That's great! You still look good no matter if you have acne or not
, have you noticed that your face gets red from using BP? I read someone else's regimen log, and she said that it cleared her face up completely but she hated how her face was always red from it and she stopped. But then she got acne again and now she's back on the regimen lol. Is your face more red than normal from the regimen?
Well it used to be in the first three weeks of starting the regimen because my face was still getting used to the insane amount of bp that I was using twice a day, but after about a three weeks there was no more redness at all. In this last few weeks I have actually went from using two pumps of bp to less than 1/2 pump, which is great because i don't like using so much anyway.
Thanks for commenting!
Day 78 Update:
Nothing new everyone. I still have many red spots I am working to get rid of, but other then that my skin looks pretty darn good haha.
Thanks for the shout out! I have a question. Does your face getting really itchy still? I'm starting my 10th week and I'm finding that my face is still sensitive and has an itch to it.
Nope not at all! What is in your skin care regimen? It might be makeup or another product that you are using ?
All my itching stopped after the third week or so.
My skin care is just the regimen products with AHA and Jojoba oil. My skin is very dry and still itchy. I don't wear foundation. I only wear eye makeup. Maybe Dan's moisturizer isn't cutting it, but I can't use the Cetaphil. Makes my face turn very red and burns very bad that takes a few days to recover. I guess we all react differently to the regimen. o-0

Well I am only using maybe 1/2 a pump of BP now. I was previously using about 2 1/2. It still works the same. How much are you using now? You should consider decreasing the BP quantity. I have not gotten any pimples even after decreasing so it might be worth a try 🙂

I think you're right. I'm still using a full finger length of BP twice a day. I'll start reducing it today. Thanks for pointing that out 😀

Sure thing 🙂 Anything to help a fellow "former" acne sufferer lol!
Day 81 Update:
I think I might have one super super tiny pimple, but it is so small I cannot really tell haha. It is the size of a grain of sand lol¦.
Still trying to fade those spots as well¦I purchased 14% AHA wipes to help speed things up a little faster! I will let you know how that goes!
Later!
Your optimism is really contagious
I hope your skin clears real fast!
You gotta stay positive to heal your mind and your skin 🙂
Day 83 Update:
Now I have two super duper small pimples. I think I have to get passed the four month mark before I stay consistently clear just like a lot of people that have been on the regimen. 🙂 Looking forward to it!
HOORAY TO KICKING ACNE OUT OF MY FACE lol!
I think you're right about the four month mark. Right after the BP message you responded to, I got a painful pimple by my lip. I thought I had a tooth ache it hurt so bad. But then I looked in the mirror.. LOL It was funny and almost disheartening. It's almost gone, and it formed on Tuesday, so the BP is still working well. Those little guys you got should be gone either by tomorrow or the next day. Happy healing! :3
That's great to hear! Do you still touch your face? Just curious, because at this point for me if I touch my face in certain areas then I'm more likely to get acne there, but have you gotten to a point where you can touch your face like rest your cheek on your fist or something and not break out?

HAHA that is funny! How far are you into your regimen?

Yup! I can actually touch it now and not get acne haha. But it was not like this when first I still had whole bunch of acne, so definitely after a while you can touch your face all you want and there won't be breakouts (with cleans hands of course)! This is this way for meso I do not want to say it is this way for everyone because I do not now for sure haha.
But I do remember while I was in the first month of the regimenevery time I touched my face in certain areas, I SWEAR within a few hours of so I got a couple pimples right where I was touching lol. You just have to be careful I guess. You know what it might be? It would be that when you have active acne and you touch it you are transferring the germs and bacteria that is growing on the active pimples and then we spread them to the areas to where we do not have any, only to get some a few hours later...
Just a thought 😛
But who knows for sure right? Acne is a freakin mystery to me!
Yeah I know its so complicated lol, over the summer I researched so much about the root causes of acne and why some people have it and others don't. There is SO much conflicting information its pretty shocking. My theory is basically that acne is caused by the skin being genetically more sensitive to hormones, and that hormonal changes and food have a direct effect on it (food changes your insulin/testosterone/DHT/estrogen/IGF-1/androgen levels). But people that are hardcore about curing acne holistically think that we have acne because there is something wrong with us internally, and I used to think that too, but I now disagree with that. Mainly because the odds of every single person with acne having a leaky gut/imbalanced intestinal flora/faulty liver, while our friend who eats a lot of junk and/or drinks a lot and somehow has clear skin because all of that trashy eating didn't "mess" up their bodies and digestive systems like us is REALLY REALLY unlikely. And curing acne holistically involves cutting dairy, wheat, sugar, nuts, so many things out and doing juice fasts and stuff like drinking 4 tablespoons of vinegar every day (which made me throw up after doing that for 2 weeks) like its too much and nobody has the time to do that. That's why I gave up on that lol, and barely anyone had success with it. Well at least now I know to tell people not to even bother going down that road lol, it'll make you healthier but really our goal here is to rid of acne, getting super healthy is a completely different story.

