Day #55:

Well I got a chin pimple today, seems to be fair-sized...I'm not too worried about it though because it's the first pimple I've gotten in almost three weeks. I'm actually doing an experiment with the Regimen right now where I only apply BP at night because I feel like I irritate my skin way too much with twice a day, it's been getting extra red and irritated so I'm gonna see if I can manage only applying BP at night since I've seen some guys on the site that have lots of success with that. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Only one pimple in three weeks - that's pretty amazing! Hopefully using BP once a day does work well for you and reduces irritation - good luck :)

Sounds like there has been so much improvement for you. That's great!! Let us know how the once a day BP routine goes. I am really interested if this works for a lot of people because I want to be able to do the same. I am already doing one pump of BP as supposed to the 2 pumps in the AM and PM so maybe I might already be stretching it if I only did it once a day.

Yeah I've had a great experience so far! Def better than 90% of the other stuff I've tried over the years...and SO much better than ineffective antibiotics that just stop working after awhile. Glad you're joining the Regimen team, Lily :P

Thanks! I'm kinda at a level right now where I have some days to stay at home if I do breakout, and I figure what the hell, it's worth a try just applying BP nightly only and worst case scenario if my skin doesn't do well with it I can just switch back to twice a day. I'm probably gonna update more often during this week so that I can kinda track my own progress with the "nightly only" BP :P

Day 57:

Quick update for you guys. Been using BP nightly only for the last few days, nothing else about my Regimen has changed, and no breakouts right now. All I'm dealing with is that chin pimple from a few days ago and the AHA has made it SOOOO tiny. It felt like it would be one of those dreaded chin cysts I usually get but the AHA has shrunk it down into a tiny little whitehead, so I'm cool with that. :P Nothing much else to report. Still dealing with some redness, but that's to be expected. Everyone keep on truckin' and good luck!

Flagg, you are one lucky dude! Your regimen experience has been my envy razz.gif But seriously, i'm soooooo happy for ya! If once a day is all you need, more power to ya. How are you liking AHA? Did it make you breakout any? I started it tonight and it didn't burn but i guess i'll have to wait and see if it makes things worse (hoping it doesn't)

By the way, did you see Under the Dome yet? I love it! I think this will be on point and almost or even better than Rose Red (another favorite mini series of mine)

lol thanks sasch! There have definitely been some rough patches along the way but I have been sailing pretty smooth these past few weeks! I hope it lasts, lol. There's a part of me that is always like "it's only a matter of time before I breakout!" but I've been trying to shut that little panic voice out because the mirror doesn't lie, my skin is just doing much, much better. I'm actually really liking the AHA! It hasn't broken me out at all, but I've been using it for quite awhile now, several weeks. I use it mainly to spot treat with and it is GREAT about shrinking active stuff down quickly. I've never had in real problems with it burning my skin, I think if anything what gives me a stinging/burning sensation is applying moisturizer after everything else, but that feeling doesn't last long. I hope the AHA works well for you!

I actually watched the first episode of Under The Dome and I loved it, been scrambling to find a replay of episode 2 though because I missed it. :P I think it's a great show, I'll def be keeping up with it this summer. I feel like a tv series is the perfect medium for a King novel because when they try to cram one of his huge novels into a movie it rarely works...just too much content to work with there! :P I'd be stoked as hell if they did a modern tv series version of The Stand.

Day # 60:

Hey guys and girls! I hope everyone is doing well today. No new breakouts to report, BP once a day seems to be working fine for me so far. I wanted to share some before & after pictures with you guys. I don't have many recent before pictures because I hated taking them, but I have an older pic from a few years ago that is a pretty accurate representation of what my skin can look like when it gets bad. Soooo...here we go! tongue.png

OldSkin2_zps3900211a.jpg

So this is a pic of my skin from a few years ago (as I said don't have many recent bad skin pics because I hated taking them tongue.png) but this is what my skin can look like when it gets bad, it would look like this (just imagine a few extra big chin cysts too and you have a good idea of the state of my skin before the Regimen). My problem areas have always been forehead, temple, and chin...I don't get much on my cheeks.

NewMe_zpsa15ed6ef.jpg

This is a picture of my skin that I took today after having been on the Regimen for a little over two months. I can honestly say that I'm happy with my skin right now. I follow the Regimen to the letter and the only thing I've changed is I apply BP only at night because it reduces irritation/redness for me and I still don't breakout. I'm doing nothing else for my skin but Dan's Regimen...I've made no major diet changes...the only supplement of any kind I take is a little probiotic tablet at night, and that's it. Just wanted to share this with you guys and anyone starting the Regimen right now...there is hope! This is a treatment that actually WORKS.

Day #65:

Little update for you guys, I'm kinda losing track of the number of days on this log, haha. :P No new pimples at all here. I did have a little patch of redness appear on my temple area so I'm reducing the amount of BP I apply there and it seems to be doing the trick, wasn't a pimple just a bit of irritated skin. Otherwise smooth sailing. Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer!

The speed with which you saw results is pretty amazing. I'm really hoping it works that fast for me! I mean, I've been on it before, and I've used BP on and off for a while, so I'm hoping this shortens my adjustment period? Fingers crossed!

