Day 52

Chrizzy, that is crazy! We were super close to you over Turkey break then! Small world.

My regimen hasn't changed. Still 1 pump of cleanser (2 if I wear makeup), 1 of BP and 1.5 of moisturizer.

I'll post pics soon. =)

Nothing new to report but pictures soon!

I haven't updated my regimen any or increased the amount of BP. Still one pump. It still makes my face burn at times.

Day 60

Happy February everybody! So, I think my skin is starting to heal up, but I just have red marks still so it's hard to tell. I will say that my chin still breaks out in small pimples here and there pretty regularly but I'm thinking it's hormonal.

Regardless, here are PICTURES! I uploaded them to photobucket because uploading them directly the files are massive.

One side!

The other side!

Straight on... no towel this time. Just post-showered hair. haha

Just to show you that lighting makes a lot of difference. Yeah I like making wierd faces! =)

Hope everybody is doing well! ^_^

Cute pic! Your skin is looking great!

And your area of Texas got snow. All we got was freezing rain and ice.

I can definitely see improvement!

You still seem so sensitive to the BP for now. When your skin gets accustomed are you contemplating the AHA+? That will definitely help with the hyperpigmentation, but I wouldn't attempt it if you're still burning from the BP.

p.s. You are so damned beautiful.

Day 65

For those of you who have been on the DKR for quite a while, how long did it take to fully work? I do not mind the redmarks that much, those will fade in time, but I am still getting breakouts here and there. I was just wondering when that stopped for others.

Thank you Chrizzy! Yeah today it's in the upper 70's, I much prefer this weather to the freak cold front that just happened. haha.

Siava, thank you m'dear! Yeah, the BP randomly burns my face some days and other it is fine. I suspect the dryness of the air and the fluctuations in the weather has a lot to do with it. I attempted to use AHA on my shoulders with minor breakouts but it made them significantly worse so I stopped.

Cyberman84, aw thank you. You made me smile. =)

Hey there,

To answer your question, it took me close to three full months to get clear on the regimen. In the last month I've had one pimple total, and it's been really really great. It takes a lot longer for most people than Dan's timeline to get there, but the results are worth it! Keep at it.

Day 69

I have a couple new pimples and still the crazy red marks. I'm not sure if the regimen will totally work for me but I will stick out it for the rest of the month, maybe longer. It just doesn't seem like it's making my skin as clear as I would like and it's reallly exacerbated redmarks Ah well we shall see the final product!

Americaninparis - Thank you for the response. Glad it worked for you. =)

By the way, I still use one pump of BP. My skin still gets really flaky and just overall...I can't handle more than that.

Day 71

I have a couple new visitors, but other than that, doing pretty alright. In a week or so I'll post new pics.

I think I'm one of those people that will have to stick it out a month or two longer than most to really see results. That's okay though....patience is important. And I'm finding out about it in a lot of new ways.

Cheers all. =)

Kai, I just noticed your log!

When you go back and look at the first set of pictures you posted, and these latest ones, there's a lot of progress! A lot less inflammation and redness. I think you are doing well. Keep trying to gradually increase the bp. Hang in there though. You are definitely making progress. Most people are seeing significant progress by three months.

I didn't catch if you said you were using the AHA yet, but Dan likes to apply it 2-3 nights per week after the bp instead of the usual moisturizer. You might give it a shot and see how you like it.

Good luck!

Day 73

Not much to report except.... HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYBODY!

No matter if you are single or in a relationship...just know you are loved. :D You are beautiful just because you are you and nothing can take that away from you.

Brandy, aw thanks for stopping by in my log! =) I actually left my AHA+ at my house (20 hours away haha), but when I go home in may I'll probably start using it.

Day 76

I think for some of us the regime simply takes longer to work. As I was putting on my usual BP I realized how smooth my skin was. It doesn't APPEAR that way, but under my fingertips it genuinely is much more even and just feels better. If anyone is feeling down about their lack of (visual)progress, I urge you to pay attention the next time you do the regime. It can really make you smile and serve as a reminder that it is working, just maybe not on your schedule.

