I am so happy for you! Please forgive me because I did not go through all the posts just yet - only read your first one. I had a few questions if you don't mind.
-Did you drink this much water before? If not, this alone could make a significant difference. It does sound like a lot of water however. I'm not sure I would be able to drink as much.
I remembered reading in my book of Ayurveda that one of the guidelines was not to drink with meals, but to drink water during the day.
I think many times, I do already eat without drinking at the same time, but I know there are times I do drink also.
The only thing is, I also read that it is good to wake up and drink a full glass of water to activate the mechanisms for emptying the bladder and bowels. And then I heard that you should eat within one hour of waking, so I am wondering how this can be done.
I think the regularity of your routine must be helping greatly, too. I'm really happy for you that this is working! Thank you for sharing it with everyone.

How are things for you now Caroline? I admired your discipline - I know it would have been difficult for me to do. Please give us an update if you can, even if it turned out that it stopped working for you or you did not continue.
I know this thread and the responses are older, but I wanted to share my thoughts on some points.
In response to the skepticism and frustration felt by some in relation to claiming something as a cure and potentially misleading others or offering false hope...I feel it is understandible that someone who notices a significant difference in their skin's appearance as a result of trying something new may feel excited and may want to share this news (which is also nice of them), though yes, it is likely still too soon to determine the true long-term effectiveness. I think most of us are aware that it can either continue to get better or cease to work, that everyone is unique and that the solution can thus be very different for each person because of this. We should view this accordingly, and understand that we are responsible for our own choices, whether it be trying it ourselves or not, observing the effects or researching thoroughly before attempting something.
It can be dangerous at times, because people can try so many things, so many things that may not be recommended by a qualified source or good for them. In this case, I don't think it is a harmful test to try but again, in the end, we are responsible for our own decisions.
OK, hopefully I can help with the 'taking pills at mealtime thing':
When it says to take pills with food, all it's basically saying is don't take them on an empty stomach.
According to my oxytetracycline instructions - which I have to take on an empty stomach - an 'empty' stomach is classed as 2 hours after a meal.
So I guess if you take the pills an hour or so after your food, you should be fine, as technically it's not an empty stomach, and you've given time after your meal before you drank any water.
ok everyone, i have stumbled upon something amazing recently, so bear with me, its kind of a long story. i think some of you have read my posts, im a 20 year old female whos been suffering with bad acne for almost 10 years. i have been on anti biotics for almost 10 years as well, which turned into a nightmare.. eventually i became immune to most anti biotics, as ive been on most all of them for acne, an each time i would attempt to go off the anti biotics the acne (that i should have genetically grown out of, as my brother an dad did) got majorly worse. what once was just huge white heads became horribly painful cystic welts under my skin, on top of the huge whiteheads that always scar on me. so basically, i have been on anti biotics for ages, and even on the anti biotics, my acne was so chronic it would never clear me totally. i have tried spiro, which worked beautifully, as my acne is very hormonal.. (my break outs are most severe on the mid/lower cheek areas) but due to hairloss issues, i had to stop spiro, and i cant take b5 or spiro or anything that blocks androgens, which is horrible.. because they worked so well. I have tried MANY things for my acne over the years, including most anti biotics(mino tetra erythra keflex bactrim). i have used ALL of the topicals, retinoids, etc, with best results coming from tazorac. Ok fast foward to now, about 2 weeks ago i read on this forum about 'red' who had used an awesome homeopathic pill for his acne/ oilyness. homeopathy is safe, so for