Meanest thing that someone has said about your acne

WAAAAY too many things, but I'll just name the three worst instances.

3. My "friend" called me pimpleface "jokingly". Infront of some guy I barely knew too.

2. I was out with my family and some family friends, and we were eating in a restaurant. One of my mom's friends has really bad eyesight, and she look at my face and asked "what is that red thing". I tried to play dumb / change the subject, and I was like "Huh? I must have gotten some food on my face." And then she STANDS UP, WALKS OVER, STARES at my face, and freaking POINTS at my pimple. Of course, she then proceeds to exclaim "Dear, that's not food, that's a pimple!" REALLY loudly. Pretty much the whole restaurant turned over to look. I just burst into tears and ran to the bathroom.

1. The worst thing EVER was probably the time I went to see a derm with my mom. He kept recommending me to get this $6000 laser treatment for my skin, and my mom said "maybe later". The derm proceeded to chuckle "well, at least you won't have to worry about your daughter getting a boyfriend anytime soon." Damn. I wanted to punch him in the face. Never went to a derm again after that.

My God, what a twat!

I'd have thought dermatologists would be the most empathic people, seeing as though I'm guessing that most things that inspire them to follow that general field would be actually having acne in their younger years.

I'd have full-on belted him in the face. Seriously.

I was under the impression that dermatologists choose that kind of career because you get a shitload of money without actually having to do work.

I don't think the derm ever got a pimple in his life.

He looks about 50 (under all the botox and whatnot), and has porcelain skin.

Male doctor too. :ninja:

most ppl don't care you even have it

I beg to differ. As long as I can remember all the girls I was interested in, always gave me that LOOK. The, "oh my god. ew!" Look.

Back on topic, I could really give at least 20, but I'll give the 3 or 4 most painful moments.

These were when I was working at Mcdonalds at around the age of 19.

Manager: "Only a mother could love a face like that!" She was saying it to the other grill workers right on the other side of the prep table, but it was an obvious insult.

Co-worker: "If I were burned in a fire, I still would look better than you"

Co-worker: "I thank god every night that I dont look as bad as you" (same guy/DOUCHEBAG)

After I turned 21, I went into the only bar that I liked, because I THOUGHT I was actually respected there. Upon entering, some drunk guy sitting there "damn, what happened to you get in a fire?"

I just ignored it and walked past and sat at the bar. The bar tender then asked "What happened to you?" I replied "what do you mean?" Her response was a circular motion with her finger around her face. "you get burned in a fire?" "No, its acne" "naaaaw, really what happened?" "SERIOUSLY, its acne!" I then ordered my beer and drank half, gave my money. and "accidentally" spilled the other half on the bar and left. I've never returned since.

damn that's really fucked up..... i just learn to diss back now or ignore it.. or change da subject. most of da time i just ignore.

btw i got some more...

I jokingly made a joke to this guy in my class.. Then he just takes it too far by saying Your face loks like a burn victim. and just scream BURN!!! hahaha.

at that point i fealt so told and dissed.. The girl next to me i guess she was trying to cheer me up. Just saying what's up. And trying to tell me jokes n w/e to make me laugh...

Some my friends just acting racist.

my friend says to my other friend. Your so white. replies ur so brown. N says to me your so yellow.

N they say he's not yellow he RED. and they all cracked up.

Dude you acne is getting of control you use to be so clear.

me: i know dawg... it' fucken sucks. you feel me?

I have a solution for you.

Me: i know im getting a really good treatment called accutane soon.

Naw fuck that shit. Just go commit suicide.

Damn acne is such a pain in the ass.. i honestly cannot deal with it any longer.

No one has ever said anything, except for today.

It was my sister's bday and she's 7, so we go to this kid arcade place, and one of the adults comment on how my friend and I look so alike we could be sisters. Then a little (sassy) girls says "no, she has more pimples" and points to me.

ahahah, it was funny though(surprisingly). I mean, little kids ARE the most honest but they blow everything out of proportion cause they have flawless skin. No biggie.

that little girl was such a loud mouth though. I was talking to the manager who was in his 30s or so and she goes "HEY, I THOUGHT YOU ALREADY HAVE A BOYFRIEEEEND" So embaressing.

in grade school there was always this one boy who would pick on me about me acne relentlessly. one time in 5th grade we had to work together on a group project and he was going on and on about my face and said

"hey pizza face do you even know what acne is?" luckily the other girl that was working with us stood up for me

in 7th grade i came to school a little bit later than i usually did and when i opened my locker boxes of oxy clean pads fell out. he and his friends were sitting at their desks laughing.

in dance class when i was 13 we were doing partner dances for our spring show and my dance teacher paired me up with this one boy. and when he found out we were partners he said "ew i dont want to dance with her ill probably get zits too"

this wasn't said directly to me but my mom would tell me how the other moms would hand her cards for dermatologists in the area and tell her that if she was a good parent she would take me to have my acne taken care of. by that point i had been to 3 different doctors. and its upsetting that my acne affected my mom as well....im 21 and am still struggling to rid myself of acne, but the things that hurt the worst are the things that have been said to me.