That is a funny life lesson that I've been learning a lot about lately...life isn't on my time. But it's on Gods. Ah well...some of you probably think I'm cuh-razyyy....that's okay. I understand I'm a bit odd. ;) Don't be afraid to be yourself...who cares what others think.

Hang in there everybody!

I'm on the regimen as well.. I love how positive you are.. I get so down sometimes when I think I look awful and see people with beautiful skin around me. But you know, I've prayed and asked God to help me get through it all even if it seems like it's not that big of a deal to some people.. and one day I'll have clear skin. It seems like you're seeing progress. I am going to try to be as positive as you. :)

Day 79

Laurenelisabeth - Aw, thank you! I understand your frustration, we all have been there at one time or another. How far into the regime are you? Hang in there! I think it's beautiful that you pray for God to give you the strength to get through your situation instead of simply for clear skin. You are quite an amazing person yourself. =)

My skin is pretty alright at the moment, but I do have a painful pimple at the bottom of my right cheek, near my mouth but a little further north. haha. I can't wait til it goes away honestly. Makes my face a bit uncomfortable.

Smile everyone, keep your chin up. I just finished a book by Mother Theresa and one of the quotes really struck a chord with me. "External cheerfulness is the manifestation of inward joy." <3

Great quote :) I am a little over one month.. I know I still have breakouts to come before I really start seeing results. I get paranoid that I'm not doing enough because I don't use a fingers length or use it in the day, but I feel like that would be too much for my skin right now.. better to build up than to overload the face, right? Haha.

Day 81

I am FINALLY up to 2 pumps of the BP! I also use 2 pumps of the moisturizer, and only 1 of the cleanser (2 if I need to take off makeup on occasion). I am hoping this will jumpstart clearing up the rest of my face. It's slowly clearing but I still get breakouts on a fairly consistent basis. My forehead has been pretty clear and smooth since the first few weeks of the regimen but lately has been breaking out on one side. I'm not sure what the cause of that is.

Laurenelisabeth, I understand. I JUST started using a fingerlength (which I believe is 2 pumps) and i'm almost into the start of month 3. My skin couldn't handle that at the beginning. For the first month or so I used half a pump in the morning and then at night. I would caution you against only using the full regimen half the time. I think it's very important to use it on a daily basis, twice a day. Even if you can't use the normal amount of BP.

Keep me updated and smile ladies and gents. =)

For the record, i thought everyone needed to use 3 pumps now? because of the new pumps on the bottles.

Anyway, I WANT THAT HAT KAI, THE GREY ONE, OMFG.

Also good luck with the regimen! it started to kick in around the second month, near the third, and i was fully clear by the fourth month, give or take a handful of breakouts every once in a while.

Day 87

Salutations all! Sorry for the delay in posting... I've been really busy lately. Senior year is kicking into gear and I was at a Catholic retreat this weekend.

Haha SocialAnxiety, thanks for the compliment. It's in the 70s and 80s here in Texas now so I don't need it. I am both sad and happy. =P

I'll post pictures soon...chin up everyoneeeeee!

Day 91

Happy March everybody! ^_^ I hope the month is treating you well thus far! I'm in the midst of the "pre-spring break crunch" aka professors realize they are behind and assign a million assignments and tests during a short period of time. I think it's a plot to develop the all important life skill of cramming.

My face is doing alright. I will take pictures soon to show you all my progress. It's not cleared up yet, but I have patience and for some, I think it just takes a bit longer. I had a similar experience with Differin. That product normally takes 12 weeks to take full effect and it took 20 weeks for me. Ultimately it didn't work but for a while it was quite promising!

I was at a retreat this past weekend and didn't exactly stay faithful to the regimen. I will also be going backpacking and whatnot while on Spring Break and won't be bothering with even trying to use the regimen. Has anyone had any experience with this? Last summer I stopped using anything on my face for a month and it did fine. But I have a feeling it's a little different this time around.

Anyways, I have to get back to the world of homework...Smile and enjoy life everyone. =)
