so i've tried all the counter products and even tried going to a dermatologist and doctor but nothing has worked. For the past month, i had been using apple cyder and a few drops of tea tree oil to clear my back and chest acne but i started getting red bumps. I'm not sure if it's b/c i didn't dilute the vinegar or what not but a month later, I still have acne on my back and chest with really obvious scars that hasn't cleared up. However, i'm not saying that the vinegar didn't work..
Now i'm gonna try white vinegar and dilute it to see if it works better this time
Other than lemon, does anyone know any other ways to get rid of scars? I have really noticeable scars on my back and chest and i think thats whats bothering me the most.
Also, does anyone find it hard to stop touching your acne? I have a habit of touching/scratching/popping the acne on my back and i'm trying to stop it but it's hard...
Please help.
Am actually having same problem...I used apple cyder vinegar for few days time, & seems like its getting worse (many red bumps burst out). I applied it with cotton on my back after evening shower & leave it till the other evening shower. I don't know why it didn work for me..May be I leave it for too long??
I just bought japanese rice vinegar to try, hope this work for me....If not, then I think vinegar might not suitable for me....Any kind advice before I use it? Am so upset & hesitate now 🙁
I am also having the same problem. Try going back to the original post and follow her way of applying it.......full strength before a shower and washing it off, and use it at night???
I have been using ACV with Tea Tree Oil for a couple weeks now. I apply it at night before i go to bed and wash it off in the morning. My skins looks less irritated from when i was using BP and antibiotics and has shown some improvement, but I am still seeing red bumps nothing like cysts or anything, just little red bumps. This treatment works well on any big zits, drying them up and minimizing there appearance but I need to get rid of the small red bumps, I need to improve my skins health make it look healthier. I am thinking that the effectiveness is wearing off because of the ACV and my skin is sensitive and maybe the ACV is irritating it or not agreeing with it because it is more acidic or something??
I am going to try and swtich to the Rice Wine Vinegar and see what happens. Will post again in a week or so.
Does everyone wash before applying the vinegar or apply then wash?
What is everyone using as a body wash?
I am currently using Head and Shoulders as read in another link as a remedy but I don't think it works very well. I think i need something a little more sensitive........
Thanks!

I have been using Japanese rice vinegar since my last posting few days ago. Emm, so far it make me feels that it works. Acne of the back starting to get dry now...I will share the status later. Hope it works this time.
This is how I apply the vinegar...After bath, I put some vinegar on my palm & apply on my back gently. I decided not to use cotton this time as it cause irritating & might worsen my acne.
hey guys, just wanted to know how much vinegar u guys used when u put it on?
Hey, i have been using this method for a couple weeks. Not happy right now, have had a bad breakout. i was doing once a night, before i went to bed and it's not working, so, i decided to go back to putting it on after a shower. seems to be working better. will keep you updated.....
alright so i've been using this regimen for about a week or so. I'm using 5% ACV diluted with water. then added a little TTO. So far the results have been positive. I probably have the worst bacne on this forum and my skin feels smoother and scars are getting lighter...THANK GOD. I'm going to use it for a month and post results. i have one question regarding the mixture of these three ingredients. What i've done is in a bottle put about 100mL of vinegar and 100mL of water. Now when i put in say about 5-9mL of TTO it just sits on top of the bottle (OIL and water dont mix...duh). I've made the bottle for ease of use since i will be using it daily. any suggestions.
I use it at night and apply it with cotton balls if anybody is wondering. next morning shower and wash back with ACNEFREE foaming wash.
Started to try this tonight. I have a few deep red and purple scars in a small area of back from cysts I had over the past year, as well as a few live whiteheads.
Using apple cider vinegar, 60-40 water-acv mixture. We'll see what happens!
BTW, I like the smell of vinegar. Reminds me of dying Easter Eggs as a little kid.
