Hi Botchla and Everyone

Thank you for recommending this method. I bought the two products (C&C Blackhead Clearing Scrub and C&C Continuous Control Acne Cleanser) and began the regimen beginning September 1st, 2004. It seems to be working well and I will follow this method for at least a few months to see how it is working.

I will keep everybody updated on my acne condition.

I got the scrub but i couldnt get the bp in a faceweash, the only thing they had was the bp cream so iv had to settle for that, il be starting the regiem tonight but using bp cream instead of the facewah, hopefully it wil do the same job tho.

Ok im new here and i have a couple of questions about using these products.

firstly are they any different from the clearsil range, because i used the 3-2 deep cleansing wash on my face every day fro two years, and it was ok, it had 2.5 salicylic acid in it. I also used a 10% bp (panoxyl) and i saw similar results, however it never cleared by acne at all. It was merely a way of controlling it in a sense. I would still get big pustules and white heads, it would just be less of them. So is this product regime just for those with mild acne, cos im not sure it would have any effect on me at all after i used similar products.

furthermore, my skin is dry and therefore i dont want to use harsh products on my face that will again break me out in spots and give me dry skin for the next two months. I used nivea mositueser last month (i put it on it tingled i took it straight off) and i have had horrible dry flaky and peely skin ever since. If this product is gunna do the same, id rather not, i dont wan acne and excema!!

hmm i'm a bit sceptical of this regime, i think perhaps its ok for those who have had acne for a little time and those with mil forms but for me, and my moderate to severe acne peers, im not sure it will help matters at all

ok so its day 8 on this regime.

the initial outbreak lasted about 3-4 days. i got about 4 or 5 whiteheads on my left side, and 3 or 4 on my right. they never got very big and they pretty much dissapeared after about 48 hours, and are now slight red/pinkish marks that you can only see real close up.

overall, it was tough at first, and i was definatley tempted to veer off this regime.. and the dryness can be bad at times if you get careless without amounts and the time you apply for.. but the great thing about this regime.. is that as well as preventing whiteheads.. my skin is still super smooth, and i have far less, if any blackheads around my nose area.. this is something no other regime has accomplished before.

as of today i have a very small whitehead on my lower left cheek, one on my nose.. and zero on my right side.. thats right..zero..none..zilch... my entire right side has not gotten nothing now in about 3 days.. not so much as a new blemish or mark.. and the clarity it simply wonderful...

i believe this worked so well for me because my situation was very similar to botchlas.. my acne is mild..i could always get about 80% clear.. to the point where i would get say 4 or 5 whiteheads during the course of a week. hard to believe i was so stressed about this considering 10 years ago i had terrible cystic acne..but like botchla said.. once you see improvement..you just get greedy and want to cross that line into having runs of days or even weeks with no activity at all.

of course i'm knocking on wood everyday.. whether this regime can continue to work so well i will only find out in the upcoming weeks.. but i am very excited with these results so far.. if i ever meet botchla in a bar.. i'll be sure to by him a huge cold one and shake his hand.

some tips i've picked up over the course of the week:

i use both washes in the morning and at night. try washing with both at night and get a feel for how dry your skin is.. if you think its a reasonable level, then use both twice a day.. for me the BCS is great but i feel like once its washed off.. i'm on my own..the great thing about the BP wash is that long after its washed off i feel like its still working on my face.. this may be purely in my head.. but it just gives me more confidence during the day that i have something working actively.

in the am i use a little less of each, about the amounts botchla originally recommended. this makes me a little dry, but by no means anymore drier than other regimes i've tried, and not a worrying kind of dry. at nighttime i use a little more, about twice the amount recommended.. this can make my skin very dry..but because i'm going to bed..i dont really care..by the time i wake up my skin is fine... there is no redness or peeling or anything like that.

at first i had trouble with the BCS..i found it very difficult to apply..like i couldnt get a lather going.. and it was 'scraping'.. so now i add a small amount in my palm..add a splash of water..mix it around my palms before applying.. this just feels much easier going on.. is less drying and seems to be just as effective.

at night i spot treat with neutrogena on the spot (2% BP cream).. this has become less and less during the week.. but it really helped at first during the initial break out..i just take a tiny amount and dab it directly on any active whitehead..leaving a small white dot on my face (why i do it at night).. by doing this a whitehead can barely last thru the next wash..it'll be gone by the next night... this just requires self control.. only dab on the active whiteheads.. and certainly dont start applying it on marks or already fading spots..

i'm lucky enough to work indoors all day.. so i have avoided the sun altogether, this means i can get away without a moisturizer/sunscreen.. but if you are outdoors a lot.. you'd definatley need some form of sunscreen.

if you cant deal with dry skin.. you'll definatley need a moisturizer.. personally dry skin has never bothered me that much.. and i really think the key here is the BCS.. i've never had anything leave my skin feeling as smooth.. that means if you have substituted the BCS with another SA wash.. you may not be getting the true advantage of this regime.. i'd suggest doing what you can to get your hands on the BCS.

well fingers crossed as we enter week 2.. hope everyone else is having similar success. stay clear.

have you guys noticed that he is putting the SAME thing on everyone elses other posts?.......it's getting annoying

n-e-wayz, i gotta few questions about this regimen k?

so i started this regimen on August 30th, and i have been seeing results for a few days, but then i get MORE pimples and then i see results again, but then i get another set of pimples.......it's like going up & down.......this IS normal rite? because it's weird to me how i am seeing GOOD results one day.......then the next i begin to breakout MORE...... wat do u guys think?