I agree with you 100% haha. Well as long as we stay consistent we will fix some the our acne problems. Not internally i guess. But at this point for me, even thought the regimen is only topical and does not sure acne I am okay with that. As long as I do not have acne, for now at least it is okay! And once I get tired of the regimen I will start looking into other options haha. But I am happy for now!!!!!!!!
Hey! Good job keeping up with dan's Regime for so long! Many people often end up quitting at this point, complaining that the BP was too much, but I am happy that you stuck with it. Yes, please touch your face, you have every right to do so, just don't touch it with dirty hands .
Yikes, your red spots, hu? Yeah, I'm in the same boat. The ONLY thing that will make red spots fade is time, but I would wait until your acne stops emerging before concerning yourself with that. Once your acne is gone, there is a small video about red spots here from "The Love Vitamin". I don't know if this will actually effect your skin on the regime since she is on an acne diet, but I'm not sure where to find anything else unless it's a medication. Hopefully the lotion will soften your skin and improve healing time, so just bear with it for a little while longer . Again, good work!
Before The Regimen: 50+ actives.
Week 1: Mild, noticeably improvement, but still breaking out. Dry, flaky, tight, red. (Half a finger of BP) (Scale of 1-10: 9!)(10 being the worst)
Week 2: No improvement, BIG BREAKOUT! My face became worse than week 1. All pimples were huge and raised high above the skin. BIG breakouts that brought deep and big pimples and numerous cysts. Dry, flaky, RED. (Full amount of BP) (Scale: 10!)
Week 3: Slight, slight improvement. Skin is flatter. Still breaking out a lot maybe 5-6 every morning. This week the pimples are smaller but I was still getting some cysts. No longer dry, flaky, or red. (Full amount form now on) (Scale 7.5-8!)
Week 4: BIG, BIG, BREAKOUT! Probably around 10-15 bloody actives came overnight. This breakout affected my whole face. Cysts, and all. Face began to swell and became painful to sleep. Breaking out continually every day with 1-5. Not a pretty week. (Scale 9-9.5) (35 actives)
Week 5: AWESOME AWESOME improvement!!!!!!! Recovered from last weeks breakouts. This was the first week where I could see WAY more good than bad. This shows you just have to stick it out because till now there has been very minimal results. Got a few pimples this whole week! I broke out anywhere from 0-2 actives everyday this week. (Scale 4)
Week 6: Another week of great improvement! All week I probably got about 3 pimples! Spots are fading, skin is super super duper smooth. Introduced AHA and my face could not be any better at this point. (6 actives)
Week 7: This was a stressful week on my part so I blame my progress completely on this. Spots are still fading. I have about 8-9 actives right now. I am going to try and stay a little more positive so my results stay good. (8-9 actives)
Week 8: Not too much progress form last week. Slight progress. Spots are still fading though! (8 actives)
Week 9: Slight progress, broke out twice this week. Spots gradually fading. (6-7) actives
Week 10: Great improvement! I think I got only two new pimples this week. Spots are still slowly fading. (1-2) actives
Week 11: No more acne as of today!!!!! I new active in the beginning of the week. Spots are still red and slowlyyyy fading. (0) actives!
Week 12: 2 pimples! Ah darn haha. I still need to get passed another month or so to stay consistently clear, so I am pushing through it still.
Day 86 Update:
I have two gross pimplesprobably because I have been under a lot of stress the past few days. I am trying to pick myself up and dust myself off, but man is it hard. Life always hits you when you least expect it. I pray that things start to get a little easier for me, and for all all of you.
I'm love lornoh the misery.
Keep strong hun......i promise it'll get easier. Stress is bad bad bad for the body so try to take things in stride....no one person or situation is worth the stress.
Good Luck!
Hello again 🙂
It has been two months and the wound is still feeling fresh as everbut I will take you advise to heart.
Day 88 Update:
I have no pimples, but honestly I am not getting too comfortable haha because i still am getting a pimple or two a week which will only decrease with time.
So I have ordered from amazon.com a 40% AHA peel. I am really looking forward to trying it out! I will let you know how it goes!
Do you want to do some research about AHA and see whether or not you might be inclined to try it? Well here is a link about how it can help with hyper pigmentation and scars like indents and icepick scaring: http://beautifulwithbrains.com/2011/06/21/can-glycolic-acid-peels-treat-acne-scars/
And here is the brand I bought of amazon yesterday: http://www.skinobsession.com/product-p/ga40.htm
They do have lower concentrations that you can start off with, but since I have been using 10% AHA for a while now, I just opted to start with 40%. I cant wait to let you guys know how it goes!!!!!!!
Well talk more later friends
