No one ever says anything mainly because I have red marks, but I wear concealer.

But whenever a guy likes me, my sister "mentions" how I have to wear cover up and how ugly I am. =/

Your sister is a bitch. Shes just jealous that you get the attention and she doesn't.

I was on set being an extra in a movie because I thought it would be fun. I knew there would be bright lights and that there was a possibility that you would be able to see the acne in the movie, but I had the chance to do something I really wanted to do and I didn't let my acne hold me back. I was getting my hair and makeup done (kept wondering what the makeup artisit was thinking) I eventually found out because while I was done getting my hair and makeup done this other girl that was getting hers done looked over and pointed at me and was touching on her face ( I couldn't hear what she said) and then the makeup artist looked at me and turned real quick because she realized I was watching them and I hear her say it wont show because the camera will be too far away. My heart sunk and I wanted to crawl under the table.

Really, there should be more people in movies suffering from acne! I'm tired of watching all those caked up, fake-perfect actors. It's like we don't even exist. Damn it, I wan't to see a movie with acne flaring around!

Hope you did well anyway.

Thank you and I agree!! I know I've seen Angelina Jolie have it in one of her movies and the chick that played in something about mary had it when she was in one of the Charlie's Angel movies. That guy who plays in lucky chuck or something like that had scars from acne. It's slowly making it's way to where it won't be such a shock to see it on the big screen. BUT we all know there will be talk about it in some stupid magazine. The world will never change.

"What happened to your face"

"You spoil your face"

"Don't use this or that or the other?"

Just leave me alone people...

I'm 24 so most people won't tell me anything directly to my face but I recently got:

"oh, did you get sun burned?"

And they weren't joking. That's what they thought.

I could cope so so much better if it were.

A teenage boy said the exact same thing to me about a year ago when I was just walking down the street minding my own business, his little gang that was with him burst out laughing of course. Worst thing was I was actually feeling pretty confident that day and had convinced myself my skin looked better than normal. Well he soon shattered that false hope.

Friend says to me in math class, "Hahaha, it's like have a bindi (indian red dot decoration) since your pimple is big enough and it's right in the middle." Other friends chuckle a little and glance away. Thank's a lot b**ch. She didn't have clear skin either. ):

"Damn...you have so many pimples. Look at that huge one! *points*" [slaps hand away and glares]

On train, going home with friends, "Lily, you should stop eating junk food and keep your hair away from your face. That way you won't get pimples." Five other friends nod along. [ignore]

The quick looks definitely hurt the most. x_x

my little sister is always saying things about how obsessed I am with my skin and how I'm OCD and crazy, but I dont take her seriously.

Anyways, i was at the dentist the other day. and the hygenist was in my mouth and I said "Yeah, I just woke up with this i dunno what it is" and she goes "yeah, are you stressed out?" and I said "huh!? stress causes blood blisters?? weird" I had one on the inside of my lip. She thought I was referring to my slight case of dermatitis around my mouth that looks like acne. She didnt say anything. I just felt like oh crap its noticable. It was real awkward. Then they were messing around in my mouth for awhile so when they were done all my makeup had dried and came off and it was so embrassing having to talk to them and walk out of there knowing that.

This thread really astonishes me at how many people have no problem with being truly evil

Oh, I just remembered one. I pierced my own nose one night and I was talking about it with my friends at lunch. I had been upset from something earlier that day, so I looked sad. Well, one girl sitting next to must have only heard me talking about my nose, and she said, "Its okay, Alyssa. Everyone gets blackheads on their nose." I wanted to punch her in the face.

>.<

She said it in front of everyone! Urgggh.

Not sure about the meanest thing ever said, because I would suspect I have been out of earshot for some of the stuff said :( Meanest things I have had said to me are usually of the "What the hell is that on your face?!" variety :wall:

Or the classic "Go home and wash your face!"

i can't think of many incidents, but my sister constantly has to remind me "you're breaking out real bad. you should do something about it."

one time my boyfriend and i were driving around, and it was around that time of the month, so my face was blotchy. now, usually i accept anything my boyfriend says and don't take it to heart because we're so used to one another and we've seen eachother at our worst..

but he ran his finger along my jawline (where i was breaking out) and said "what's up with your face? there are soo many marks."

it just hurt. i don't know why. ugh.

The worst one that's happened to me a couple of times is when I've had a pretty big white pimple and someone has noticed and actually started saying stuff to me like, "Dude, you need to pop that pimple," or "eww, that's nasty, you need to pop it." Oh, ok, I'll just pop it right here in class, effectively getting pus and blood on my face and ultimately making things worse. Thanks for the advice, dumbass!

I've had so many comments...I quit my part-time job because I couldnt take it anymore.

The WORST is when you know someone is thinking something about how bad your acne is while you talk to them. You just get this feeling thats hard to describe

comments while working at a register in a supermarket:

"You should see a derm about your acne" (I have for the last half year bitch)

"Daddy, whats wrong with that boys face?"

comments from 'friends' and family:

"Hahah your face looks like a tomato" (from the roaccutane which causes the flushing)

"oooh your skin looks really bad, you poor thing"

"hey ACNE" (this was the worst, being named after this disease as if I was defined by it :( )

(from ignorant greek grandparents) : "Whats these mosquito bites on your face?"

and of course lots of people making suggestions to wash your face.

I just dont get what gives these people the urge to say something, like just shut up you bastards.

i no how you feel, i work in a grocery store too and i have had kids say "daddy, look at that boys face","mommy whats on that mans face". it sucks, i just feel really pissed off and try to egnore them or walk away, on top of all that i am constantly thinking of what people think about when they look at me ,it just makes me feel really upset.

On my football team we used to wear sleeveless shirts which I hated because I have bad acne on my arms back chest neck and face. When I was a freshman in the weightlifting room I was sitting outside waiting for my turn, and there was a group of sophomoes next to me that pointed at my room and said ewww. Then they started acting like my acne was going to attack them.
