Day #33:

Had a pretty fun day today, went to the flea market and just browsed around and enjoyed the nice weather. Skin continues to do well. I do have a new little whitehead at the corner of my mouth but I don't even really count those because they're sooo easy to manage and not anything like that big stuff that drives me crazy. Other than that my skin is doing really good! I think I might be at that phase where I'm close to getting clear for good, and I hope so.

Anyways, you guys take care and keep going strong!

Thank you, everyone! smile.png

Day #34 (5 weeks):

Still no major complaints to speak of. I have one or two new pimples, but they're tiny little whitehead pimples and very manageable compared to what I used to get. One is near my temple and the other is at the corner of my mouth. Otherwise skin is still in good shape, been using the AHA for dark marks and improvements are coming very slowly but surely. I'd write more but I'm very tired, long day lol.

Let's keep at it, guys and girls.

Day #35:

Woke up with some redness beneath my eyes today and I don't understand what's causing it cuz I don't put any BP or moisturizer around my eyes, but as I'm typing this right now it faded away during the day. I'm gonna change my pillow cases daily from now on because I think maybe some BP from the pillow case is rubbing into my eyes or something. Otherwise skin is in good shape, only have one bigger active right now at the corner of my mouth...and one or two tiny whiteheads.

Day #36:

Had a bit of a bad skin day today. I had a brand new pimple form over-top an old scar on my chin, fairly big...in that same problem area of mine. It's just frustrating as hell because I only had one active prior to that and I feel like with the length of time I've been on the Regimen I shouldn't be seeing big new stuff. To be really honest it pissed me off so bad I wanted to drive my fuckin' fist through the wall...(lol I need to work on my anger issues) but sometimes when I see a new bigger pimple forming it just makes me crazy with rage even though there's nothing I can do about it. Skin is looking a little blotchy today as well which annoys me.

I was laid off from my job about a month or two ago and I'm getting so tired of sitting at home every day and doing the same mundane shit every day because the isolation is not good for me and I'm feeling so damn hopeless all the time...I'm going to focus ALL of my efforts on sending out job applications tomor because I need a new job ASAP. I'm not even picky at this point, just something to get me out of the house...I've reached the point where I don't even care that I still have active acne, I'm prolly always gonna have at least some active acne and I still need to get out into the world and live my life.

Sorry for the rant.

Day #37:

Doing MUCH better today. Had one of those bad skin days yesterday that just makes your blood boil with anxiety & frustration...I think we all have those sometimes :P Today I'm feeling calm and less upset by the little breakout I have, after all it is LITTLE. I have a two new pimples on my chin, and they're fair-sized whiteheads but they should go away quickly. Skin looks good otherwise...think I might get a haircut soon as a little change of pace for summer, probably not something super short but maybe a medium length cut.

Hope you guys had a great day!

Thanks so much, it's definitely been a rocky road but there have been tons of improvements along the way...I'm sure you will see great improvements too! :)

haha it's very likely!

Day #38:

Very productive day today. I went to one of my favorite old workplaces (security officer at a casino) and I filled out a rehire form to try and get my old job back. I love the people that work there, worked there for about four years...and the pay is really good and the hours are AWESOME. Cross your fingers for me guys because I hope I can get rehired! It comes down to a Human Resources decision now. I have a friend who started working in HR so she is pulling some strings for me ;) And even if I don't get this job back, I'm gonna hunt and hunt until I get some kind of decent job, won't be satisfied until I'm back out in the world and working and living my life just like anybody else. I'm tired of isolating myself and spending way too much time at home because it's unhealthy and it just forces me to go deeper and deeper in my headspace/skin obsession.

Skin update: Skin is doing pretty great. That little breakout on my chin is clearing up nicely, just a two little whiteheads really. Otherwise nothing new has popped up.

You guys take care and wish you well!

Big step! Good for you getting yourself back out there. It is really cool to watch your confidence grow just from the start of this log. Congratulations on having nearly clear skin and Im very happy that you are getting back into the world. Someone as kind as you should be around as many people as possible and spread your positivity around :)

Randall, keeping my fingers crossed for you. I know how important it is to be around other people and have a purpose outside of yourself (been working steady since 2005). If its meant to be, it will be.

Glad that your skin is doing well too! Yay for progress

lol thanks, you're very sweet! I've definitely reached a point where I just wanna get myself out there again...and it'd be cool to have my old job back.

Appreciate it, Sasch! That's awesome that you've been working since 2005, what do you do for work if you don't mind me asking? Hope you continue to see improvements too!

Day #39:

Still doing well. That little breakout on my chin continues to clear up and heal and I don't have any new breakouts right now. Skin has been getting a little dry in certain areas of my face but I'm making sure to keep it moisturized. That's about all that's going on right now!

