every time I reaserch b5 hair loss on the internet a biotin deficiency crops up has anyone ever gone down this route I've also read that accutane can also deplete biotin.

If L-Cysteine or Carnitine isn't working out. Try Histidine HCL. 300-500mg 1-2x a day. Vitamin B5 acts as Beta Alanine and causes an imbalance of more than just Cysteine. Cysteine isn't going to work for everyone. L-Cysteine makes me really sick and some of us have high Cysteine already. Just wanted to give some advice for those still struggling with hair loss. Other amino acids worth supplementing imo are Lysine and Taurine.

I've added biotin been taken it every day for around a month and it's actually making shedding worse so I don't know how that works.
im at a total loss I've tried so many things.
maybe we have caused permanent organ damage to one of our organs

I think the vitamin c absobic acid blue09 is trying is gonna be a make or break because I've tried everything
it would be easier for me to tell you what I haven't tried over the last 5 years

Ive tried lysine and taurine neither work. Never tried histidine tho. Still shedding on buffered ascorbic acid aswell so nothing good to report yet but still to early i guess havnt been on it long. It did give me an initial breakout but they have pretty much gone now.

Same here. Tried 3 different brands of l-cysteine to no effect. Pretty much given up now. Ill carry on with the ascorbic acid but i dont hold much hope at all.

I find it interesting that you guys are alluding to the fact that you cannot tell if what you are consuming is affecting your hair loss, it has always been very easy for me to tell in the past, for example:

Eat a lot of any carbohydrate => Scalp is on fire
Eat anything containing a lot of sugar => Scalp is on fire
Consume caffeine => Scalp is on fire

I had to heavily reduce carbs / sugar for months, so I would be extremely interested to see / challenge people on this thread to drink a couple cans of regular soda (must have sugar and caffeine) for a few days

If your hair loss gets any worse, it would be a pretty quick test to see if your adrenal glands have been compromised and whether they are contributing to the hair loss

Can you please explain your recovery with Buffered Vitamin C and motherwort?

From reading your posts, it seems you aren't taking motherwort any longer, and you don't seem sure it helped, but you're sure that Buffered Vitamin C did help?

What dosages do you take per day? and when?

Who has tried Progesterone? Specifically, oral progesterone. (this is for men only)

https://www.healthnatura.com/product-p/progesterone1oz.htm

Place into OO sized veggie capsule (better than gelatin capsule as it is more durable). Fill up the capsule, should be about 100mg, take one at bedtime.

I've been using progesterone for awhile. I feel like it's the best thing we currently have to keep our hair, with no side effects (or positive ones).

It would be interesting if more B5 hairloss sufferers also tried progesterone for hair loss.

You can start at lower dosage if you like.

I got this idea from a guy on a hairloss forum, who cured his MPB hairloss with just using 100mg oral progesterone, taken once every other day at night time. He thickened up his hair and stopped any further loss, and his hair was receding and thinning badly.

Progesterone is the main building block used for synthesis of finasteride, but it does not have the bad side effects like finasteride.

I feel like this is worth a shot for everyone, much more than trying buffered Vitamin C...

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. I think platelet rich plasma therapy might be successful, and it's not as expensive as hair transplants, but it's still not cheap.

Hi valorous I'm honestly not trying to rain on your parade.i actually thought the exact same thing as you prp and the science behind it looked good I was at a low and willing to try anything I paid 1200 for 10 prp sessions over a 10 week course and for me I had no re-growth although my shedding did slow down slightly it soon came back.
id save your money mate

Just another bit of info
whe I had my vit D tested three months ago I also had my b12 and serum ferritin tested my GP said my serum ferritin was fine and in range.i asked him what it was yesterday
it was 67 .I've been reading on google and a lot of sites are saying that your serum ferritin should be at least 90 to stop hair loss and for males the optimum level is 120-150.
obviusly supplementing with iron can be dangerous if you overdose and take too much so i started talking yesterday 100%rda of iron supplement and will give it three months just to see if there's any changes
