Hello, I like anyone who has acne or had acne. Have been trying to cure my skin from everyday breakouts for the longest.

I had been on Dan's regimen for almost a year and a half. But the dryness became so much that I would breakout from the dryness.

Six weeks ago, I decided to go to the my dermatologist to see if he can prescribe me something that wouldn't dry my skin as much.

I was put on Tazorac 0.5%. Tazorac worked for me only the 1st week. After that I was getting 10-15 Pimples a day not counting the ones all over my body.

After 6 weeks, I went back and he told me the cream was too strong. I wish I had gone back sooner so he could tell me this.

Then he put me on Clindamycin phosphate gel and benzoyl peroxide 5%. It made me breakout less then the Tazorac but I was still getting at least 3-5 pimples a day.

Desperate and trying to remeber something that had worked for me in the past. I remebered I used to use Acne Free Repair Lotion in Highschool.

To embaressed to go to the store to buy the pack. I went on Amazon and ordered 2 Acne Free repair lotion bottles.

Today it arrived in the mail. Hopefully it's still the same from back in the day and nothing has changed.

1. I am hoping it stop my everyday breakouts.

2. I am hoping the dryness decreases.

3. I hope my cetaphil and joboba oil don't interfere with the repair lotion.

I'll post tomarrow how it goes.

Today I woke up and immediately went to see myself in the mirror. My pimples had diminished a lot in size. And I noticed that I had no new pimples.

The acnefree repair lotion still works on my skin. I feel my skin like a light dryness but no flakes. I blame the dryness from past medications.

I decided to put joboba oil when im at home and I feel my skin kind of dry to help restore moisture into it.

My skin has been recovering from the dryness of using 2 pumps of bp for almost a year and a half.

I'll keep you posted.

Today I woke up and my pimples have continued to diminised. I also had no new pimples forming neither on my face, neck, chest or back.

Also my dryness has decreased, I been putting joboba oil on whenever I feel the joboba oil has dryed up.

I'll keep you guys posted.

My face is completely clear of the huge breakout I had from tazorac and Clindamycin phosphate gel. I still have a lot of red marks on my face, but im not worried about that because they've faded before it justs takes time.

I know if I keep doing the same thing everyday those marks will be gone. The joboba oil is the main thing that helps me not have dry skin. I try to put it as much during the day and night when im home and not in public.

Tomarrow I'll post my full regimen and tell you how I prevent the shinyness from the cetaphl and joboboa oil.

Hey guys, It's been only 4 days and my skin looks super good. My dad even asked me if that's a new cream im using. He noticed the dramatic change he would see me for weeks with breakouts since I was on tazorac. I should of used this cream my whole life. Im not going to have regrets im just glad I found something that works for me.

Products:

Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion

Acne Free Repair Lotion

Dans Joboba Oil

Below is my current regimen:

No cleanser.

Shower. Then put on 2 pumps of cetaphil on eye lids and eye area. 1 pump of cetaphil under each armpit.

Then I put the acnefree repair lotion on my face and my back and the small part of my chest that needs it.

I noticed if I put the repair lotion first before the cetaphil on eyes or armpits it ends up irritating me greatly and those parts end up drying a lot and hurting.

Then I wait 5-10mins the repair lotions drys super quick. And I put 2 pumps of cetaphil with 30 drops of joboboa oil on my face.

6 pumps of cetaphil with 30 drops of joboba oil on my back. And last 6 pumps of cetaphil with 30 drops of joboba oil on my chest.

I'll post more about my regimen in a week. I want to let you absorb this first. I came up with this through trial and error and I've tested all the possible numbers of pumps and joboba oil drops for over a year while using dans bp.

@ Faith in Butterflys

Thank you, I know different things work for different people. I've tried almost everything and couldn't find anything.

I'm still putting on my cream twice a day, and now it's not a huge issue for me. It feels good to not have to worry what I look like in the mirror before deciding if I should go out with my friends. I don't feel like I got to avoid there calls no more. It really opens a lot of opportunities that I shut myself out from.

Is your face completely clear now or do you still have like scarring?

Yeah I understand you on that as I haven't gone out for a whole year and I don't really talk to anyone. It must feel great, happy for you :)

@Faith In Butterflies

My face back and chest are clear of active pimples, but I still have red spots that are fading on my face and back everyday. Compared to how I looked before its a dramatic change. As for my scars there very little and hardly noticeable the repair lotion just like dans bp seems to cover them up.

