i think i've come to a point now where i know i have acne and i know it will someday go away. im 17 and im seeing my face again lmao. people don't really make fun of me. atleast to my face. but i dont really care cuz i know im bettter looking than them lmao (under my zits of course haa) but eh, you all can't let it get to you. i used to and i was super depressed. then i went tanning to get rid of them. wow did that work... for a week then blaaaaam. worse than ever.

but someone said "dude you gotta get some shit for that"

i hate it when people think it's just that easy.

i work in a health food store where we also sell natural soaps, and a customer was asking me about a face wash we carry.

"have you ever tried this? i'm looking for something for my son."

"yeah. i found it really drying but as long as his skin isn't sensitive it's worth a shot because it has tea tree oil in it."

"you tried it?! but YOU HAVE ACNE." *puts bottle back on shelf and walks away*

i also LOVE the days when i don't have time to put makeup on. i get "are you sick?" and "do you need to go home? you don't look so good." people must think i have leporsy or something

Ugh, I just wish people would bug off when it comes down to it. If people say things about my skin, I just have no clue how to react.

I think the one that really hurt me was when one of my friends was looking in the mirror and was upset that she had one tiny little zit. Okay, if your lucky enough to have perfect skin, this can seem like a big deal I guess.

I replied with "Well be thankful its only one hon, I've had this lot on my face for years."

To which I got the repsponse of; "Well. Maybe if you WASHED more, you know, that stuff called soap? It works wonders."

Oh wow! now if that had of been me, she wouldve had such a slap round the head. you try to be nice eh?

It wasn't mean, but very sweet. My 7 year old niece was watching me go through my cleaning regimen and was like "can I put that stuff on my face too?" I said "no, you don't need it. You have naturally beautiful skin". Then she said "oh, is it for the bumps?" and I said "yeah". So then she's like "well, it looks good. Your skin is getting much better". It really wasn't getting better at that point, but she's such a sweetie, she just wanted to make me feel better.

Once I was walking through town with my mum behind me... This girl looked at me and said "what are you staring at, you spotty bitch"

I just kept walking, and my mum said "Did you hear that girl?"

I was in a bad mood, Im suprised I didnt say anything to her !

Also, when I was younger I used to make cheap shots at my sister who is 2 years older. When we were in an arguemnt Id say "you spotty cow". I didnt have acne then, I guess it serves me right. Sometimes I think thats why I have acne, now.

Its kinda depressing looking back on old photos of myself, I developed later & I had beautiful face & skin. Aaaah the good ol' days.

Just dont let those stupid remarks get you down !! (It didnt make me feel any better when I said them - I had no experience) Some people need to experience the pain before they have an opinion on something.

I used to pity my best friend for having acne. I didn't take my clear skin for granted (I think), but I couldn't help feeling better about myself that I didn't have acne like her.

Now I have acne. D: Well, it's fading.

A girl in my class who sat right next to me looked at my face and said, "Hey, that group of pimples on your forehead looks like the constellation The Big Dipper. Maybe I can find another one..." and she proceeded to try to make out pictures from the zits on my face.

Hmm, let's see...

Fifth grade, I was walking into a gas station and I had a breakout plus a bad peeling sunburn. Also, I was in a serious awkward phase. A guy walking past me said, "Ooh, you're ugly!"

Sixth grade, I was walking down the hall and some eigth grade guys passed me. One of them pointed to his friend and said, "Hey! He likes you!" and then they all laughed as the guy was like "Eww! No!"

Oh and little kids can definitely be unintentionally brutal. Also, when I was in sixth grade, one little girl said to me, "Don't worry, my sister has those spots on her face, too."

And of course there's been several people that have said, "What's that on your face?" when I had a weird looking zit or one that I'd covered improperly with makeup.

No one even notices my acne now, though.

I have mastered the subtle and intricate art of corrective makeup.

When I was about 14, I had one pimple, can't remember any other then that until I was about 18.

Anyways a kid in class said as loud as possible, I didn't know jesus got pimples (he use to call me jesus).

He was the turtle, and had a monobrow, so I just responded with "I didn't know turtles got monobrows"

In the end he was the one embarrassed so it was okay.