Vinegar is not working and i have stopped using it and gone back to straight BP, and it has worked the best for me, skin is getting better and seeing the best results yet. I used the vinegar before my shower in the morning like the post said but my skin was not taking to it, starting getting more and more breakouts, till finally I decided to go see a dermatologist.
I am looking into Levulan treatment! No more vinegar for this guy.
Hi everyone! I read a lot of possitives/unconfirmeds and also a few negatives in this long chain of posts. I have been sitting around for too long putting up with this condition. After finding this tip, I thought to myself, whats to lose? I am going to see what it does for me with the Rice Wine Vinegar. Hope I see some success like others have - would love to swim with my kids without being embarrassed.
I bought cornwells apple cider vinegar made from 100% apple cider and applied it. Is it wierd that i didnt feel any stinging sensation cause i remember that from another post that they felt stinging sensations. Also i read that from the original poster that japanese rice vinegar is the best. I live in Australia does anyone know where abouts to get it from.
I'd say it wasn't true.
I'm on my second day. Don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm seeing improvement. I'm not sure if this is because of the ACV (5% diluted kind, applied nightly) or the epsom salt water spray (applied every morning) or a combination of the two and proper exfoliation with scrubby gloves and a mild salicylic in the shower (morning and night).
Ok, I used 1 Tea Tree Oil (100%, undiluted) : 1 Apple Cider Videgar and ...somehow it doesn't feel right. My skin feels fresh, it has a nice smell but I am not sure I put the right quantity of TTO. Should I have put less?
i think you should probably use way less tto
ive been using this for about 2 weeks and getting great results everywhere but my shoulders/top of back area!
did acv, might try rice vinegar instead jsut to see if that does better
is rice vinegar the sam as rice wine vinegar. i've also seen brown and white rice vinegar at whole foods, which should i use?
After stumbling across this forum and this post I just had to register and share my personal history with apple cider vinegar. I used to get very bad dandruff. I tried the Head and Shoulders and other types of medicated shampoo and nothing worked very well or very long. About 2-3 years ago the flakes started to get really big, and went from white in color to yellowish. My scalp was incredible itchy. I turned to the internet, and started searching for "dandruff home remedy". What I found was apple cider vinegar. The remedy called for keeping a towel on my head for a full hour saturated with apple cider vinegar, and one season is usually enough but in some cases another the next day might be necessary. The first time I did that it stung my scalp. It wasn't nearly as painful as the itching though. After the hour my scalp was red, and its hard to explain but also had a physical feeling of relief. Flakes went from large yellowish to small whitish, and the itching stopped. The next day I did it again and the flakes completely disappeared, exactly as promised. I couldn't believe it.
About a year ago I got two warts on my feet. One was on the heel and the other on the balls of the foot, both on the same foot. It became painful to walk. hTere was something more to it I can't quite remember since the root had to be exposed, but basically apple cider vinegar cured that too. I used a saturated cotton ball and medical tape I think when I got home from work and when I went to bed. Took about a week I think. Wow.
Now I come across this thread. I'm surprised I never tried this myself. The application is probably why. I think I'll try saturating a paper towel and laying on the worst part of my lower back for a few minutes before I shower. I don't know what my results will be, but I can say that apple cider vinegar has done amazing things for me in the past.
Guys, so this should have been my fourth day using Japanese Rice Vinegar on my back, but I skipped it  I just woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and ARGH, I JUST WANT TO GIVE UP!!! But no, I won't :doubt: I'm just sick of having this crap on my back! I feel like I'm never going to get rid of it!! Sorry.... How long did it take for you guys to achieve results? I have acne on my back, but the main problem is on my shoulders. I'm covered in spots!! 😡 So far, I've been applying it in the morning after my shower, then again at night after showering. I've been using just my hands to apply it, but I really think a spray bottle will be easier. Sigh, so I'm starting up again tomorrow! Seems like this has worked well for a lot of people! I'm just impatient...I will gladly keep you guys posted on my progress...Oh, and here is my most recent pic. I took it yesterday:Cheers, guys 🙁