I keep using it everyday, because I know how my skin is. It will breakout if I stop. Hopefully in a couple months of using the repair lotion my skin will have no more breakouts. But for now im happy with the results. Everything else acne scars acne redness doesn't bother me. Knowing the long journey I came from they feel little.

Also the repair lotion only works when I used it twice a day. If I use it only once a day I wake up with a breakout. I also do my regimen within 12 hrs to avoid excessive dryness or using the repair lotion to early.

That's awesome!! I was using Acne Free and it was sorta working for me but didn't completely clear up my face and I used it for about 3 months, I think?

Yes redness will eventually fade, don't even worry about that! I heard lemon juice is good for red marks and toothpick marks too, as well as ice, I can tell you ice is good cause I've used it before and it helped a little with scarring. Lemon juice, idk but you can look at reviews and what people say have worked for them.

Yeah I think benzoyl peroxide works best if done twice a day.

@ Faith In Butterflies

I only use the repair lotion from Acne Free. The cleanser and sacilyic acid break me out. I dont use a cleanser in my regimen because I've tried a lot of cleansers and they break me out. So I took it out of the regimen early on when I was doing my trial and error about 2 years ago.

What I do is when I shower I wash my face back and chest. I can feel the moisturizor left overs fall down from my skin, thats good enough of a cleanse for me.

Also I forgot to add, cetaphila and joboboa oil give my face a shinyness. I use to get comment from family members and friends telling me I look like im sweaty.

I soon found CVS Oilpads, and I use them before I go out. I put two on my forehead 1 on each cheek, and 1 on my chin. I leave it on for about a min or until the sheet is fully absorbed and theres no more oil on my skin. Then I go on with my day.

Also shampoo and soap break me out. Through trial and error I learned this. Everytime I shampoo my back gets a lot a lot of pimples and my face breaks out to. Im starting to use joboboa oil on my hair to clean it and to prevent dandruff. I really noticed this helps with dandruff. Like its a instant miracle for dandruff.

Yeah it might just be the cleansers you've used had harsh ingredients. It takes a while to find a good one but I find the one on the Regimen is very gentle and my face feels clean afterwards.

Oil is hard to control, I usually just use napkins or toilet paper lol. When I'm in public I use paper towels.

Thanks for telling me about the dandruff, I might start using jojoba oil on my hair haha my hair is oily and gets dandruff a lot of the time

Cool

So far everything has been going smooth. I also wanted to share that I change my cetaphil bottle every week.

About a year or 2 ago, when I was first starting dans regimen. I noticed that around the 8th or 9th day of using the regimen I would breakout.

So I would use to cetaphil bottle up to the 7th day and then buy a new one. This stopped the breakouts I would get on the 8th or 9th day.

For some reason when I get to that level in the bottle that happens.

I stocked the bottle incase. And now I have found a use for them. What I do is I used to old cetaphil bottle to put 2 pumps on my eyes and 2 pumps on my arm pits.

That way I dont use up the new bottle so fast. Imagine im using 2 pumps for the face, 6 pumps back and 6 pumps chest twice a day.

Also I noticed this use to happen to me with the dans bp too. I would get to a certain level on the bottle and I would have to change it.

I dont know if this happens to other people with there moisturizors or benzoyl perxoide. But im just sharing from experience thats just how my skin acts.

Why did you stop using the Regimen?

I was using dans bp for about 1 year and a half. 2 pumps a day on my face. I started to go off it and I didn't moisturize so my skin became really dry.

Then when I would try to use dans bp and cetaphil moisturizor I would get flaky skin. And the flakyness would break me out.I tried every possible way to stop the flakyness but I couldnt.

So I went to the derm to try to get less strong acne creams but nothing worked. Thats when I remebered about the acne free repair lotion I used in highschool. I remebered how little I needed to use and that the small amount should avoid me from getting flakes. And after testing it on my skin I was worried in a couple days the flakes would come. But its been more then 15 days and they hvnt came back.

Maybe the cleanser wasn't for you? It could be a lot of diff factors.

It's great that you found something that cleared your skin though, hope that it will keep you clear :)