I'm sorry you came across so many jerks and insensitive people in your life

It's the worst when they think they know what's wrong with you when they really don't - and that bit about "if she was a good parent" how rude is that!!!? As if it was because of your mother's neglect  Some people....well I'll just say some people don't deserve what they have.

I've found that whenever I talk to a girl in dim lighting everything will go good. Then some douchbag will put bright lights on and I sware I saw a girl wince once lol. Needless to stay i've been spending my nights in my room secluded mostly it's just so much easier this way.

Lmao that wincing part was great. No offense. ;)

Wow that story about 7th grade just pisses me off. Kids can be really mean. I feel like going back in time and just hitting them for you. And believe me I don't like hitting people weaker than me.

I'm reading some more posts and it is hard to believe guys make fun of girls like that. No honor at all. I always thought it would be girls to guys, or guys to guys.

Hmm...

"You have some f*****g bad acne man"

"What the hell happened to your face?!" *hysterical laughter from her and the 5 people stood around her*

I agree that the worst is the looks you get from people and the way they act around you, rather than what is said to your face. I've also had some pretty nasty comments off my Grandmother, which hurt.

The worst thing I've ever heard was from my brother, believe it or not. He literally asked me "What the hell's all over your face? Are you not washing your face or something? Does your agency want to even work with you anymore?"

Needless to say, it sucked! hahahaha

But I'm CLEAR now...so HA!

honestly i don't have that problem. First off someone tryed that crap with me in 9th grade, i was new. HE said something like " yo nigga, ya face is fucked up". So i snickered alittle bit and then just stodd there. He said something like " what the fuck is ya problem man, ya stupid?" then he turned around and started laughing with his friends( 2 of em , short little punks). well the second he turned around i kick him into his locker , grabed his backpack and pulled him to the floor , were I kicked the shit out of him! look the point is that I over reacted! IM shure that sooner or later someone would have beat his ass oneday but for me thats not enough, id rather make shure that he got the message loud and clear and to make shure that i was the one to teach it to him.

but the fact is that 0you can't bother yourself with hwat people say. oh yea and Eldamus... man im not to shure about what you just said. If someone just said that shit to me his ass would be on the ground. But if your not shure if you can beat that person, then just tell him that you are hung like a horse and that he can get a spoon and eat your ass! come one man, it doesn't even have to be true! just make some shit up!

Oh yea and the worse thing that someone has ever said to me about my acne was "your acne makes you look so hot! make sweet love to me?"

bad part: it was Dick Cheny.........

(crying) im go lay down.......(crying)

same shit happended to me i had to woop this bitch ass cuz she was damn ur face is fucked so i jus beat the shit outta her. but u didnt over react u jus dont take bull shit. and i say that's a good thing so wateverz

My boyfriend: "Well you're obviously not trying to do anything about your face"

- That probably hurt the most because I try everything! My dad has probably spent more on acne stuff then anything! I for every 1 thing I buy, It seems I buy 3 more acne products. I research everything and I am on the strictest diet ever. I won't touch sugar.

A really cute guy: "If you stopped painting your face on, maybe you would look more attractive"

-I wear a lot of make-up to coverup the pimples and scars ):

Grandma: "What are all those red things all over your face, what are you doing to yourself..etc.etc." She went on for like TEN MINUTES..

By the way, reading these have really helped me. I am glad that I'm not alone!

From a girl at work who thought she was being clever:"I feel like an astronaut every time I come to work - look at your face! More craters than the moon!".

My response: "Yeah, but I can get these fixed - you're so ugly you'd need a fucking HEAD TRANSPLANT, bitch."

Never said a single word to me again. Was I being nice? No. But neither was she.

This might not have to do with this subject, but I think I've realized something good, Most of us if not all only have acne because our parentds did, I've gotten comments like wow you gotta lot of zits stuff like that. I don't think Ill ever call another person a fat ass, I used to really hate people that were fat or obese for some reason, but it's just like acne, it's just genetic. So I think I learned something really good reading these posts.

Being fat doesn't necessary mean it's genetics. I would say most of the fat people I've met just didn't take care of themselves.