Also, it's awesome that you could get away with using it only once a day.

EDIT: So when you do it only nightly, which moisturizer do you use? Still the Neutrogena one, or a different one?

I hope it does too! My skin was pretty cruddy in the first few weeks but after about a month and a half in I started to notice I wasn't getting much new stuff, so I'm crossing my fingers for you too that you'll have the same positive experience!

Well the Neutrogena is my AM moisturizer because it's light and still seems to hydrate well but for the PM I use Cetaphil + jojoba oil. Cetaphil is too gloopy and oily for me to use during the day but it's fine at night when I'm just going to bed anyways and I usually wake up with pretty smooth skin as a result of using it.

Day #17:

Sup my Regimen pals! Doing pretty well today. Skin actually seems to be doing REALLY good in terms of texture and the lack of redness, like I've seen so much improvement in my cheeks and chin, it's pretty crazy. My only main issue right now? Had a big whopper of a pimple appear in the center of my forehead...If it wasn't attached to me I would KILL IT WITH FIRE :P But that seems to be the only active I have right now. I knew something was going on there because it started as a clogged pore and then advanced overnight. I'm still feeling really good though even though I have this one major active, one active compared to a shitload of actives is a major improvement any way you look at it, haha. Here are some progress pics for you guys. Sorry that I'm shirtless in one of them lol :P I take most of my progress pics after I shower when I'm getting dressed for work.

IMG_20130521_202735_zps401d8b2e.jpg

This one is from yesterday, I was feeling great about my skin because I took this pic at just a normal distance from the mirror and honestly I don't think you can even tell that I have much of anything wrong with my skin, can barely even see my hyper-pigmentation marks so I was stoked about that.

IMG_20130523_224845_zps6222f2c4.jpg

This one is from today. Note my lack of enthused expression at seeing the big one on my forehead, haha :P

Anyways, hope you guys are doing good and I'm wishing you all well.

Wow, your skin looks amazing! I didn't even notice the spot until you said about it! Keep it up!

Day #71:

Just a random general update for you guys...I have my job interview early in the morning tomorrow and I don't think I'm gonna get any sleep at all tonight. :P I've been on a sleep schedule where I wake up like mid-afternoon for awhile because I've been helping my dad with his caretaker position at a little ranch these past few months, and it's damn near impossible to trick my body into going to bed early to wake up early cuz I'm used to going to bed super late and sleeping in. Anyone else ever have this issue? Ugh, lol...interview will prolly only take like 10 to 15 minutes tho so it's no biggie, I'll catch up on my zzzzs when I get home. Really hoping I land this job!

I don't have much to report skin-wise...I did get one new pimple but it's below my beard line where I don't always apply BP (I sometimes just let a bit of five o'clock shadow facial hair grow for a few days) it turned to a whitehead and now it's healing nicely.

Day #72:

Well I think the interview went pretty well today, it was with four of my old supervisors and the new director of security so that was a bit overwhelming, kinda felt like being in front of a firing squad, lol...but I think I did okay. I hope I hear back but even if I don't I'm still applying for a bunch of different jobs, don't wanna put all my eggs in one basket just in case.

Skin update: Not much going on. I need to shave really bad but I forgot to get a new pack of razors today, gotta make that a priority tomor. I got a little pimple on my neck but I won't amount to much.

Also just wanted to share a random pic with you guys that I took a few days ago, I finally got my hair cut tongue.png Didn't wanna go too short so I just got the bulk of it lopped off and kept like a medium length.

Wishing you the best, Lily! I'm sure you'll find something soon. It's tough almost everywhere right now with so much economic downturn in the world.

I wish I had your skin... It's so clear... smile.png

It'll be a matter of time before your skin gets cleared up too...I'm pulling for you! :)

Thanks much! it's taking me a little while to get used to it but I'm liking it so far too :P

Day #78:

Sorry I haven't been updating lately guys, just been busy as hell and haven't been around much. So little update on that job I'm trying to get: I was offered the job but it's contingent on me passing a drug test and a background check. I did all of that this past friday and just waiting to hear back now, I'm stressing about the background check because even though my criminal record is 100% clean and there's nothing I need to really worry about I know background checks these days nitpick every little thing and I think I might have gotten the dates wrong on one of my old jobs in the work history section, but it's whatever and I can't change it now so not worth stressing about. I'll just be glad when I get either a definitive "YES you have the job" or a "NO you don't have the job" just so I can relax and either keep looking or start working. You gotta really jump through hoops to get any kind of job these days! :P

Skin-wise I'm still doing great. BP has become a permanent PM only application for me and I haven't broken out at all on my face since making that switch. For anyone considering switching to a BP "once a day" schedule my advice to to you is wait until you feel your skin is calm and you're not getting new stuff and ease your way from twice a day to once a day (if twice a day is too irritating for you) that's what I did and the results have been all I could hope for since doing that.

I have gotten a little irritated redness on my nose so I'm gonna decrease the amount of BP I apply there and it should go away in no time, had the same issue with my temples for awhile and decreasing the BP on those areas cleared it right up. Nothing much else to report, things are going well. Wishing you all well with your own journeys to clear skin!

Thank you both! Really means a lot. smile.png
