Hello.
Just wondering does anyone here have had succeed treating clogged pores by using diet?
People tend to suggest using topicals to treat this skin condition. For example: retinol, AHA, BHA. I found it reasonable too.
But what about diet? Does anyone find certain foods that you eat or avoid could helps?
I would like to learn more!
Thanks.
If you have other things that work for your comendonal acne, please let me know too!
Eating healthy would prevent more from coming but since it's quite different to the normal acne I don't think it will get rid of them (personal experiences). Exfoliating really helps though! I started to get a bit of clogged pores and I begun exfoliating and over the long term they all went! - but I am still stuck with the inflamed spots!!

just a case of finding out what works for you and sticking to it.also a good moisturiser after washing thats suitable for your skin will help.
Thanks for the reply Quadboy. I'm eating quite healthy I believe. It is just that some people found specific food that would make acne worst. Or likely to induce inflamed acne. So what they do are avoiding them. But I just don't see someone else have success with clogged pores by avoiding or introducing specific food. I have never been using moisturiser and cleanser often in my life, because every time I applied them, they would induce acne... But maybe they would help in a long-term, i don't know. : (

Thank you Leilay543 for your reply. Yeah, I can somehow related to that experience. I once quit topical retinol and went cavemen regimen, then the clogged pores shows up again. It makes me think that whether the clogged pores is just a long term non-inflamed process of healing or it's a lingering condition, I have no clue. May I know what you have been using for exfoliating? and how long exactly does it take to make them go away?
Thanks.
You should actualy use moisturiser that is compatable with your skin.at first i thought i was alright with one type but tealised i was getting blocked pores and blackheads and it also led to white heads.
i changed my diet and moisturiser and i find now that i hardly have a blackhead,i get the occassional whitehead,in usual area, nose.but through diet i believe that they ate getting tinier when i get them and less frequently.
drinking water, avoiding sugar and white potato and white bread, which i changed to whole meal is definately making a difference.
you keep your skin moisturised after washing twice daily you are auding your skins natural process of oil production, rather than leave the dry skin ontop to block the process.noisturiser tends to open your pores slightly so keeping fingers off face and generaly keeping clean is a must.
water is a good antioxident so washs your stomach of all the crap that leads to acne from your stomach and intestines, also you hydrate your skin.
so yes diet and other elements can rid you of,blackheads, whiteheads and inflamation that leads to cysts.
