researched sci-fi/historical fantasy, For Riverworld if you enjoy history than this is for you, it has Mark Twain, Richard Burton, King John, and Cyrano De Bergnac, and many many more; For World of Teirs if you like to entertain the idea of parallel universes this is for you, but i suggest Riverworld first to get used to his style)
Stephen King - The Dark Tower Series, Dreamcatcher, Different Seasons, and many more (Oh you've heard of him, yes he's quite good isnt he. But seriously Dark tower Series spans like 20 years, and King calls it his Magnus Opus, and i wont disagree with him. The fact that the main character is a complete BA and is based on Clint Eastwoods man with no name, and the whole book springs from a Robert Browning poem, and has cameos from countless other King works. Also you know a series is good when you care enough to scream NOOOOOO and throw through a window when you finish it. I speak from experience lol. Different Seasons has spawned some of King's best movie crossover. Shawshank Redemption, and Stand By Me anyone, and if you dont know the movies im talking about you should be ashamed of yourself. He's an amazing writer, and you should basically grab anything he writes)
Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt - Freakonomics (This is a recent edition but it really offers some great insight and its funny. It also asks you to break a little convention and to question what you are told, and to take control of your world. Great Read.)
An up and comer is David Eggers - Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius, You Shall Know Our Velocity, How We Are Hungry (Its growing fast on me, but i wont offer an opinion till i read more)
Finally i dont know anything else by this author but Duncan Glen - I Lucifer (by far the funniest A.D.D. devil narrative you will read. Its difficult to read because its very Tangental, but very satisfying when you finish)
Well there it is I hope you weren't terribly bored by this.
Quote of the Day
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
Some skinny fellow named Gandhi said that, I dont know if you've heard of him or not. LATERS
Good morning good morning my friends, I just slept through my first two classes of the day and it was GLORIOUS. Anyways my face feels pretty good (at least as good as it can whilst riddled with cysts) Except for this one new bugger on my neck and he is deeeeeeep, like the kind i usually only get on my back or shoulders. Its like theres a little fairy version of late 80s Mike Tyson giving me a one two combo whenever i turn my neck. Hopefully my anti inflammatory regimen will take the edge off a bit, so fingers crossed. Well im off to lunch i hope everyone is feeling swell today, but not swollen.
Oh and yes my Longhorn were disappointing, and the game coming up this saturday scares me, but i bleed burnt orange so i must say with all my heart GO HORNS WOOT WOOT SHOW THOSE SOONERS HOW THE LONE STAR STATE ROLLS! And Kraven I guaruntee you wont get through those last five games of yalls season unscathed which is he first time you will have played somebody decent besides washington.
Quote of the Day
You suppose you are the trouble
But you are the cure
You suppose that you are the lock on the door
But you are the key that opens it
It's too bad that you want to be someone else
You don't see your own face, your own beauty
Yet, no face is more beautiful than yours.
Amen

Way to go, RC!
By the way, if you like humor, I really recommend the author Christopher Moore!
I read Stephen King and Christopher on the side for the contrast. Moore does horror comedy. He's pretty awesome. I especially like his book Lamb, which is the story of Christ told from the perspective of his childhood friend Biff.
Thanks for the recommend Jeeen i will most definitely check it out seeing as it combines my two of my favorite things humor and religion. Well i woke up early to get some last minute review in before my Geology test, and i'm waiting my customary 30 mins for the redness to go down after showering washing and cetaphiling my face before i hit the cafeteria for Coffee and Rice Crispies. Im starting an aloe "mask" for my nights to see if i can get a little redness reduction. I had stopped using cetaphil overnight because i would always wake up with whiteheads, but just washing my face and going to bed was making wake up looking like the crypt keeper, so this new aloe regimen (100% aloe vera gel) should double as over night moisturizer and redness reducer and even after only 1 night i'm loving how much more refeshing it feels. Very good sign.
Ahh yes you're a boomer sooner fan Brandy, well we will have to see how the game turns out on saturday, and im just going to be civilized right now *creepily sticks pins into malcom kelly and sam bradford voodoo dolls*. May the best team win, and I'll drink a cream soda for you (I have a tradition for as long as i can remember to drink a 6 pack of Glass Bottled IBC Cream Soda during every Red River Shootout. This will be my first soda since May, but i dont think it will hurt)
Quote of the Day
All men and women are born, live suffer and die; what distinguishes us one from another is our dreams, whether they be dreams about worldly or unworldly things, and what we do to make them come about... We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents. We do not choose our historical epoch, the country of our birth, or the immediate circumstances of our upbringing. We do not, most of us, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we live.
We didn't choose to have acne, but we CAN choose to persevere inspite of it. What do you choose?
