i've ordered dead sea salt from eBay before. But how do you know it's REALLY dead sea salt? and not plain sea salt? or even just rock salt? sure the guy has high feedback but as if his customers would know the difference? he's got everyone fooled.
okay im being a bit paranoid but seriously...
btw, the dead sea salt may have helped my bacne but it could also be something else.. like my own healing system
actually, just to play it safe, im gonna say its the dead sea salt

Well what's the difference between Dead sea salt and normal sea salt? Also someone has told me that Epson salt is much better than Dead sea salt for baths, and acne. Can anyone confirm this?
has anyone bought sea salt for about $1 per pound including shipping on ebay and had it work for them? i purchased THIS [Edited link out] and i have no idea if what i got is really sea salt since it came in clear bags and it didn't work for me. i want to buy 20 lbs of sea salt from someone else and if i don't see any improvement i'm going to try something else. goddamn this bacne sucks.
I was just at the beach and I bottled up a gallon of ocean water. Since I have a gallon, I'm wondering what the best way to put this stuff to use is, seeing as this is the purest form of sea salt - bringing the ocean to your own house So far I just put some in a spray bottle, sprayed my face and let it dry and I think I'm gonna keep doing that but curious to see if anyone has better ideas.
hello.
i was one of the first people to try this method when this thread started. i used to be on this forum all day everyday but now im glad to say this is the first time in weeks since i logged back on. i got fed up with soaking 5x a week for about the first month because it was so boring so i started with the spray bottle. filled up a bottle with sea salt, so much that there was still salt crystals on the bottom that wouldnt dissolve, and sprayed my back/chest so it looked like i just got outta the shower. id do this before i sleep btw. wait till it drys so it looks like white sandpaper on me, and use my towel to rub it off onto the floor (kinda reminds me off how i should vacuum soon). exfoliating at its best i figured. but yeah, it works since im a past severe acne victim but now i dont break out on my body. dans regime works consistently enough on my face but its no cure because i still do get occassional pimples. other than that, theres my 5 min summary, so good luck people!!! oh yeah, as for my bacne scars/redmarks, theyre still there but at least im not breaking out anymore so hopefully they heal in time

btw if anyone found sea salt for $1.25/lb or less around Boston, please lemme know.
the whole foods brand of sea salt is around that price -- a little bit higher, but not much of a difference over the course of a month. i've started getting their fine sea salt (versus the coarse salt, which took longer to dissolve in the bath -- my water won't get hot enough if i run that much of it). the brand is called '365' and it comes in a blue container -- you have to pop the lid off with a knife instead of using the shaker, which takes forever!
Alright. I've been spraying my face with sea salt since I went to the beach weeks ago. Here's what I've noticed:
When a pimple gets bloody or pops, it makes it heal a lot faster. Other then that, little difference overall.
omg I have taken about 20 sea salt baths so far and that is exactly my feelings. The reaults havent been anything spectacular but I do sort of like taking them.
I just wanted to say that I've been soaking in a sea salt bath once a day for about a week and I really think it's helping my skin. My skin is softer and smoother. I had bacne for years. It initially started going away after I started taking magnesium/calcium supplements to help with my insomnia, but the sea salt baths seem to have helped even more. I had recently started to get some pimples on my upper arms and nothing would get rid of them, but they've actually cleared up since I started the baths. I've started soaking my face too and it seems to be smoothing out my skin. I'll update again in a couple weeks to let you know if things are still going well. I want to try using dead sea salts now.
can i just say that i found the baths rather annoying and couldn't stay in them for longer than 20 mintes. so that idea was out the window.
i tried using a spray bottle. that annoyed me even more.
now, i go in the shower.. i get a jug, put about 4 table spoons of salt in the bottom and fill with boiling hot water. let it cool for a bit and then soak a face cloth in it and wash my body with that.
i've been doing this now for about 3 months.
i used to have really bad bacne, now i'm very close to being 100% clear.
just thought i'd share.
p.s also i used to get a hand towel so it was large enough to grab with both hands and do like an up and down motion so i could reach all of my back. if you get me?
30 oz? That's a ton of sea salt!
I bought some Dead sea salts about a 32 oz bottle. No way would I use the whole thing cuz that would just burn and irritate the hell out of my skin!
The Dead sea salts say that they are concentrated and contain more minerals then ordinary sea water. They are imported from Isreal.
You can find them here:
[Edited link out]
I have used them according to direction I used about 1/2 cup to 2/3 cup which is about 2 heaping handfuls.
They seem to work just fine in this low of a dose. How come you use so much?