Also, on the C&C bh clearing scrub, i sometimes have the urge to scrub kinda hard because i think that this will get rid of my blackheads FASTER but i dunno.......should i be GENTLY rubbing the C&C bh clearing scrub around my face jus like w/tha bp one?

THNX

YES!!! you should scrub gentle.....cause if u think about it, whether ur gently schrubbing or doing it hard, the stuff is on ur face and gonna exfoliate either way and even a dermatologist will tell ya never SCRUB HARD!!!!

about ur results, thats is whatis happening with me, I think its clearing some spots and some places where you did have clog pores cause I think it takes a pimple to fully emerge in a few weeks, all those are just surfacing so in a few weeks, You should be clear!

Well i started last night and this morning when i looked in the mirror nothing seemed too different, tho once i but the BCS on afterwards my skin felt great and smooth, i looked in the mirror again and it seems like something is definetely working the BCS seems to be making my skin more oily but the oil is not visable and all it seems to be doing is making my skin look healthier, im pretty happy so far, i will see if there is any more improvements tomorow morning and il keep you all informed.

At the moment tho im pretty happy with the results after just 1 night

it takes a pimple a long time to form..esp the inflammed ones. I myself had HUGE results the first few days...then the next couple id get a zit here or there.

As botchla said, it takes about a month to see the full effects..by then everything should have surfaced already, so dont make a judgement after the first week.

Hey jade..it looks like me and u have started at around the same day and experience same results.

Have u got any inflammed pimples lately? I got one today.....first one ever since i started.

I think we did start at the same time...Im getting one, hopefully it will go away before comingto the surface..but all the others have vanished! I think its because I used the 5% BP but the washes helped alot too! Right now Im just really dry from the BP...so after I get rid of the dryness I am just gonna use the two washes! Its just I broke up on my cheek abit and wanted to get rid ofthem fast!

I hate having dry skin now!! how long does it take to go away? Im using a moisturizer, maybe i shouldnt use the shrub for a few days??

iunno, ive been using the bp cleanser for like all last year..so i havent experienced too much dryness. Try lessening the amount of bp u put on. The dryness shiuld subside in a week or 2.

Do you think the SA wash is more drying then the BP one? I just wanna cut back til this bit of dryness goes away!

the BP is definatley the drying one.. try using it only at night? right now my skin is really dry.. i think i used too much BP cleanser in my shower this morning.. like i say, you really have to be careful with the amounts.. cos it can really make a difference on how dry you feel during the day.

I only use a small amount but im pretty sure it was the 5% that dried me out but I'll take ur advice and use the bp wash only once..THANKS!!!

I dont know how others use 2.5% everyday and not get dried out! Id rather just use the washes instead!

hey guys.......... i have another question.

umm........u kno when ur pimples gets filled up w/oil or something i dunno........ but it makes the pimple show some white puss on the tip of it or something........ and it makes it EASY to pop it, u know? and when u pop it all that white stuff come out, rite? ok, i have about 3 of those, and since im on blotchas regimen should i jus leave them alone? will they eventually heal? cuz i hate lookin into tha mirror and seeing that sick pimple all white.......i jus get the urge to POP it.........but i DONT....

if u have any BP cream or gel put some of that on it, cause it will be gone by tomorrow if not just dab some of the BP wash and leave it on, should work!

Guys, i think im gonna take the plunge tonight with this regimen.

Even though im using basic bar soap, i think I need medicated soap when I wash. I just started using a AHA lotion, but i think Botchla's regimen seems to work for a lot of people.

I feel this was a sign tonight: As I approached the Cosmetic area at Wal-Mart I see the C&C area on the shelf. I look and find one last container of the blackhead scrub.. Then I find one last container of the bp cleanser. I got the last of each of the products. I was surprised and happy to get them.

Wish me luck as I give this regimen a shot.

( My face is really used to 5% bp cream and 2% SA spray, from my previous regimen. Should I do each wash morning and night, or take it slowly?

Hi. My face, i guess, is so used to the 5% cream, that just alittle of this almound oil skin moisturizer, is enough for the whole day to keep my face moisturized.

It's doesn't ever crack or anything. My old lotion wasn't this good and I had to tri-layer it on every 4 hours because of the peeling.

it's all about the moisturizer, in my opinion.
