I am really, really happy you guys liked my baby brush idea! It makes me happy knowing I've helped people

It's amazing seeing the chain effect. When you mention something and then you hear people using it finding as much success as I have had, makes me feel really good!

Can you guys do me a little favor?

If you guys have used this and did like it, could you post in the original thread and post what it did for you so we can also help others :)

It would mean a lot to me and everyone that needs to know about it

http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php?showtopic=140618

Thank you

Good work man.

I'm going to bump this post 1-2 times a month. Why? Just because I think this contains some tools for people to clear up. Since I promote a psychology and a philosophy the forum administrators are against pinning.

I guess if you want something pinned here you just have to write a post devoid of any personality and meaning, then site a few scientific studies, and lastly change your username so it contains the word "queen".

That is the 3 step process. Try it and I guarantee they pin your post

I'm glad we are all on the same page. I've found baking soda is damaging on more sensitive skin and may need to be avoided.

Baking soda alone=severe irritation

Baking soda scrub followed by watered down apple cider vinegar as a toner=amazing results. ((my results only, they will vary person to person of course))

I think its something about the PH balancing each other out.Not sure. BUt Ive never had anything work like this.

My topical routine at bedtime is this, followed by application of 2.5 BP(after the ACV dries on my skin), then when that dries, I moisterize with a mixture of cetaphil and jojoba oil (some of the best stuff ever)

My skin is nowhere near perfect I am still getting breakouts but Id say this routine has probably cut my healing time in half, if not more. My skin cannot handle the acids such as AHA and stuff like that, it irritated me SO bad. I havent had much irritation doing this topical routine. Plus AVC, Cetaphil, baking soda, and dans bp are all really affordable. Its funny how sometimes you spend so much on expensive beauty scrubs and creams and the cheap basic stuff ends up working better for you.

I hope this helps someone. <33

I really hope they sticky this thread.

Your post really shows how so many people have wrong thought about the way they are going about trying to cure their acne. We should all be trying to fix our overall systems and optimize them, not be looking to add one 'miracle' thing or another that will magically cure acne. I already sorta thought this way, and your post really cemented in me the correct way to look at this problem. Whoever said that your lifestyle was unhealthy or extreme is completely retarded..this isnt really that much of a regimen or a skin care program its just a way of life and I think thats the healthiest approach. You should consider writing a book about all this stuff Bob. Id buy it. :D

Also, I was wondering if you could explain more in depth your opinions of parasites and parasite flushes. I became terrified over this subject when I was bit younger, because of people over-exaggerating the fact of human worm infestations. I was sick night and day over this and did a month long cleanse, and no worms or anything came out, thank god. -I have no symtoms of parasites anyways-. I was wondering if you think I should bother doing another parasite cleanse before I do a liver flush later this spring? I have no symtoms, not at high risk, etc. BUt I still get scared of the possibility.

Not to scare you a lot, but most people have some type of parasites in them. Parasite cleanses I don't think are necessary but I do believe are beneficial.

If you have the $ for it and it is no extra strain on you, then I would do it. If it is taking significant $$ out of your budget, then skip it. You don't HAVE to do one.

There are a bunch of things you can do to improve your health, so it becomes your choice now. It is NOT necessary before a liver flush and I am under the impression that your liver flush will be just as successful without it.

A note on increasing health to the max:

The most extreme and healthiest diet I have ever done was the pH balance diet. Creaeted by Dr. Robert Young. It is ultra extreme but I can vouch for them in saying, your body will have never been healthier.

I sleep 7-9 hours a night depending on different factors. When I was on that diet for a month I would sleep for 5 hours and then wake up wide eyed. I would go to sleep at 12am and be up at 5am, wide awake. I tried to lay in bed longer, but I had so much energy that I couldn't fall back asleep.

I know what optimum health feels like and it takes very extreme approach. As for maintaining excellent health and clear skin, what we've discussed will do just fine.

Also, check out the fabulous green smoothie post in nutrition. It is probably the best nutritional habit you can pick up this year.

Bob's post is the reason why I am where I am. It got me asking "why?" about everything I was doing and correcting it all. It got me asking "how" does what he says works?, and looked into it and his principles are all correct. Made me learn a lot :)

Thanks bob! It all started with my first questions in this thread that got me serious about my health big time.

I'd like to second that ... Bob and Romeo you guys have been probably the 2 most helpful people here over the last few months as I begin my search to find a lifestyle (i think that word fits better than "regimen") that will not just help my skin but help me as a person. You guys are supportive and offer advice, but not in the sense that you say, "Do the Paleo Diet or don't bother changing your diet at all" or "XYZ product helps everyone" ... Bob I love how you even said in the OP things like "if it works for *your* skin, stick with it." Too often here I think people assume that we don't know our skin as people and that what works for one (or 10, or 100) will work for all.... I can't stand stuff like that ...

I'm not in a position in my life where I am able to go on the Paleo Diet ... or go to the gym 5 days a week... working 2 jobs and living with my parents makes it hard to cook for myself and work out regularly. But there are smaller changes I can make, like cutting dairy, increasing O-3 intake, and running 3 times a week instead of getting all my physical activity from work (my job is basically 9 hours of walking/lifting a day) that I'm sure can improve my skin and overall well-being, and both of your posts have reinforced that. Instead of feeling crappy because I can't go 100% on all this stuff, I feel like I can still make a difference for myself. So thanks, guys.

Just curious if anyone has seen better results on this method or the DKR? I'm not sure whether to exfoliate with baby brish or with AHA???
