If my vitamin D levels come back as being very low after taking high strength vitamin D for three months then there's a serious problem and I don't know what the next step will be.
maybe bile acid deficiency?who knows I just hope that one day we get this figured out

Good stuff brendan i also read that about ferratin levels. Keep us updated on the iron bud.

yeh you said it stopped your shedding so in my eyes thats a cure. Regrowth is a whole other ball game.

I'd love to see you find a quote where I said that only taking buffered ascorbic acid will stop your shedding

I had to make significant lifestyle changes in addition to taking mortherwort and buffered ascorbic acid, it absolutely did help me, but the fact that you think that taking ascorbic acid alone will fix you is incredibly stupid

Maybe I need to reiterate myself, I bolded it for you since you can't seem to read:

Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all solution, while I am happy to disclose what helped me recover, it may not work for you or the doses may need adjusting.

I additionally had to make numerous lifestyle choices, reducing gluten, carbohydrates, eliminating sugar / caffeine. Even eliminating polyunsaturated fats like fish (which prevent adrenal recovery). That is all key, as per any adrenal fatigue diet.

My GP called me this afternoon my vitamin D levels have come back in the normal range he didn't say what they are just that they are normal and to stop taking the high strength tablets and maybe just take 2000iu once per week.
this tells me my stomach and liver is absorbing all the vitamin D that I have been taking over the last three months which means I think I can rule out vitamin malabsorption

The only thing I'm taking now is the iron supplement daily and the vitamin D once per week will post again in a couple of months

Thank you so much for the details here. I even didn't know about this B5 that causes hair loss.

Free radical damage can cause hair aging, and vitamin C can help protect the scalp and fair follicles from this major hair growth inhibitor. Biotin and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) have been used as alternative treatments for hair loss. Biotin rebuilds hair shingles, and vitamin B5 supports the adrenal glands.

So I started dutasteride (Avodart) .5 mg once again. I am going to keep on it for longer and monitor everything with my dermontologist. I am also using Nizoral and requesting 2% ketoconazole shampoo from my derm to keep the dandruff and inflammation at a minimum. I've tried minoxidil too many times and for over a year without success to give it another try.

The Nizoral is helping my scalp itch more than anything. Still shedding but don't believe as much. I am going to continue the DUT and hopefully see results in the long-term.

Iposteda theory here six years ago.

The idea that wemade our hair production dependenton high doses of b5 vitamin. Based on thefactthat my hair grew unusully fast on b5 and thatI started to losehair soon after I stopped consumption. I ate 6-10 grams a day for 2-3 years.

I thinkthe people who lost hair within the first week or so gottelogen effluvium and others were just losing hair naturally. Not all our cases werethe same. I cant be sure my hairloss isb5 related but I believe it to be.

But six years ago I decided I was going to give my body time to heal itself.I didnt want tomess with b5 anymore. But Its been a long time and my hair looksterrible. Im not even losing hair in a cool way like Nic Cage or Charlie Sheen. It just looks awful..

I took my first dose today(2g). I will take a total of six grams a day and see if anything changes.

They have raised the price on the balding powder. I use to get 300 grams for 20 euro now its 100 grams for 25 euro.

This message is for itsoveroveriknowiknow

To be honest with you, please dont take the B5 again, you are doing a big mistake again by doing this.
you will poison you body systems again, endorine, lymphatic system, Hormones and so on.

We already did a lot of damage to our bodies by taking high doses of stupid things.

We all had telogene effluvium reaction. This condition does take time to resolve. The hair is not a thing that grow easily maybe some follicules are already dead and will never grow back again.

Try to stay healty to preserve the others hairs that still alive in the scalp. Inflamation in the scalp is something very hard to resolve whether you got by B5 or by any other poison.

Stay healthy and natural thats your main objective until it will resolve by itself one day. You should never cosume anything bad for your body.

Thanks

Please read this

I have been waiting for this day, and in fact I didn't think it would ever come when I was in the midst of my hair loss. I promised myself if ever I had some good news for people going through this that I would make sure I shared it - because I had searched for success stories when I was going through it and they were hard to come by. I don't think that was because success stories aren't out there - it's probably because people move on with their life.