Day #40:

I had some little dead skin flakes sitting on my face today and I just started to notice them, so I've introduced St Ives apricot scrub into my Regimen so I can exfoliate with that once a week or so. I know Dan doesn't recommend scrubs but I've seen that some of the most successful/clear Regimen users on this site use this to exfoliate with and have no issues with it and I just don't like the idea of the flake staying there on my face so I figure I'll try it out.

No new breakouts today except one pimple below my beard line where I didn't apply BP. I shaved tonight so hopefully I'll get no new breakouts, it seems after a shave I get new stuff...let's hope I'm far enough into the Regimen to prevent that now.

Anyways, have a good one folks!

Day #41 (6 weeks):

6 week mark! No new breakouts at all...and that's awesome, but the negative to that is I'm dealing with some dry skin issues right now. I don't technically use a moisturizer in the AM (aside from just jojoba oil) so I think that's playing into the dryness, so I'm looking to get a light daytime moisturizer. I don't want something really gloopy and oily like my nightly Cetaphil moisturizer. I'm thinking about looking into the Clinique gels, but can anyone recommend a light moisturizer that I can just pick up at a store like Walmart or a pharmacy? My girlfriend recommended a really good one but she got it when it was on sale online and it's pretty expensive now.

Note: I wear a light BB cream almost every day to even out my skin tone and negate redness, and it's starting to get a bit flaky throughout the day so that's why I'm looking for a good daily moisturizer.

Anyways, hope everyone is having a good day!

Day #42:

No breakouts! Have I reached the stage where I don't break out anymore? I dunno but I hope so! :P I picked up a lightweight Neutrogena moisturizer today for combination skin (oily & dry) as an AM moisturizer so I'm excited to try that out tomorrow to see if it'll keep my dryness at bay. It has AMAZING reviews on this site for being non-greasy and really light and hydrating. That's pretty much all...had a nice relaxing day off today, went and saw The Purge with the girlfriend...good movie! I'm a horror nut though so I'm biased. :P

Day #44:

Hey guys, I've decided I'm not going to be updating this as often as I used to, and instead of keeping a daily log I'll try to check in once every few days. The reasoning for that? I'm just...not breaking out. Like at all :P Pimples just do not seem to be able to survive on my face anymore while using the Regimen, and this is AWESOME and I can only hope that it continues this way. Only a month in and I'm already having days and days of no breakouts (bear in mind before the Regimen I'd get at least one new pimple EVERY day)

The one big update I wanted to give here: I think I've finally found the perfect balance to get this dry skin under control! Been using a lightweight Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer as AM moisturizer and it seems perfect for my skin because it doesn't make it oily and it hydrates really well. I tried Cetaphil as my AM moisturizer when I first started the Regimen and that was a NIGHTMARE...I looked like an oil slick :P So my updated Regimen is Neutrogena moisturizer for the AM and Cetaphil for the PM, and it's working out great so far.

To anyone who is struggling....stick with it, guys! You're gonna be happy that you did when you start waking up with no new pimples, it's such a good feeling. Good luck my Regimen friends. :)

Day #48:

No breakouts! Woo, so pleasantly surprised by that...it's been days and days since I've had any kind of pimple at all on my face. I've got my dry skin pretty well under control too, so that's good. Update on the job: I got an email back from HR today and they said I'm eligible for rehire and I can apply for any position I want! Great news and I applied for both a full time and a part time security position, I'd be happy to get either of them. Just want to thank all of you guys that wished me luck with that. :)

Also, a question here (I posted a thread about this but got no replies): Can any longtime Regimen users help me out with this question...sometimes I get a bit of redness directly beneath my eye (sometimes it's both eyes, sometimes just one) the best way I can describe it would be it looks like I got punched. My girlfriend mentioned that I must be involved in a secret Fight Club, haha...but I seem to get this some days just at random, sometimes after I apply BP or sometimes when I wake up. I don't get BP ANYWHERE around my eyes, I'm very careful about that...and I don't get moisturizer around my eyes either.

I'd really appreciate if anyone could give me some insight into what might be causing it? Don't get me wrong, I'll take this over acne ANY day of the week...I'm just trying to figure out why it's happening.

Anyways, good luck guys, wishing you all well.

Thanks Faith! lol I still can't believe it myself, I'm expecting breakouts still but I just haven't had any, I guess I've reached the point in the Regimen where things just keep on improving and you don't get much more active stuff. I'm sure you will get to that point soon because you've been super consistent with the Regimen, only a matter of time now! and don't even worry haha I won't be forgetting you guys, your support helped me so much and I'm still gonna be around to support you guys every step of the way. :)