Funny, my un-intelligant brother would take cheap shots at me for having acne.. funny thing is, hes already getting it at such an early age, where i got it much later then him. we would be in a argument and it would end with him saying somthing like "yea, ok. keep talking pimple face" and i couldnt say anything back exept for "yea, just wait until you become a teenager". now hes almost crying becuase he can see pimples on his face. i think what he did to me, made him have these pimples. i guess carma can be real?

Just a couple months ago I had a fairly big pimple on my nose and was talking to a kid who I normally don't talk to much but he was asking me about a math problem, so I helped the kid out and asked him if he needed anything else and he said "No thanks, I'm all set Rudolph." Now when he said Rudolph he meant as in the Christmas reign deer with the bright red nose. Let's just say it took me EVERYTHING in my power to just walk away without killing this kid, this is by far the most ignorant and rude things anybody has ever said to me.

Little did he know, I accidentally gave him the wrong answer.

the only comment I ever got was in 6th grade when I had one on my nose or something and this kid sitting in front of me on the bus said "your face looks bad" and I replied with "well at least I'm not fat, I can cover my problem with make-up" (he was kind of chunky)

I guess that was kind of rude of me but it was the first thing that came to mind

Nothing hurt me more than when a 8 year old kid from church came up to me, eyeing my face with that let's-observe-this kind of look, and then asking me "Why do you have so many pimples?"

I think it just hurt because he's a kid, and you know, kids pretty much say what's on their mind.

Anyhow, let's just pray karma doesn't strike that boy ^^

Maybe I should have slapped her, Overload! XD She might learn not to be so rude, hehe. ;)

It always makes me feel more embarassed/uncomfortable when kids ask about my skin. *hugs to AsiaXiah :) *

I got a stupid comment from one of the guys in my class yesterday, I really did loose my patience then. D:<

We are putting on a film festival as part of our assessment and when I suggested Lord of the Rings as a good book to film comparison the guy turned and said; "Typical nerd. Geeky, spotty and loves Lord of the Rings." He didn't say it in a nasty tone of voice (I think he was trying to joke about it), but still, it really made me mad. You just don't joke about how people look, y'know?

I ended up swearing at him pretty violently and telling him no geek could punch him as hard as I could, which I'd be happy to demonstrate on his face. :P

I've started saying to myself; "I can eventually do something about my bad skin. The person who insults me is stuck being an ugly person on the inside for good." It works too.

Lol one day in high school I was looking at my face in the mirror... in the bathroom and a girl comes in she was one of my friends. She always had pretty perfect skin... so she walks in, looks in the mirror and goes "OH MY GOD! look at this huge thing... its so notcieable!" and i was like "girl that's NOTHING... you can hardly see it, just be glad you don't have my skin." and she goes "ya but it's different...you've had them forever and on you it looks like a bunch of freckles or something". I was like wow... i did not expect that kind of answer ...

Why can't they shut the HELL cuz we noe wad happen and U ALL DO NOT NEED TO TELL US WAD IS GOING ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh jesus there are too many to count.

1. "Dont you hate it when you have to look at someone who put on way too much makeup to try to hide something, but only made it look worse?"

2. Someone once poked all of my cysts and just went "boop boop boop" which was REALLY irritating and embarassing.

3. "What's wrong with your face?"

4. "You really look bad today, you know."

5. "You should stop picking at that pimple."

6. In front of a bunch of coworkers.. "which sidewalk did you fall on?"

I'm generally not very embarrassed about my acne around friends and today I got a letter confirming my dermatologist appointment (please give me accutane). My room-mate who is very self absorbed and a bit of a cow saw it and was like "finally your doing something to clear up your skin". I tried to tell her I've been on all the antibiotics/topicals as i have done before but she clearly didn't care. I just hate the fact that she can ignore what I'm saying and then just believe her idea that I have left it till now.

Also it's reminded me of when I was chatting about my ex and how I lost my virginity. Obviously it was a true story but at the end she just said "I think you're lying because at that age it looks like you had bad acne and the guys with bad acne never get the girls" I mean I felt like a prick in front of like 7 close friends. What do you say to that?