A few years ago I had my first shed which lasted a good few months. I wasn't too concerned as it was my first shed and I put it down to possibly the change in seasons. Fast forward six months then came my second shed which lasted around 6 months and I lost about 50 percent of my hair. I knew then it was T.E and it consumed my life. Hair was everywhere every day, my pony tail became so thin and if I gently pulled at my hair, strands and strands would fall out. That was definitely my worst shed, it felt like it never ended and I was surprised that I had any hair left. I had a break from T.E then it started again a few months later, not for as long as the previous shed however again it consumed my life. Then again another break and another few months of shedding occurred. The density of my hair was half of what it was and I'm sure everyone can understand how distressing that is (especially when I didn't have a thick mane to begin with). I became obsessed with thinking about what I was going to do and if I was going to shave it off. When I put it in a pony tail not only was it thin but you could see parts of my scalp at the side where the hair was thinning so badly.

During those years I did so much research on what was happening. I went for tests at my GP however my thyroid, ferritin and iron levels were all great. I tried biotin however that bloated me out which made me feel worse. I meditated on my hair loss and I tried going shampoo free. I thought maybe it was stress however I couldn't pin point how my life was any more stressful than usual. Then one day I couldn't believe that I had missed a key event which I now understand is why I lost all of my hair. The month before I had my first shed, I came off the pill which I had been taking non stop for 15 years. I then found online many people who shared this story of coming off the pill and hair loss. Quite shockingly I also read that GP's had told people to go back on it to stop the hair loss (so continue taking the drug that caused this in the first place). I read that this actually made it worse for some. As I had taken the pill for so long, it took me a year to start having normal periods again. My hormones were all over the place and for the first time I was experiencing PMT as the pill had blocked this all out for so long. It has taken a few years for my hormones to settle down.

I have now had no hair loss for exactly 1 year and 1 month and my hormones have balanced out (it was about 3 years I had Telogen Effluvium for). My hair is not as thick as it was just yet as its not been long enough however it is definitely getting there for sure. I can particularly see that the sides of my hair are growing back which is where I experienced the main loss. I ended up having some highlights because they made my hair feel thicker also which helped me a little with my confidence. I have avoided the obvious like cheap shampoos such as treseme which I read can cause hair loss. I try to use paraben free shampoo as much as possible which you can buy from the natural health shops. In fact my boyfriend's hair is thicker because he has now been using it too. However the bottom line is that my Telogen Effluvium was due to my hormones and the impact of coming off the pill. I know this will not be the same for everyone however I did want to offer people going through this some hope that things can change and that a recovery is possible. Fingers crossed mine continues!

I actually cant beleive your taking that shit again after it ruined so many peoples lives. Seriously what are you doing man. That shit fucked my body and ive never been the same since. Good luck to you but i have a feeling your hair will get worse and it will prob mess us your hormones again.

I hope your theory is right. Just make sure your taking a high potency b complex with it.

Last generation of soldiers in the frontline. Its now or never. The truth is my hair has never been the same since I stopped eating b5. Isent that true for you aswell Blue?

Whats wrong with your hormones? Other issues than hair loss?

Iwill not eat b-complex. I only ate b5 six years ago when my hair was growing fast and thick.

Its been 10 days and the brittle hair on top is still dry, curly and thin. But the rest of the hair looks better and feels stronger and thicker than before. A little bit of my old hair smell has returned. I never liked it before but now it smells like hope to me. Now this can all be in my imagination.

I give it 5% chance that my hair will grow back. 10% that it stops current hair loss. And 3% that I go completely bald.

Gone down to 2 grams a day

No its not true for me. I took b5 for about 6 to 8 months and during that period i watched my hair get worse and worse but i didnt realise it was the b5 doing it. I was taking other things aswell and i dropped everything else until i eventually realised it was b5 causing the hairloss. I could pull about 5 or 6 hairs out my head every time i touched it for quite a few months and then the shedding gradually went down. The hair lost has never regrown and never will unless i take minox and duta. Its like steroid hairloss once its gone its gone.

I see. So your hairloss isent getting worse with time?

My hair went crazy after I stopped b5. First hairloss started.. slowly but surly.. then I got an afro that lasted for 1.5 years...looked pretty cool... then the afro went away and I was left with weak shit hair.. Also the hairloss seems to have accelerated

Yeh hairs getting worse with time but the hair shedding isnt as bad as it was during and after a few months of b5. Took about 2 to 3 years for the shedding to slow down

Going to try sandalore...Google "sandalore and balding." Probably won't work, but it seems cheap so might as well.

I trimmed my beard today. For sure there's a big difference. My trimmer used to get stuck here and there so I hade to be very careful or I'd hurt myself.Trimming my beard to a three day stub took forever and was a hazzle. This morning my trimmer didn't get stuck once and it was a complete diffrent feel to it. Clipped hair with ease.. it went quick and my beard looks great and feels strong.

I dont know whats going to happen.. Any day now I might wake up a egg head without hair, beard or eyebrows.. but so far so good.. I push on