some unknown reason, i decided to take a leap of faith and GO OFF my anti biotics for a week to try this stuff out, in hope to finally find a safe alternative to antis. Well needless to say, 4 days into the treatment, it didnt work for me (but i beleive in homeopathy).. an my face was horribly oily and the cysts were beginning to come up. So i stopped the homeopathy, and decided i would try my best to find a natural treatment for my acne. so i began taking lots of essential fatty acids.. in the form of evening prim rose oil an flaxseed oil... these are good for acne.. but cant handle scarring cysts/ whiteheads like i have.. so i also drastically changed my diet as well... and then *THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART* lol i remembered something i read late one night while doing research on my hair. I was reading a hair loss forum, specifically a thread about 'folliculitis' now i dont even have folliculitis, so i dont even know why the heck i was reading it. the thread was about natural ways to treat folliculitus, and what had helped people. (folliculitis is alot like acne, its inflamed pimples on the hair follicles, usually from hormones). So i read about this woman, who claimed she cleared hers 100%! (yea right i thought) she claimed that an old jewish woman told her TO NOT DRINK ANYTHING RIGHT BEFORE YOU EAT, AND NOT DRINK ANYTHING FOR A WHILE AFTER YOU EAT. she stated at the end of her post that it would help kids with acne.. so i laughed, thinking to myself how cruel she must be.. to lead people on with acne, because this was obviously WAY too easy. But at that point, i was getting 5-6 new cysts everyday, nothing was holding it back, so i thoguht 'what the hell? ill try it for a few days' i had found this information about 2 months ago.. an tried what she recommended in the post, she said to not drink anything 10 min before you eat, not drink anything during the meal, and not drink anything for an hour after you eat. i tried this for a day or 2, didnt notice a change.. so i never tried it again. Now, last thursday, i decided that i was going to try this, STRICTLY. When i woke up that morning, i ate something healthy, and did not drink anything for 2 HOURS after i ate, and i would make sure i had not drunk anything for 2 HOURS BEFORE i ate. Basically i put myself on a schedule. (ie: wake up at 8am and eat, drink loads of fresh water at 10 am, eat again at 12, drink loads of water at 2, eat again at 4, drink loads of water at 6, eat again at 8, loads of water at 10 ) the lady i read about said that you would notice results in 2 days.. SHE WAS RIGHT. by the end of the second day, i looked at my skin, an noticed i DID NOT GET ANY NEW PIMPLES ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! since then.. it has ONLY GOTTEN BETTER.. I HAVE GOTTEN NO NEW PIMPLES SINCE SATURDAY NIGHT.. the pimples i have are drying up, and NOTHING IS COMING BACK.. i follow the diet/ drinking schdule RELIGIOUSLY! an i am getting NO MORE ACNE. in about 3 or so days my face will be about 100% clear of acne.. this has been a MIRACLE !!!!!! PLEASE anyone with acne, TRY THIS,, i have NEVER seen anything like it.. i have GONE OFF ALL supplements, vitamins an medications !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heres what i Do
-Wake up an eat at 8 (grilled chicken an a veggie) drink NOTHING
-drink NOTHING until 10 am, drink as much as you can, preferabbly water!! (i usually drink 4 large glasses, and do NOT eat ANYTHING until 12!!!)
- i eat again at 12 (salmon with a salad) drink NOTHING (drink nothing again until 2!)
-at 2 i drink another 4 glasses of water (i got one of those PUR water filters on my kitchen faucets, its AWESOME) eat nothing until 4!
-at 4 eat something.. smoked turkey an a veggie or salad (again drink NOTHING until 6)
-at 6 drink another 4 glasses of water (again no eating anything til 8)
- at 8 you can eat again (when i say eat, it doesnt have to be a full meal, it can be a simple snack, JUST DONT DRINK NEAR THE TIME YOU EAT)
-at 10 drink another 4 glasses of water.. so basically thats what i do.. eat first thing.. drink 2 hours later, eat again, drink 2 hours later.
THIS HAS WORKED AMAZING FOR ME!!! but you have to be STRICT. i am a firm beleiver in a healthy diet, but honestly i dont think this has anything to do with diet, so continue eating what you want, just schedule when you are going to eat or drink, if you have to write it down, i do
now if you can.. try to drink water..it helps alot..

thats all i do.. if you guys are very strict about this.. i think you should notice that you arent breaking out anymore by maximum 4-5 days. this treatment doesnt seem to make them go away faster, BUT IT KEEPS NEW ONES FROM COMING.. i have about 6 tiny pimples left, that are going away fast, i have had one new pimple since saturday. please try this everyone.!!!

A talk given by Tessa Jupp RN in June 2003 has led to a new addition to our book range - $5.
Here is a summary of the book.
The information for this topic came mainly from a very interesting document by Willis S Langford entitled "Autism - a comprehensive guide" which is available on the internet. Although this article is aimed at treating autistic children, a lot of this information gleaned from world-wide research, is as valuable to the "normal" population as well.
There is an integral link between the functioning of the gut and the immune system and what affects one has a bearing on the other. In order to fix something, we need to understand how it works properly in the first place. The overheads from the talk which explain all this in simple language, have been put together into booklet form and are available at $5 each.
The important message is that there are 2 types of Helper T-cells in the immune system called Th1 and Th2. The Th1 cells deal with acute infection - like colds and flu's, infected cuts etc. The Th2 cells are responsible for antibody production so that the body can overcome a repeat infection much faster. In simple terms - Th1 are the soldiers fighting in hand to hand combat and the Th2 cells are those on guard duty to sound the alarm and repel invaders.
Problems occur when the Th2 cells become dominant unbalancing the Th1 cells. When this occurs we tend to develop chronic allergies, depressive psychological disturbances, auto-immune diseases, leaky gut and constant infections that are difficult to resolve.
The pattern can be set in childhood as vaccination stimulates Th2 production (can be further stimulated by fluvac etc) and lowers Th1 cells. So a pattern is set up with frequent colds, flu's and ear infections etc that are hard to throw off. We may then end up on antibiotics which kill off the good gut flora, leading to overgrowth of candida and causing damage to the gut lining. This results in decreased nutrient absorption, indigestion, gut ulceration, leaky gut, food intolerances allergic reactions, chronic illness like asthma etc, build-up of toxic metals, chronic ill health and auto immune disease such as Chronic Fatigue, diabetes, Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer and autism in susceptible individuals as the Th2 climbs higher. So at any point in our lives we can be thrown into this vicious cycle of ill-health that is self perpetuating.
T Helper 2 Cells are raised by infection, vaccines, stress, faulty digestion, leaky gut, candida, eating processed sugars & flours, trans-fats like margarine, omega 6 fatty acids like canola oil - all of which can lead to adrenal exhaustion, a further complication.

DO YOU SEE SIMILARITIES OCCURRING HERE?
The same things keep coming up as happening with leaky gut and low stomach acid. And there is an inter-relationship between the effect the immune system and digestive system have on each other.
There isn't room in this short article to go into the normal workings of either the immune system or the digestive system (see the booklet for this) but it is important for all parts and systems of the body to get the appropriate nutrients - vitamins, minerals, amino acids as well as the carbohydrates, proteins and fats that are needed for normal body metabolism. Otherwise they cannot function as they are designed to and we recognise this as disease rather than as nutritional dysfunction and therefore correctable.
Many so called "diseases"could be addressed in this fashion. Stomach acid is necessary to break down the foods we eat, particularly proteins before they pass through to the next part of the gut to an alkaline environment and where the doorways to
absorption from the gut are like border guards where you have to have the right passport to enter or need a sponsor to accompany your admission.
Just as stomach acid is dependant on the necessary nutrients esp zinc, B1, B6 so digestive enzymes, bile and insulin rely on the message for release sent by stomach acidity and need certain nutrients also for production. Each system is reliant on another
working well too. For Bile to emulsify dietary fat we need cholesterol, taurine, Vit C, manganese and sulphur to make the bile.
SIGNS of LOW BILE PRODUCTION
dietary fats are not being digested well if
- faeces float in toilet
- faeces colour is light tan or grey
- faeces are bulky and shiny
- bowel action is foul smelling
If you have problems with fatty liver or gallstones, taking taurine, carnitine, Vit E and lemon juice can alleviate. Causes include high copper levels, excessive sugar or fats in the diet, obesity, low stomach acid, low intake of Vit C & E, taurine, manganese,
constipation and lack of exercise.
HEALING LEAKY GUT
So to fix leaky gut we need to address a lot of the causes. We need to -
1 Increase stomach acid by taking lemon juice, apple cider vinegar or hydrochloric acid tablets immediately before a meal.
2 Avoid processed foods esp grains & sugars (includes flours, breads, pasta cereals, rice)
3 Take glutamine and Vit A to help repair the damaged villi (gut mucosa absorption sites) and reduce gut hyper-permeability (inappropriate absorption)
4 Increase bile and pancreatic enymes production - take taurine, Vit E & C, B3, chromium, zinc, manganese
5 Restore Gut Flora with acidophilus, biodynamic yoghurt, or probiotics on an empty stomach
6 Eat organic fruit and veg
7 Use blood group diet
8 Drink more water - spring or filtered
9 Avoid constipation - take magnesium and Vit C to bowel tolerance (twice a day on empty stomach)
10 Boost the immune system - get more sleep, gentle exercise, laughter & fun
To BOOST Th1 CELLS (and balance Th2)
* take glutamine, Vit A, C, E, zinc, B Vitamins, essential fatty acids - according to blood group
* boost friendly gut flora
* improve digestion - stomach acid, digestive enzymes, bile, insulin

(my break outs are most severe on the mid/lower cheek areas) but due to hairloss issues, i had to stop spiro, and i cant take b5 or spiro or anything that blocks androgens, which is horrible.. because they worked so well. Ok fast foward to now, about 2 weeks ago i read on this forum about 'red' who had used an awesome homeopathic pill for his acne/ oilyness. homeopathy is safe, so for some unknown reason, i decided to take a leap of faith and GO OFF my anti biotics for a week to try this stuff out, in hope to finally find a safe alternative to antis. Well needless to say, 4 days into the treatment, it didnt work for me (but i beleive in homeopathy).. an my face was horribly oily and the cysts were beginning to come up. So i stopped the homeopathy, and decided i would try my best to find a natural treatment for my acne. so i began taking lots of essential fatty acids.. in the form of evening prim rose oil an flaxseed oil... these are good for acne.. but cant handle scarring cysts/ whiteheads like i have.. so i also drastically changed my diet as well... and then *THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART* lol i remembered something i read late one night while doing research on my hair. I was reading a hair loss forum, specifically a thread about 'folliculitis' now i dont even have folliculitis, so i dont even know why the heck i was reading it. the thread was about natural ways to treat folliculitus, and what had helped people. (folliculitis is alot like acne, its inflamed pimples on the hair follicles, usually from hormones). So i read about this woman, who claimed she cleared hers 100%! (yea right i thought) she claimed that an old jewish woman told her TO NOT DRINK ANYTHING RIGHT BEFORE YOU EAT, AND NOT DRINK ANYTHING FOR A WHILE AFTER YOU EAT. she stated at the end of her post that it would help kids with acne.. so i laughed, thinking to myself how cruel she must be.. to lead people on with acne, because this was obviously WAY too easy. But at that point, i was getting 5-6 new cysts everyday, nothing was holding it back, so i thoguht 'what the hell? ill try it for a few days' i had found this information about 2 months ago.. an tried what she recommended in the post, she said to not drink anything 10 min before you eat, not drink anything during the meal, and not drink anything for an hour after you eat. i tried this for a day or 2, didnt notice a change.. so i never tried it again. Now, last thursday, i decided that i was going to try this, STRICTLY. When i woke up that morning, i ate something healthy, and did not drink anything for 2 HOURS after i ate, and i would make sure i had not drunk anything for 2 HOURS BEFORE i ate. Basically i put myself on a schedule. I HAVE GOTTEN NO NEW PIMPLES SINCE SATURDAY NIGHT.. the pimples i have are drying up, and NOTHING IS COMING BACK.. i follow the diet/ drinking schdule RELIGIOUSLY! an i am getting NO MORE ACNE. in about 3 or so days my face will be about 100% clear of acne.. this has been a MIRACLE !!!!!! PLEASE anyone with acne, TRY THIS,, i have NEVER seen anything like it.. i have GONE OFF ALL supplements, vitamins an medications !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heres what i Do
-Wake up an eat at 8 (grilled chicken an a veggie) drink NOTHING
-drink NOTHING until 10 am, drink as much as you can, preferabbly water!! (i usually drink 4 large glasses, and do NOT eat ANYTHING until 12!!!)
- i eat again at 12 (salmon with a salad) drink NOTHING (drink nothing again until 2!)
-at 2 i drink another 4 glasses of water (i got one of those PUR water filters on my kitchen faucets, its AWESOME) eat nothing until 4!
-at 4 eat something.. smoked turkey an a veggie or salad (again drink NOTHING until 6)
-at 6 drink another 4 glasses of water (again no eating anything til 8)
- at 8 you can eat again (when i say eat, it doesnt have to be a full meal, it can be a simple snack, JUST DONT DRINK NEAR THE TIME YOU EAT)
-at 10 drink another 4 glasses of water.. so basically thats what i do.. eat first thing.. drink 2 hours later, eat again, drink 2 hours later.
THIS HAS WORKED AMAZING FOR ME!!! but you have to be STRICT. i am a firm beleiver in a healthy diet, but honestly i dont think this has anything to do with diet, so continue eating what you want, just schedule when you are going to eat or drink, if you have to write it down, i do
now if you can.. try to drink water..it helps alot..

thats all i do.. if you guys are very strict about this.. i think you should notice that you arent breaking out anymore by maximum 4-5 days. this treatment doesnt seem to make them go away faster, BUT IT KEEPS NEW ONES FROM COMING.. i have about 6 tiny pimples left, that are going away fast, i have had one new pimple since saturday. please try this everyone.!!!

I make no apolgy for bumping this:it works.It is tricky to do in normal life, but if you don't want acne, follow this plan.
Okay I agree with the whole not drinking with or immediately after eating. But why not before?
Also If its suppose to be healthier to eat a bunch of small meals or snacks in between means all day instead of 3 big meals then its far too complicated to schedule drinking water times between 6 small meals.....
At least thats my opinion...
